I would recommend shecodes Plus to anyone who is confused about where to start their web development journey. The instructor teaches with super clarity, youll end up having a project to flex with at the end.
Upon starting this workshop, I quickly realised React has a steep learning curve. However, Matt made the topic approachable and less intimidating through clear explanations and informative demonstrations. This workshop has been a great learning experience that has left me feeling much more confident in furthering my knowledge of React. The project was an excellent means of putting what was taught throughout the workshop into practice. It is also a great follow-on from the SheCodes Plus workshop, highlighting the difference between Vanilla JS and React.
SheCodes plus is a much more advanced course in comparison to SheCodes Basics. Although it was challenging at times, I still highly recommend it. It has definitely helped me learn the foundations of web development!
I loved the SheCodes intro to Coding Workshop! I was looking to learn something new and had no idea how much fun coding could be. Matt is a great teacher and I really appreciate that you are able to learn at your own pace. I will likely sign up for SheCodes plus soon 😊💻
As a mom of two I found SheCodes Plus very challenging at times, and often frustrating just like Matt described, but in the end creating a weather app that works with real life data was an amazing feeling of achievement. I would highly recommend this workshop as the lessons are clear and concise, and you become a part of a community that's always ready to help. What I love the most? You get to learn at your pace, and if you need an extension or more time to grasp a lesson that is possible, its not like being in a classroom where you get left behind. A brilliant course! There was so much content and so much to learn. I loved learning all about animation. The challenges challenged me again, and Matt was so right when he said coding can be frustrating but really fun. SheCodes Plus is a good course in coding but I felt it was a bit slow, a lot of repetition and not so much new information. Compared to SheCodes Basic - it was not as comprehensive and considering the difference in price I frankly think it wasn't worth it. i enjoyed it nevertheless and felt I learned something new. The video instructions are usually very clear and it was fun to learn with you. I would recommend SheCodes Basic course to everyone, but not sure SheCodes Plus lived up to the expectations.
I had a lot of fun learning and doing the shecodes plus project. I'd tried to learn javascript before but always had problem with understanding it and didn't like it that much. Now however, with these step by step and amazing tutorials, I enjoy coding and creating more than ever.

Taking SheCodes React without taking SheCodes Plus is possible, but it would take some time to catch up if you don't have any extra help.

My name is Sthandiwe Msweli from South Africa and my coding journey so far has been amazing. So before I started coding I graduated in Business and information Manangement and I was not happy with what I've studyed but because I wanted to have a qulification and get a job so I can earn a living so i went on with it. Fast cracking my story after I graduated had no luck in finding a job so after a year, on my second year of staying at home without any luck of getting a job, I did a free trail in coding on some bootcamp and I fall inlove with it but to enroll to that bootcamp you needed funding which I did'nt have. So I did my reserch and I ended up founding SheCodes Foundation that when I start my coding journey and it has been a wonderful journey and I thank the Lord for this opportunity still on it and excicted for more learning and more adventure in coding 💜 plus I have completed my shecodes plus and responsive it was challenging but yet amazing experience the fact that I now have my first project that operates with real life data it amazes me I’m learning a lot can not wait for my next lessons and project ❤️”

SheCodes Plus was super challenging for me, but so rewarding. Juggling my final semester of university and the workshop was overwhelming but i am so glad i finished it! I have learned so much from this workshop and working on the final project was super fun, even when i got stuck and found it difficult, i was able to work on my debugging skills and pay extra attention to details. I'm so excited to have finished the SheCodes Plus workshop! I can't believe how much I've learned. I'm so proud of myself for sticking with it, even when things got tough. I learned HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and I'm now confident that I can create my own websites and web applications. JavaScript was definitely the most challenging for me, but I was able to overcome it with the help of the SheCodes resources, especially Athena AI. My final project was a weather application that fetches live data from a weather API. It was a challenging project, but it was also so much fun! I learned so much about weather data and how to display it in a user-friendly way. I would highly recommend the SheCodes workshop to anyone who is interested in learning how to code. It's an amazing opportunity to learn from experienced instructors and to build a community of supportive women.

The Shecodes Plus workshop, honestly tested my muscle memory when it came to the retention of knowledge that I had as an individual but once I crossed over the slight imposter syndrome of the fact that I may not know what I'm doing or I'm forcing at something, everything seemed to fit in place. After lots of breaks, starting over, and asking for assistance where needed I am honored to have completed its workshop with the confidence that I honestly put my best foot forward and can't wait to continue to find my place in tech and work towards my goals as a woman walking into STEM.

Matt puts everything we've learned from SheCodes Basic, SheCodes Plus, and SheCodes Responsive into two big React projects. It was challenging but also really fun to see my code come to life. If there is one thing I have taken away from this second project, it's that the best thing to do when one gets frustrated, is to step away for a few moments, relax or do something else, and when you return the answer often times just comes to you.

I have a couple of years' experience in an Android App Development role.I am on career break from last 4 years. SheCodes Fondation is great platform for women's which are on career break and still want to keep their coding skill alive. After completing this SheCodes Plus (HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT, GITHUB, NETLIFY) I am now confident about to going back to my work.
although shecodes plus was much more difficult than the previous course, I'm glad to have done it and it helped me understand so much more about coding. would definitely recommend! =)

This course is definitely less information-dense than SheCodes Plus and, since you don't use JS to make a website responsive, much easier to understand! I also think the way Matt explains how to use Bootstrap in this course is much clearer than in SCP and you learn fundamental skills to make your website look great on all devices :) I personally still struggle a bit when Matt becomes messy and confusing but he's also really funny and engaging - never boring!
