It is quite an interesting way to start coding. The program is well organized as most of the times the answers to my questions/ curiosities were demonstrated in the following class. I recommend this workshop as a start even if you want to go to more complicated languages like Python and R. It is quite intuitive and the results of your coding can be seen straight away.

The plus, however, was the community of intelligent, supportive people who were there to help me every step of the way whenever I struggled with a problem. I enjoyed the responsive class a lot. Concepts were explained in depth. I probably could have created a reponsive website myself, but I'm sure it would have been a lot more frustrating and in the end I wouldn't have understood the concepts as in depth. This is why I absolutely recommend the responsive class to everyone.

I was totally new to coding and thought it was going to be too difficult to get my head around at first, but each step was explained really well. I wanted to learn something new to add to my skill set and now have the basics down. Once you get the hang of what you're doing it's really fun being able to design your own webpage. I love the flexibility and being able to go at your own pace within each week. The support system between coders and the SheCodes team is really strong and its a nice place to go and ask help if you're ever stuck on anything. Definitely recommend to anyone contemplating it🤍

Before even graduating from both Basic & Plus workshop I had already recommended this to several of friends.. I think it's a great workshop, very informative, helpful and loved the pace it delivers. If you're a beginner or have a bit of background it helps you put it all together.

I started off with Basics and now here I am in Plus preparing myself for React. I am so enthralled with coding and Matt gives such clear, concise instructions that it's hard not to feel like a professional programmer. Initially, I wanted to understand syntax a bit better. I was having a hard time with SQL + Python in my data science/analytics program and needed to step back to reevaluate my approach. Codecademy gave me a bit of insight as far as hands on, but there was no one there to explain it to me. So, I decided to give this a shot. I don't regret it at all. I absolutely love the workshops and highly recommend them.

SheCodes has taught me so much in just a couple of weeks. Coding is a lot of fun and there is so much space for creativity, it's really amazing! I can only recommend this workshop! If you want to broaden your horizon and expand your skillset - go for it!

I highly recommend this course for anyone who wants a basic understanding of how to code. The structure and flow of the training are exactly what I need to learn a new skill effectively, without being overwhelming. I have had a website for a while but couldn't figure out how to truly customize it without hiring someone. Then, once I did hire someone, I couldn't accurately describe what I wanted them to do which is beyond frustrating. Within the first weeks of the course, I have been able to revamp my entire website on my OWN by utilizing my new HTML, CSS, and Javascript knowledge. Can't recommend SheCodes Basics enough!

100% recommend! Besides some Python courses during my studies in Business Administration, I had nearly no experience in Coding. However, for the SheCodes Basics, no prior knowledge was requested. Both, explanations and the course structure were clear. I finished the course in 1,5 weeks as opposed to 3 weeks. However, I found that the first week of classes took significantly longer as it had more classes and challenges as opposed to the second week. The third week is primarily concerned with the creation of a personal project which was a lot of fun. Additionally, the community is amazing and so helpful when one is stuck with one of the challenges. Even if you are not looking for a job in tech I would highly recommend this course as part of building fundamentals and self-esteem. I will be looking into additional courses.

I highly recommend it! I learned so much by following the steps in sequence on how to create a basic website. It was so much fun to watch and learn. Everything makes sense to me by watching Matt in the videos. I admit that I had some difficulty in grasping the programming concepts when I took a programming course many years ago. Now, I finally got it after watching and following Matt. And yet, I am surprised that I still remember it like yesterday.

I find it insane how much I've learned with SheCodes! I particularly enjoyed learning the API integration. Would highly recommend it no any SheCodes Basic alumni. I loved all the SheCodes courses that I took, although I definitely got more out of the Basics workshop and the Plus workshop than I did from the React workshop, and that is probably because it is a newer course. I am so thankful I came across SheCodes. I had tried another expensive beginner coding course but was completely overwhelmed as a coding newbie. Matt teaches you the fundamentals in such an organized and fun way that I was really able to comprehend what I was learning. I was really impressed on how Matt breaks down each lesson and demonstrates how to implement the code in a video. The lesson challenges following the demonstration really helps with your comprehension and ultimately sticks in your head. This was the best experience learning to code for me. I was an absolute beginner when I started. Before I took this class, I never imagined I would be able to code. Matt does a great job of starting you off small, so that you feel victories as you go along to keep you motivated. All of the information about the programming languages was up to date information. This is much better than trying to go it alone. I enjoyed the final project so much and I would recommend SheCodes to any ladies I know that want to learn.

This was a great introduction to coding which has highlighted the unlimited creativity that accompanies it. I had no experience in coding before starting this workshop, but I learned so much in a short space of time! I would highly recommend this workshop to beginners.
