This course is wonderful, you overcome the fear of coding in a very practical and didactic way. The teacher's explanations are excellent and at a pace that neither bores nor loses you. The support in the chat is also constant and very friendly. Without a doubt, a good choice that I would recommend to my friends.
I think it is important to link with a teacher that teaches at your pace. I have tried a few different programs and didn't understand what I was being taught. However, at SheCodes, I have found that Matt teaches in a way that is simplified and understandable. I have shared this link with 5 friends already who are interested and I say "he teaches to the point, to get this, do this". That is the type of teaching that I learn from. I also found Slack to be useful when I am stuck as other programs do not have that option.

I honestly never thought I would be able to learn JS, let alone finish a web app by myself! Especially after taking so many online tutorials/courses and ending up frustrated. After finishing the Intro to Coding I Workshop I just had to keep going and the Front End Development was the obvious next step. Matt is a fantastic teacher, explaining every step of the way as he goes along, and feel I have a pretty solid foundation on JS and Front End now to start my own projects now. I recommend the workshops by all my heart! It wasn't that easy to keep up with all deadlines because of crazy Xmas time nevertheless I've managed because it was SO MUCH FUN to finally understand what it is all about 😀 Formula of the course is great and thanks to the small steps method you quickly gain necessary knowledge of tools and skills to create your own basic web page and the best part of it you can continue to learn individually thanks to Matt's tips. I was extremely intimidated by coding and didn't have much confidence in myself. When Matt explained that it was just like learning a language and that it could be rather creative, it put me at ease. 3 weeks ago, I had no idea where to begin, and now I want to continue and see how much further I can take this. He even influenced me on how to be a better teacher when I teach students how to use new educational computer programs via webinars. The way he walked us through it and broke everything down along with hands-on assignments was really great. Thank you so much! I hope to see you soon at the 4-month workshop.
Really easy to learn and to take your own time to learn and expand your knowledge. I love that the program is for women, I'd have loved to have had women mentoring/ answering our questions us as well. The teachers were really prepared and replied very fast. I'm very satisfied with everything that I learned with the program.

I found this workshop super enjoyable! I had zero coding experience before I signed up to SheCodes. I've found the SheCodes Plus course very helpful and inspiring. I've had so much fun learning more advanced features about front-end programming and getting to understand a little bit better how JS and back-end programming is about. I cannot recommend SheCodes enough! I had been on the fence for over a year about whether or not I wanted to give coding a try, but with every other program I either could not work it into my budget, or it simply didn't feel like the right fit. Then SheCodes falls into my lap! Matt is a wonderful teacher, and I had so much fun with this particular format of learning and community, and it finally gave me back some confidence as I committed to challenging myself and learning this new skill set. I consider myself primarily right-brained, with no major natural inclination towards the technical and analytical, and this felt really stimulating and satisfying for me. If you are a creative, do not let coding scare you off! There's room for absolutely anyone who's curious enough to try it. I can't wait to jump into either SheCodes Plus or SheCodes Plus React asap! Before SheCodes workshop I had some basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and JS but I was lacking structure and understanding of particular steps or actions in coding. Only after 3 weeks I gained new skills, organized my knowledge and now I can use it with confidence. Matt is a great teacher! He explains every aspect very clearly and in an interesting and fun way. I got completely addicted to coding👩💻 and I cannot wait for my next workshop!

I had always been interested in coding but was worried it was too complicated and would be impossible to learn. After taking the SheCodes Introduction to Coding workshop, I decided to take SheCodes Plus to expand on the basics I'd already learned. This course was a lot more challenging (as expected), but also very rewarding. I was able to build a fully-functioning weather application that I was very happy with and even started delving into more advanced concepts to get the forecasting functionality to work. I am now considering taking the SheCodes Plus React course, and will definitely be continuing my coding journey. If you're in doubt as to whether or not this is for you, I'd say just give it a try - you might surprise yourself! Matt is a great teacher and presents everything clearly and in a logical way. I had no basic knowledge of coding when I first started, but I've always been interested in learning how to code. Taking online courses can be very hard, especially having to sit and watch a long video; SheCodes is well structured and the videos are clear and easy to understand. Matt is a great teacher; I thought it would be close to impossible to learn the basic concepts of coding online but now I know that it's actually possible.
Growing up I did not engage anything STEM related and now I regret it! Learning to Code gave me a powerful sense of wow I could actually do this! Keep in mind I have no experience with technology, I currently am a Teacher Assistant, and after taking this workshop and learning from Matt I'm thirsty to learn more about coding. If you're ready to learn a new skill to advance or start a new career, take a stab at coding. I was hesitant at first, but now I'm hooked!

