Creating the weather app was both challenging and fun. Having the videos nice and short allows you to progress at your own pace and get a better understanding for each lesson.
SheCodes exceeded my expectations. The easy to understand videos, made the learning process enjoyable, and fun. I'm excited to continue my coding journey and kickstart my career in programming.

SheCodes was a wonderful experience. The videos were very easy to follow and easy to understand. Matt is correct that it is fun to try and figure things out how to make your code unique and fun. I can now look at a piece of code and get a general idea of what it means and how it functions. I still have a lot to learn, but the basics is great and I feel like I learned a lot!
I really enjoyed this course! Matt explained everything very clearly and having access to the videos 24/7 allows you to learn at your own pace, which is very helpful. The challenges were engaging and allowed you to apply and test what was taught in each lesson. I felt this was a very safe space to begin learning to code.

This course was really amazing for beginner like myself especially when its comes to Javascript. I loved this course, I've tried multiple other courses before but they all got me at learning JavaScript. It all seemed too complicated and there were no videos to help. Matt explains everything in a fun way so now I understand what I am doing and what I need to do to fix problems.
It was hard at first to take in so much information at once, I even had to watch more than a few videos multiple times because I didn't understand it the first time around. I feel so proud of myself now that I finished the first course. I'm excited to keep learning more in-depth material!

Before taking this course I was intimidated by coding and believed it was too difficult for me and not something I could easily learn. However, after taking SheCodes Basic I realized that coding is not as scary as I thought and I am capable of learning this new skill. After watching Matthieu's easy-to-digest videos, practicing on my own time, and completing assignments I feel confident about my ability to continue to learn how to code.

I really enjoyed this workshop, it was challenging and difficult at times but I persisted on. It was a challenging journey to learn react and create a weather application. But I'm glad to follow all the videos and able to finish/publish my weather app.
This eye-opening experience allowed me to learn and utilize React while integrating the HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other coding resources and skills I have learned throughout this journey. I particularly like that the SheCodes video classes and resources will be available to me after the course completion for future review.
SheCodes helps me learn how to code even if I'm a total beginner. I really love how Matt explains in each video and makes a challenge in each lesson. I really learned a lot.
The Plus Add-On project was tough, but I am so pleased with the World Clock I managed to produce. I had to watch and re-watch the video tutorials to make sure things were sinking in properly, and check a few errors that I made but it is getting easier (slightly anyway) to spot where I am making mistakes and how to overcome them. Another enjoyable one and I can't wait to start the next Workshop!

Hey I'm Anele Sibiya from South Africa I started sheCode on the 26th of June had no idea what i was getting myself into. My first day was interesting i learned a lot with the small video i had fun. First thing that got me excited was doing the challenges by myself that boosted my confidence. My sister advice to me to download an app called Mimo its helped a lot as well.
I 'm thanks of She Codes for providing me with this educational opportunity. The course was very well designed. We designed a project step by step like a puzzle.but i went through a difficult situation. I can only access She Codes educational videos through strong vpn on my mobile phone. In fact, we need vpn to access She Codes emails and log in to Slack. Sometimes it takes hours that I can watch a video for a few minutes. In the first weeks, my vpn stopped working. It was difficult days because all acsses were closed I was working several shifts. I didn't have much time to devote to educations I was like a bird trapped in a cage, but I kept repeating to myself that there will surely be a way, i 'm sure. Fortunately by accident one of the old vpn on my phone, which had alreadybeen disabled , was able to access Google Play and I was able to access the movies with the new vpn also during the course, my computer broke down twice,also one time I got corona virus that i had to use Request extention , the Request extention in she codes were very good for me. She Codes training courses are designed in such a way that you can pass the course in any situation without worry. Now, despite all the difficulties, I was able to finish the course.
it was a great experience. i have really enjoyed the video training and the challenge at each lesson which really help me to exercise my skills.
I haven't had so much fun studying as much as I have in the past three weeks. Matt's videos are clear, short enough to keep your attention, and keep you going. Completing the SheCodes Plus Add-On course has been an incredibly rewarding experience for me. I have been building upon the strong foundation I gained in the SheCodes Plus program and the hands-on project was, as usual, pretty interesting to do and allowed me to apply what I learned and strengthen my problem-solving skills. The world clock project had me stuck for a little while as I really wanted to do what I had in mind but I got there in the end after multiple hours online going through forums and videos! 👩💻

This workshop was very hard for me to get through at times. With my full-time job, and wrapping up this last semester of college, it was hard to put in the time necessary to finish this workshop. Furthermore, I often had to go back and rewatch videos for topics I had forgotten. But either way, I finished it and I am so proud of myself! Thank you Matt and the SheCodes team!

As a complete beginner, I absolutely enjoyed this workshop, though it had it's trials and errors now and then😅. The short lesson videos were great for me as a beginner, as I did not feel too overwhelmed and enabled me to grasp each lesson quite well. The entire learning experiencing thus far is just awesome!!!
I have learned so much this past week. I couldn't stop which is why I completed weeks 1-3 in just the first week. Matt really breaks everything down in a way that is easy to understand and his videos are a wonderful tool to follow along!
SheCodes was the best coding workshop due to its exceptional clarity and comprehensive video tutorials, making complex concepts easy to understand. I was able to easily make my first webpage because of this workshop! I think that anyone that wants to break into tech should sign up for She Codes.

