This Workshop has been an experience and a revelation. the instructions are pretty easy to follow and yet the challenges are both easy and fun while also challenging and pushing me to research more. Matt is a great teacher and makes it look easy, so that even when I doubt myself I still go ahead with the challenges proving at every step that it is doable. The slack platform is a life saver. I am deathly afraid of asking questions and appearing stupid to strangers but the SheCodes technical support team are both helpful, polite and never make you feel stupid, no matter the question asked. the flexibility of the workshop is perfect for someone like me who has to combine work and study. And I cannot be grateful enough for a chance to prove that THIS girl CAN code!

I started to learn about coding through the use of a game that teaches one of the many computer programming languages. I really enjoyed the puzzle-solving aspect of the game so I wanted to further explore coding. SheCodes has been the perfect way to do that! Great introduction to coding from an experienced teacher. I appreciated the course being crafted to include the most relevant aspects for beginners, rather than me having to navigate through lots of resources and work out for myself what to learn.

I tried learning js during the quarantine and loved it. I even started making my own site IlearnRussian.net However, I realized that my knowledge needs to be consolidated and sharpened by mentors, so I'm trying to find a school. JS is not an easy language to master for me, and I would love to learn from teachers. (So far I've been learning on my own). During quarantine two years ago, I watched a video, where I heard about html, googled it, didn't understand the explanation, searched it on youtube, watched videos and practiced, was surprised that it's so simple, and gradually got from html / css to js. Since I have a project I'm interested in, I started working on that. I teach foreign languages, focusing on teaching Russian for foreigners. So I started working on a site teaching Russian to foreigners (IlearnRussian.net). The things there are what I did on my own, a project I learned by watching a youtube video, or a code I googled on the internet.
A great course I could fit around work. Matt is a great teacher!

I am very surprised at how much I learned during this workshop. Many of the topics in SheCodes Plus were completely new to me and while I may not be 100% comfortable with them, I am not completely lost either. I never thought that it would be so much fun to create a website by myself. I have long been interested in how to program such pages and SheCodes is the perfect training platform for self-study. The videos and short exercises are very well organized and the platform is very easy to use. Really great job by Matt, he is an ideal teacher who can explain really well.

I would recommend this course for anyone who is really interested in coding. React made a lot things easier than vanilla js but at the same time felt like it's very complex. Learnt a lot from this course and thanks matt for being amazing teacher.

Learning all the tricks and tips was a lot at first but once you physically do them a couple of times, you get the hang of it. Matt explains the concepts really well. He is a superb teacher. I'm really proud of how far I've come with the help of SheCodes. I don't think I could have done any of this without Matt and his superior team.

This workshop was really fun! I was pleased that SheCodesPlus included the best features of SheCodes Basics while also making a leap forward in terms of the sophistication of techniques and in professional development. I appreciate Matt Delac's teaching at a deeper level now, too. Although he isn't showy or dogmatic about it, Matt has a true professional's discernment for best practices and an almost aesthetic sense of judgment for the relative elegance of competing solutions, which I deeply value as a student. Plenty of self-appointed teachers can show off tricks of the trade or teach expedient, "thrown-together" solutions without transmitting a sense for why one approach to a problem is less adequate than another. In my opinion, that's a major point of value that sets SheCodes apart from its competitors and from the "teach yourself" sites. Matt doesn't want to just teach us to code; he wants to teach us to become *good* coders who are self-reliant, resilient, and resourceful problem-solvers.
