SheCodes has given me the opportunity to learn and broaden my skills. I never once thought of myself coding yet being in the Tech field. Thanks to SheCodes I get the time to understand a concept and have their team help throughout the journey.

Coming into this course, I was excited, but I didn't know how my life would change weeks later. I really enjoyed the React Add-On workshop. I learnt to build a fully functional dictionary, showing meanings, examples, synonyms and images related to the word. The project involved using APIs and react loops, also splitting application into different components to ensure they are clear, and easy to understand/manoeuvre. It's really amazing to have made it this far in my coding journey, starting from understanding html basics to vanilla javascript, python and react- I thank Matt for his great and detailed tutorship as well as the SheCodes support team for their prompt support/guidance whenever needed.

My experience in this workshop is one that i would love to share with the entire world, reason been that i had been unwell when i started this workshop and i thought that i could manage and do it due to my passion but unfortunately i couldn't, so i had to take an extension twice and this made me sad and still due to my health condition i still couldn't meet up and when i asked my sister to bring my laptop over to me so i could request for another extension then i noticed that i was out of extensions as i had used up all my extensions, this made me so sad throughout the day, so when i got a bit better i chatted up the SheCodes team and told them about my current health condition and to be honest i wasn't expecting such a caring response the team gave me as i thought they wouldn't care much, but that response made my day and also got me so happy, the response i got was "Oh we so sorry to hear that, don't worry, get better soon and rest well, the workshop is self paced and don't worry you won't be penalized in any way and we have increased your extension, don't forget if you have any problem we are here to help" this response i will never forget it as it shows that apart from gaining valuable knowledge from all the workshops we are also cared for, with that in mind i gave my project all i got and i practice so well as this workshop is the most favorite for me so far and i enjoyed playing around with different theme, grid and backgrounds. I might not have said this before but i will make the entire SheCodes community proud someday insha Allah and that day i will tell the world about my journey from a beginner to a developer😍up up SheCodes.

SheCodes Basics Add-on week is another game changer period for me, relating to upskilling my front-end development abilities. I had been thinking about taking this course for over a year now, and thanks to the SheCodes team never forgetting about me, and the patience they have shown, I've finally started my journey! This course has given me the confidence to move forward with coding as a career.

React was really really challenging!! Despite having a solid foundation in vanilla JavaScript, react had me going through sleepless nights trying to code, fix codes, figure out what I am to do, or what I am doing wrong. Nonetheless, it has been the most rewarding workshop because I learnt a whole lot of new techniques - I was able to create components to structure and streamline codes in order to build powerful apps. I learnt how to build interactions using functions, closure and state-management. At the end of the workshop, I was able to build a sophisticated weather app using react, and then hosting my application online. Once more, I would like to thank Matt and the SheCodes team for the great workshop and timely support rendered throughout the process.

This section of coding was quite challenging, but I still enjoyed it and can confidently say that I know more than I did before. Thank you to Matt and the team for helping us through all the steps and being patient.

I’ve taken coding courses in the past but never really enjoyed them — they were either too boring or overcomplicated. This course was completely different. The whole team was helpful and supportive, and Matt honestly changed the game for me. He made coding fun and easy to understand, and for the first time, I actually enjoyed learning. I’d recommend this course to anyone thinking about getting into coding.

React is in a class of its own. Tons and tons of patience and due diligence are needed to get thru this. Then again when you have the app at the end, it was all worth it. An immense "Thank You" to the SheCodes Team.

I was with SheCodes a few years back for their Basics program, even then after countless tries and different avenues of learning front-stack... only with Matt was I able to really pick it up. So, I went all in with the best, most complete coding workshop I have found, again... Matt has it! At the beginning I didn't think I can manage but I made it! The videos are super helpful breaking down the seemingly "horrifying" projects into easier steps (if you keep trying, you will manage). The SheCodes Responsive Add-on was an incredible experience! I created a website inspired by something I’m passionate about—my city, London. From beautiful grids to interactive cards and even an HTML table, I included it all: a hero section, a Footer, Embeds, and CSS Filters. I made it fully responsive for smaller devices without using Bootstrap. Thank you to Matt and the SheCodes team for breaking everything down step by step. Having an example website and a Figma design to follow made a big difference—it really helped me visualize and bring my ideas to life. I’m so proud of what I built and how much I’ve learned. I definitely feel more confident coding websites now!

So far, this has been the most challenging yet the most rewarding course I have completed with SheCodes. I have had a fantastic week of free learning! I learned about CSS backgrounds, transforms, grids, styling, dark themes, and animations. A big thank you to the Delac Foundation and SheCodes team for making the experience engaging, supportive, and easy to understand.

This was by far the most challenging course from SheCodes. I personally found React very confusing and intimidating. I also thought that starting to learn React on CodePen and then migrating to VSCode added another layer of complexity that I found unnecessary. It would have been nice to create something other than another weather application, but I did learn a lot along the way. Thanks SheCodes team for another workshop!

React was so much fun! It was challenging and yet I enjoyed it a lot more than vanilla javascript. I thought the processes were a lot easier to understand. Thankfully I had a lot of support from the team to learn it and enjoy it

I am so happy to finally complete this course. The course content was also quite challenging, especially the forecast implementation. However, I made it. I look forward to going further with SheCodes. Thank you so much to the tutor, Mr Delac, and the team. I learnt a lot and love the app I built.

Wow! What a glorious ride. I am so grateful to Matt Delac and the entire SheCodes foundation team for this great opportunity. I now have a great appreciation of HTML, CSS AND JavaScript. Its clearly not an easy course, but the rewards are amazing. I got to learn a lot in just a space of 3 weeks. My coding skills have greatly improved.