If you are wondering if you can learn to code around a busy schedule such as juggling a full-time job and attending children's school and sport activities, the answer is YES, you can! Lessons are divided into bite-size pieces. The instructor's micro-learning structure enables students to learn a little at a time and at their own pace. Lessons include tutorial videos and support along the way. When I began my course a couple of weeks ago, I was uncertain if I could really be successful. I am so grateful I stretched my comfort zone and gave it a try! It was so rewarding to see my finished product. The course is really great. Everything is well-structured. The explanations are clear. Videos are not long which allows to get all information without being overwhelmed. And challenges after explanations help to remember info and to practice.

Before taking this course, i had no idea how and what coding was but after the 3weeks course and i can confidently code, not yet to my/the full capacity but its was the right push that i needed to fully get into it. Having completed the SheCodes Basics program, I was initially apprehensive about whether I would be able to keep up with the curriculum as it involved a new programming language (Javascript). However, from day one, Matt's lessons were comprehensive, the community was supportive. As I said in the previous testimonial I gave on completing the Basics, what I appreciated most about the SheCodes was the emphasis on hands-on, project-based learning. Instead of just reading about coding concepts in a textbook or watching lectures, we were actually coding from day one. Not only did this help solidify the concepts we were learning, but it also made the learning process more enjoyable and engaging. It's undeniable that there were hard times but going through the videos and working on the weekly projects helped me get better at it. Overall, I cannot recommend SheCodes enough to anyone interested in pursuing a career in coding. The experience was challenging, rewarding, and ultimately life-changing. Thank you for everything!
What a fun course to complete! Matt's teaching style motivated me to wake up early and get started on the class right away. I love the short videos with the quick challenges to test what you've learned. Your knowledge and confidence keeps building up and before you know it, you've created an elegant webpage to be proud of. Looking forward to my next workshop with Matt!
There were so many things that I wished would have been different, that it would take me a really long time to mention them all. Most importantly: I really thing the videos should be revised. There are things that are outdated (like using clearfix) and no longer in use, tools that now have different versions (like bootstrap and netlify) which makes it harder to follow through the videos. But the lowest point is the lack of proper feedback on homework and (even more shocking for me) the final projects. It's "your solution works" kind of feedback. Personally, as someone who is learning to code, it's not *just* about the code working, I could really use feedback on how I could write it more clearly, etc. Otherwise I could just use an html/css/js validator and get pretty much the same answer. It's really a shame and I hope it changes in the future, because otherwise what's the difference between doing this or a full curse on udemy that costs 15€? One really wonders. Also bear in mind that unless you have nothing else going on in your life, 5 days a week is not enough to complete the week.
I really appreciate with this course which is easy for every newbie to understand the basic coding including me. Due to the short video, it makes the listener feel not bored and try to catch up the contents.
I really enjoy working with CSS and each video lesson was easy to follow. Impressed by how quickly CSS can turn a website from bland to looking professionally done even by someone who is new to coding.
I am truly amazed at how quickly I was able to learn all of these javascript functions. I knew I was really catching on during the final project when I could pause the video, work ahead, and then watch to be sure I had coded that section correctly. I am so grateful that SheCodes is set up in such realistic and manageable sections.
I really enjoyed the coding workshop. The videos were very clear and slack was so useful when I couldn't work out what was wrong in my code. SheCodes Basics is the perfect introduction into coding and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wonders what coding is about.
I've just started learning and I fell in love with the style of teaching that is provided by shecodes. It's easy to follow, I can go back and review as many times as I need without going through hours of video on things I don't need. It's easy to navigate and I'm enjoying learning with it.
React was very complicated and difficult, but by watching the videos step by step helped me to understand and learn how to develop with it.
As a person who has a hard time self-learning, especially with CS, SheCodes's short-video format and simplistic yet detailed-enough explanations really motivated me to start and develop my HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills. I especially love this class format with required challenges and homework to submit as it holds me accountable to learning coding skills associated with those languages very well, something I wouldn't necessarily have without this course.
This course have been challenging, but I'm fully dedicated to see everything through. Every video is tailored to giving you all of the information you need. But, if you seek more guidance, Slack, was always there for me.
Good introduction to basic HTML, CSS and Javascript. Videos and challenges are presented in a user friendly way however I think the support provided is lacking. Feedback on the homework is pre-defined responses with no personalisation. Whilst the Slack is good to seek help or to help other students, when the SheCode's staff get involved, they merely just fix the code for students without helping them understand what was wrong. I understand the principle of people trying to troubleshoot their own code and figure things out but for beginners, I think support to lay the foundations is very important. You could find all the information covered in this course online for free but if you're looking for the structure (which I was) it's a good starting point - albeit expensive for what it is.
My SheCodes experience has been pleasant. I had no prior experience or knowledge about coding until completing this course. From watching the learning videos and completing the challenges I have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge. It never felt like work, which made the challenges that much more interesting. I would definitely recommend!
I have really enjoyed learning something completely new and different from what I am used to. It is a whole lot of small wins for me when I get a piece of code to work by just applying a bit of focus and logical thinking, I celebrate. Matt's videos are easy to follow step by step. I didn't think I would make it this far but I am very happy and grateful that I did and I intend on going all the way to SheCodes Max as I intend on changing my entire career path.

React! React!! React!!! I'm never using regular html and css for front end. React is so challenging and fun. All the videos in this workshop opened my eyes to a new world of front end development and I can't wait to develop my own personal projects with react.
