I am working in IT industry and talk with developers almost on daily basis, so I decided that it was useful to get some basic coding knowledge to be able to speak the same language with them. I really enjoyed the workshop, everything is explained in details and it is clear even if you don´`t have any previous knowledge. I also liked the the challenges and appreciated the support in Slack.
Lessons are designed to be easy to understand. The support specialist is very professional and enthusiastic.
Prior to this course, I had zero experience with coding. I always thought it was something really hard to learn. I tried to learn by myself but the online class I was taking had no support, it was hard to keep myself motivated. I heard about SheCodes in an online group of women in tech, I did some research and I decided to give it a try. I am very happy that I made the decision to try one more time with SheCodes, I have all the support I need when I get stuck at some part of my code, the lessons are direct and short, very well put together! I am excited to continue on this journey.

SheCodes Basics was my first introduction to Coding. I wanted to learn to code for a while. After taking the free coding class, I knew SheCodes was where I wanted to start my journey! The lessons were easy to follow Matt did a great job providing multiple examples and giving us a chance to try it before providing a solution. Also, I felt so much support during going through this workshop. If I was ever stuck I could reach out to classmates or the SheCodes support team. I can't wait to continue my journey with SheCodes!
After finishing SheCodes Basic, I started SheCodes Plus straight away. I am so new to coding and was so enthusiastic with my first project, I did not want to lose momentum. It was not easy, but I'm super happy with my decision and I can't wait to start SheCodes – Responsive.
It was very intense and hands-on-experience course! I enjoyed every bit. I always loved coding and regrated never dropping out computer science back in Uni. I decided to try out SheCodes Plus since I had such a great experience with lessons and the support system in SheCodes Basic. I have to admit this workshop was very changeling as it goes more in-depth in JS and html. Was difficult in balancing a full-time job & these lessons, but it is so rewarding and proud to say I made it!!
SheCodes has been a great experience and incredibly easy to follow. It's user friendly, they give you so many tools to use at your disposal, and offer a supportive community should you need/want it.

I never thought I'd be able to code until I found SheCodes. I am currently within the HR career path. However, I have always been curious about coding. I heard about SheCodes last year, and I decided 2022 was going to be my year to EMBARK on this coding journey. The main aspect I was interested in with coding was web design. 👩🏽💻I enjoyed learning HTML, CSS, and JS. I did not expect to learn as much as I did in this coding basics class. All the lessons are ordered in a way for easy learning and comprehension. Matt is an amazing teacher. With each homework assignment and project, you get to test your knowledge! I was hesitant to learn this on my own- however with the support of the SheCodes squad/other learners, I felt empowered that if I didn't understand- I could reach out on the real-time Slack chat. My final project reflects my love for baking! I tried to make it simple yet modern. There are still some concepts I would love to learn in order to implement for further development of my web design skills! I'm not sure what the future is for my coding journey as of now. With zero prior coding knowledge I watched the free coding video to see what coding is all about. I was instantly interested so I took part in the SheCodes basics course. One of the best basic coding classes I've attended. I've never been so far into a coding course and understood so much. Coding is really fun, it is very satisfying to construct a page and experience how ideas are materialized. The team has been most supportive, questions get answered promptly. SheCodes Basics was the best introduction to coding I could have hoped for! The lessons were very clear and easy to follow. I loved the video-learning format. It was super easy to connect with SheCodes if you needed help and the Slack channel was really supportive.
So far so good! This has been a challenge, in a good way. I am happy to have step out of my comfort zone and I am excited for what is to come in the next levels. Matt's devotion and just overall kindness is contagious and even though my interaction in Slack was minimal, it was very nice to know that I had support if needed and that I am surrounded by a bunch of clever women.
The Basic workshop gives me a chance to try whether coding is my cup of tea. I have no experience and started from scratch. Eventually, I am able to complete the 3-week program and definitely enjoy the teaching approach and support from the community:)

