As a Web Developer, I was seeking to brush up on some skills, especially JavaScript. I wanted to see how the course was presented and taught before moving on to the other courses. So I started with the SheCodes Basic workshop. Matt is an amazing instructor. The course is presented in bite-sized chunks so you don't get overwhelmed. It leaves out all the bloat found in other online and classroom courses. It is a great course for anyone wanting to see if coding is for them. The Slack channel offers assistance when you need it. Overall, I am very pleased and will be recommending SheCodes to others.

The live video recordings give the best sense of real-time instruction, and the Slack chat assistance that all students have access to does help you feel connected to a source of help. Well structured introduction for people intrested in learning something new. Useful, practical tips. A lot of small tasks encourages you to try things on your own - so you learn better. Would surely recommend to others :)
I absolutely and highly recommend this workshop for learning the basics. Near the end of the workshop, I got excited knowing this is where the creativity comes to play. I don't know my limitations when it comes to web development and coding, but what I've gained from this experience is that I became expressive and felt the freedom in my creativity and I can't wait for the next workshops and to challenge myself further.

SheCodes Plus was a really great follow up to SheCodes Basic. I had a lot of fun building my weather app, and while it was not easy, it was VERY doable with Matt’s instruction. Nice course intro to HTML, CSS and JS. Matt explains things clearly so it's easy to understand, as well as teaching you good coding practices such as why you structure your code a particular way or when to use a certain technique. Would definitely recommend to others 👍
This second course was definitely a challenge. I believe that to be successful, a student needs to get additional knowledge outside of the SheCodes course for assistance. There are some parts in the coding journey that can be confusing. That being said, I do recommend this course because it demands great dedication and demonstrates how coding is powerful. I love the training structure with its videos & challenges as well as the SheCodes team via Slack. The teachers are always available and answer questions very quickly.
I am so glad that I signed up to one of the SheCodes courses! Coming from an education background, I had no idea what to expect. It was challenging, but the lessons were engaging and exciting. I had the best time learning to code, so I highly recommend signing up.

Personally, I thought SheCodes Basics was great. It was a very interactive introductory course to HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I did use Codecademy prior to starting the workshop, but I didn't feel motivated enough to finish the courses I signed up for. Unlike Codecademy, I was able to finish the workshop quite quickly, finishing it in less than a week. I recommend it for people who just want to know the very basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and make simple webpages.
It was difficult enough, but not impossible. By following Matt's instructions step by step, I was able to complete the project. I recommend everyone to try their hand at this course. Many thanks to the SheCodes team for this great opportunity.

100% recommend this course to anyone who is new to coding. Coding may seem intimidating but Matt breaks these classes down into short videos so it is easy to understand. Whenever I had any problems, Matt and his team answered my queries within 2 hours. I love the fact that after each tutorial video, there is a challenge to work on to ensure that we've understood the lesson. The project was pretty tedious for me but was definitely a fun experience!

I enjoyed the course a lot. The course doesn't require any previous programming experience and is suitable for absolute beginners who would like to try programming but don't know where to start. In the beginning, I just wanted to support the team for giving Ukrainian women an opportunity to learn web development during these harsh times. And in the end, I actually had a lot of fun doing all the homework, watching the videos, and learning. I have already recommended this course to a friend of mine.
I was quite hesitant before signing up because I didn't think I would be able to learn how to code. But the lessons are very well designed: the videos are short which makes it accessible, the exercises are fun but difficult enough to make it challenging and there is constant interaction with the SheCodes team 👩💻 in case you have questions. Also, since English is not my native language, I was afraid that learning to code would be a double challenge for me. But Matt speaks slowly and is super clear, plus there are tools like Close Caption to help those who have English as their second or third language. I highly recommend it; this course proves that we can all code 💪🏽💪🏽.

I have really enjoyed the Basics course. I had watched some videos previously, but I wanted some more practical experience and to see whether coding was the right direction for me. This was a great way to gain some knowledge, experience and confidence in coding; before thinking about committing to a more advanced course requiring more investment (of time and money!).
