Ladies and non-binary folks, if you're looking to get your feet wet in the world of coding, SheCodes is where it's at! I recently completed their Basics course, and had such a great time that I decided to level up and try out their SheCodes Plus program. Let me tell you, some of those later sections were a real brain-bender, but the experience was totally worth it. If you're a newbie to coding, I'd definitely recommend practicing your JavaScript skills and dabbling with APIs a bit before diving in. But with a little bit of elbow grease and a lot of patience, you'll be coding up a storm in no time. A huge shoutout to Matt and the whole SheCodes team for putting together such a fantastic program - you guys rock!
I really enjoyed being able to create a functional weather application with SheCodes Plus! There were a lot of points where I felt we only hit surface level, especially with JavaScript. I found myself having to research a lot of concepts on my own. I feel like my understanding of functions, parameters, objects, and arrays are still elementary, but perhaps this is all part of the learning process. Start with small bites and dig deeper as we go and learning to help yourself. I played around with using the old API and the new one provided by SheCodes and feel like I have a good grasp on API integrations though. All in all this was a good beginner course and maybe I just need to review the course again.
I enjoyed so much this workshop from day one. Matt's lessons are so well explained, that every challenge was so entertaining to make and woke up my curiosity to learn. This first journey has been fun and I feel excited to continue with SheCodes Plus. I highly recommend it!
sheCodes plus opened me up to advanced aspect of HTML, CSS and JS, with an introduction to Git, GitHub and Netlify, this help to bring life to the application been built, and it was fun doing this. The lesson were easy to understand and the pace was perfect.
SheCodes Plus was definitely more challenging than SheCodes Basics :) Step by step building the weather app improved my skills and knowledge about coding. It is very rewarding to finish a project like this and show it to friends and family. They were never expecting that I will make something like this :D
Loved SheCodes Plus, it was so fun to learn how much we can do with coding and I can't wait to keep learning more, even if it's getting harder, it's still a very fun journey to be in!!

I came back to this extra project after finishing SheCodes Plus, half as a refresher and the other half to complete an extra project. And I'm glad I did, because I learn a number of new tips and tricks in the extra project I would have otherwise had to struggle with. So glad I signed up for the Max package to be able to do these extra fun projects!

I learned a lot in SheCodes Plus! It's so satisfying being able to put everything together to create an app. Things really started to click while completing Plus. Some things I struggled with, but I always knew I'd have a way to figure out the answer either through the resources, videos with Matt, or in the slack groups. I really enjoy the structure SheCodes provides. I'm feeling more and more confident.

The SheCodes curriculum structure is great for a beginner like me, learning each new skill and element in a practical way that made sense and could be applied to real-world situations. A great balance between having step-by-step instruction and independent problem-solving. The website has some amazing free resources too which are fun to explore, already have some ideas for future mini projects. Looking forward to starting SheCodes Plus and learning more!
SheCodes is a great first step into learning to code. I hadn't coded since learning Scratch in primary school but the way Matt explains his lessons makes the course fun and easy to follow. I wish we covered a bit more but i guess now I'll be moving on to SheCodes Plus!

Transitioning into project management since April 2022 and I have been taking a series of courses online, I joined a forum of project managers online and one thing that was mentioned to keep me ahead in this role is I should know the basics of Coding. surprisingly I am a medical laboratory scientist and have never coded in my life because I believe these are roles for men not until I came across SheCodes during my search for a platform to learn to code. this journey has been great and as someone with zero knowledge who now knows the basics of coding, it blows my mind. I am really grateful to the team on slack for their quick response to questions and to Matt you are amazing. joining the SheCodes plus class as soon as possible because, with the basic knowledge, I don't think project management will be enough maybe I can be a web developer or a skilled engineer...
SheCodes Plus is a challenging but interesting workshop. I found the concepts more challenging to grasp than SheCodes Basic but Matt breaks everything down into manageable chunks. I'm glad I have now completed the workshop and have a much greater understanding of HTML, CSS and JS.

I decided to do a career change and start my software developing journey with sheCodes. I liked in was focused on women learning how to code. The structure of the course was very easy to follow. The work itself was challenging, but having the opportunity to revisit the lessons and videos as many times as I needed it helped me understand HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I took both, sheCodes basic and sheCodes plus and i find myself very confident with my coding journey after a couple months. There is more to learn to eventually get a job, but this is a solid start point.