I went into this workshop with what was probably negative coding knowledge. I finished Basics in about a week and a half, and I loved it! I liked the fact that the course had structure and deadlines. Really helpful in making sure I kept up with the course. The support team was brilliant and amazing at what they do. I did find bits of it slow or tedious - but I actually enjoyed the final project. I will be continuing on to the next course. would recommend for complete beginners. the way Matt talks you through step by step really helps you focus. This course is a coding advantage. The fact that they teach you a language that many companies are using gives a plus to your learning. Although you must have some prior knowledge, I felt that my knowledge increased a lot and it was not so complicated for me. In addition, the support of the team always helps you get ahead.
Going through the workshop was pretty intense, for all the good reasons. I usually paused and asked myself how hard it would have been learning all that Java Script without an instructor who broke everything into reasonable bits that one can easily absorb and process. Matt has been such a great instructor. The Slack technical team was amazing too. Well, Slack is where I learnt from other SheCoders that it is OK to feel stuck while working on a project, and that there is no shame at SheCodes if you cannot piece everything together at a given time. We are all learning and supportive of each other. Definitely, SheCodes is the place to be for everyone willing to learn coding. Here's to, as Matt says, happy coding.
As an absolute beginner, my experience with SheCodes was great. I was afraid I would not be able to do it, that I would find it too hard or get stuck or just bored of it, but it was the opposite. Thanks to a great team that is always ready to support you and Matt's very clear lessons, I managed to get through all classes and challenges and I actually understood how much I like coding. This is of course just the beginning, but I have found something challenging and fun that I really enjoy doing. I suggest to everybody who is interested in coding to give this a try and not be afraid: it is gonna be a rewarding experience.

As someone who has always had an interest in coding and tech but never knew how to get in (and having left school!) I really thought I would never be able to learn a skill such as this. After being recommended the course through a friend I couldn't be happier with the results so far! Great teaching tools and support through the Slack community and fun challenges with the appropriate amount of 'hand holding' vs encouragement to find the answers yourself! Another great workshop from SheCodes! Glad I got to dive more in-depth into developments tools being used. The courses provided, there is a good balance of learning and creating. The on-call support through Slack is great to have if needed, but so far the encouragement to independently research solutions where possible is great to prepare for real-world experience.

When I first began the workshop, I wasn't a stranger to coding but even when you are a computer science student and know the basics of coding, there are so much more that you can learn with SheCodes' workshops. I absolutely loved the content, challenges and the useful tools that SheCodes introduced to me. I now have a complete different perspective when it comes to coding. I've had so much fun working on this project! It has been a welcome creative output in between classes and exams. I'm very excited to use the tools I've learned and basic HTML, CSS and JS to create other projects in the future. As always, the instruction videos are wonderful, but for this project I've found the lovely support team on Slack to be especially helpful. The team at SheCodes were also very approachable to get extensions etc. during exam season.

This course made coding seem very easy and fun for a complete beginner. I also really loved the support I got when I had a question or needed help. I got the answers really quickly (sometimes within five minutes!). Everybody is very nice and helpful, so this felt like a safe environment to learn!
This workshop was very interesting and educational, I've learned a lot of things that were new to me. Sometimes I would feel overwhelmed by all the new information that I was receiving but with patience and with support from the other students I've made it and I'm so happy. The workshop is easy to understand but difficult because you need to put effort in it, if you don't then it's hard to get better.
I started this course as a complete beginner over the winter break since I had always been so curious about learning to code : at first, I was worried about whether I'll be able to complete this course and get my certificate, but I did it! We really did take baby steps in the beginning and Matt is a particularly good teacher :) It was challenging at times but I'm so grateful for all the knowledge and technical skills I've acquired during those 3 weeks (and for the support that I got from the SheCodes team when I was stuck). Overall, I'd say it was worth the price!
In such a short period of time (in 3 weeks) I was able to learn the basics of coding and was able to build a short website by myself! When I was stuck in homework and challenges, there are always people around to support and help me out. I love working in this supportive and helpful environment and definitely recommend people who are trying to pick up a new skill or know nothing about coding to try it out!
It was a very challenging process with lots of bugs and issues to solve along this journey. However, it was really rewarding to learn so much in a short period of time. I have to emphasize Matt's ability to make things clear. It's easy to follow his instructions. The support team on Slack is also so helpful. I don't have any complaints.