I've always been interested in learning programming. A few years ago, I even tried studying computer science at university, however, I didn't like it at all because it was mainly focusing on the theory of it and not really on programming itself :( SheCodes on the other hand was so much fun!! Matt is a really nice and fun teacher. His videos are never boring and you always get to learn so many new things. I'm really, really glad I found an ad for SheCodes on Instagram, otherwise my interest for programming would have been gone forever.
I joined the SheCodes bootcamp as a refresher and to add more tools to my tool chest. Matt is a great teacher and more importantly both he and his staff are really involved with the students. This isn't a trait that most CEO's possess nor do they create a company culture that reflect those same values. You can connect with Matt on LinkedIn and he will actually respond and answer your Inmail message. The key to success as with anything is you get out what you put in. With that in mind, be sure to ask lots of questions, participate in Slack, and push yourself and you'll be amazed what you can accomplish with commitment. Portioned in small 'learning-bites' it really helped me stay organised and (actually!) remember well what i learned throughout the weeks. Also Matt is a very enjoyable teacher to listen to. I really didn't think I'd ever come to say this, but i am actually considering to book one of the next courses in the future. Thanks for building this programme! =)

SheCodes is one of the best beginners workshop out there. Matt is an amazing teacher, he takes the time to break things down to you and gives great context regarding each subject. With every lesson there is a challenge for you to test your knowledge and exercise what you've just learnt. Matt has a great team at hand helping you with any issues on the group working platform. I've thoroughly enjoyed learning html, css and javascript - seeing what they can do has been eye-opening.
SheCodes Plus was a real challenge. I learned a lot and the support from teachers was great. The course material was really good to create a simple project. When I tried to make my project more complex, I found the help I needed through the slack channel.
All the classes were easy to follow and Matt is a great teacher! He explains in a nice, easy way, and I could definitely start understanding a lot of things that I've always seen people around me talking about - yeah, working in Advertisement and Design and not knowing this, you're a fish out of water! After graduating from the SheCodes Introduction to Coding, I went on to SheCodes plus - it's been an overall fantastic learning experience. I highly recommend the SheCodes workshops! I was always very curious about coding, but never really had the time to explore this world, when this course came up on my LinkedIn feed it felt perfect timing! I first went to the free coding class with Matt and in just that 1h I learned so much. The SheCodes Online Workshop is suited for students of all ages and for beginners, it's well-paced, and at the end of each lesson, we have the opportunity to also practice with homework and projects. We are fully supported, if we have any difficulties on the projects we can ask the technical assistants and fellow students, and Matt is a brilliant teacher! After this workshop, I'm thinking to continue my studies in coding!
I thoroughly enjoyed this course! I found the JavaScript a little tricky but when I spent some time on the lessons and recapped what we had done, it started to click! I found getting up, walking away, having a coffee and returning definitely helps. I think Matt is a great teacher and the admins on Slack were extremely helpful as / when we needed something.

Wow! I seriously can't believe everything that I have learned during this workshop. Matt is a great teacher! He is able to explain aspects of coding in a simple and understandable way. I personally don't know if I would have been able to get this far without his ability to breakdown the flow of each coding language, and without the weekly deadlines and remainders that helped keep me accountable.
Coding seemed a daunting task but Matt,João made it easier to sail through.Matt is an incredible teacher,explains the things in extremely simple and impressive way that makes even a novice to understand the concepts well. You guys are an incredible and well organised team Matt,Lexi and João.Keep doing the good work!I would highly recommend shecodes to the ones i Know.
I'm really glad i took the time to check-out the free workshop because it made me feel that more comfortable with enrolling in a beginners 3 week course with Matt, founder of SheCodes and awesome teacher. The information provided is explained thoroughly and all the necessary tools are provided. The lessons and challenges were so engaging they kept me hooked to my laptop for hours. The beauty of participating online though, is having the flexibility to study whenever i had the time. There is always someone available to help or advise. So happy to have gained more confidence with HTML,CSS and JAVASCRIPT. I totally recommend SheCodes.

SheCodes Plus builds very nicely on the first workshop. Being new to coding, I feel I am gaining a lot of knowledge that will help me further develop this new skill and open doors to new opportunities, all within a very supportive learning environment. Though I did not have any academical background knowledge I have always been passionate about having some coding skills. SheCodes program was the perfect solution for me as I was looking for online workshops suitable for a beginner. There was clear objective of each class so I knew what I will be learning each time. Matt was an amazing teacher also. With his explanation I managed to understand concepts that I used to get confused before. Looking forward to having more workshops from SheCodes!
Matt was such a great teacher and all of the videos were easy to follow. He also makes sure to not teach every single thing so that you have to do a bit of research and messing around to figure things out. Also loved how helpful the Slack channel was and never felt put off to ask questions in there
I had so much fun learning to code with SheCodes. It's definitely not an easy course to go through but Matt is an amazing teacher. He explains everything so well and very easy for you to understand. I loved the challenges after each lessons. I have gained so much valuable skills on html, css and javascript in this course and looking forward to start SheCourse Plus next!
