More background on the Responsive program would help, otherwise, it was good overall.

Creating this dictionary app was a great learning journey for me. I used two SheCodes APIs, one for fetching word definitions and another for retrieving related images to build a rich and interactive experience. When a user searches for a word, the app displays its definition, part of speech, example usage, synonyms, and relevant images that visually represent the word. Working with multiple APIs taught me how to manage asynchronous data, handle errors gracefully, and keep the UI responsive. This project helped me grow my skills in React and API integration, and it was incredibly satisfying to see everything come together into a functional, polished product.

"I just completed my World Clock web development project, and it’s been an exciting journey! I learned how to integrate time zone data using Moment.js, dynamically update content, and create a responsive interface. Working with JavaScript and Moment.js has significantly improved my ability to create dynamic, real-time applications. I gained hands-on experience with DOM manipulation, time formatting, and handling time zones across different regions. Using moment-timezone, I learned how to detect the user’s local time zone and update the interface in real time using setInterval. The Responsive module proved to be both educational and inspiring. Crafting a portfolio project allowed me to explore creative self-expression through code, presenting a rewarding personal challenge that felt both novel and exhilarating.

Completing the SheCodes Responsive workshop was a transformative experience for me. I gained hands-on skills in building responsive websites using HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and media queries, which has significantly boosted my confidence in frontend development. What stood out most was the teaching style, the instructor didn’t just walk through perfect code, but also made real mistakes live and talked us through fixing them. That honest, human approach made the learning process feel more approachable and helped me embrace debugging as a natural part of coding. I walked away from the workshop not only with new technical skills, but also with a mindset shift: mistakes are part of growth, and every bug is an opportunity to learn.

Learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript through this journey has been nothing short of transformative! From the very beginning, the step-by-step approach allowed me to grasp the fundamentals of web development with ease. HTML gave me the structure I needed, making me feel confident in creating web pages from scratch. CSS was where I got to flex my creative muscles, using styles to bring my designs to life, and I could see my progress as I learned about layouts, typography, and responsive design. JavaScript was the cherry on top. It turned my static pages into interactive, dynamic websites. Whether it was building simple functions or learning how to manipulate the DOM, I felt my problem-solving skills sharpen. The integration of all three technologies, HTML for structure, CSS for style, and JavaScript for interactivity, helped me create real, working websites that I could proudly share. What I loved most about this learning experience was how everything clicked together. As I progressed, I saw the power of combining these three core web technologies to create functional, user-friendly websites. The hands-on projects and real-world examples made it easy to see how all the pieces fit. I feel more confident than ever in my web development skills and can’t wait to take on more complex projects. This process has set me up for success, and I’m excited to continue growing as a developer!

I thoroughly enjoyed following the SheCodes Responsive workshop. It felt like everything I had learned so far came together in the final project. Learning Bootstrap and creating my portfolio website felt like a huge milestone, as I can now share what I've been learning and working on with my network!

This workshop teaches some amazing concepts on how to make a website responsive to different screen sizes. It explores Bootstrap, multiple page hosting and Git - which have all made my frontend development skills all the more better. Loved this experience and would 10/10 recommend!

The Basics Add-on course in Web Development has been an excellent experience for deepening my understanding of HTML and CSS. The course content was well-structured, starting with a strong review of foundational concepts and gradually moving into more advanced topics. Overall, this course significantly strengthened my confidence in writing cleaner, more professional HTML and CSS code. I feel better prepared to build responsive, user-friendly websites and continue growing as a web developer.

Definitely challenging! The final project helped reinforce everything I learned— especially with regards to Bootstrap, utility classes, and media queries. Building a multi-page, fully responsive portfolio involved a lot of refining and repetition, which really helped solidify the concepts taught in this course. I’m looking forward to continuing with the Responsive add-on next, then moving into React. I’m also excited to keep building out my portfolio with past projects, personal passion pieces, and eventually real-world client work that further reflect my growth as a developer.

I have learnt so much in just three weeks, it's been amazing to get to grips with the fundamentals of coding in a really practical way, with challenges that push you just enough to feel like you're applying what you're learning without feeling overwhelming.
