The course is really great. Everything is well-structured. The explanations are clear. Videos are not long which allows to get all information without being overwhelmed. And challenges after explanations help to remember info and to practice.

This first course was amazing! I tried to learn code on my own through Youtube videos and none of them were as clear as Matt's videos. I am really happy with SheCodes. It has been an exciting experience and each class involves you more and more in this world of coding! π

Before taking this course, i had no idea how and what coding was but after the 3weeks course and i can confidently code, not yet to my/the full capacity but its was the right push that i needed to fully get into it. Having completed the SheCodes Basics program, I was initially apprehensive about whether I would be able to keep up with the curriculum as it involved a new programming language (Javascript). However, from day one, Matt's lessons were comprehensive, the community was supportive. As I said in the previous testimonial I gave on completing the Basics, what I appreciated most about the SheCodes was the emphasis on hands-on, project-based learning. Instead of just reading about coding concepts in a textbook or watching lectures, we were actually coding from day one. Not only did this help solidify the concepts we were learning, but it also made the learning process more enjoyable and engaging. It's undeniable that there were hard times but going through the videos and working on the weekly projects helped me get better at it. Overall, I cannot recommend SheCodes enough to anyone interested in pursuing a career in coding. The experience was challenging, rewarding, and ultimately life-changing. Thank you for everything!

There were so many things that I wished would have been different, that it would take me a really long time to mention them all. Most importantly: I really thing the videos should be revised. There are things that are outdated (like using clearfix) and no longer in use, tools that now have different versions (like bootstrap and netlify) which makes it harder to follow through the videos. But the lowest point is the lack of proper feedback on homework and (even more shocking for me) the final projects. It's "your solution works" kind of feedback. Personally, as someone who is learning to code, it's not *just* about the code working, I could really use feedback on how I could write it more clearly, etc. Otherwise I could just use an html/css/js validator and get pretty much the same answer. It's really a shame and I hope it changes in the future, because otherwise what's the difference between doing this or a full curse on udemy that costs 15β¬? One really wonders. Also bear in mind that unless you have nothing else going on in your life, 5 days a week is not enough to complete the week.
I really appreciate with this course which is easy for every newbie to understand the basic coding including me. Due to the short video, it makes the listener feel not bored and try to catch up the contents.
I really enjoy working with CSS and each video lesson was easy to follow. Impressed by how quickly CSS can turn a website from bland to looking professionally done even by someone who is new to coding.
I am truly amazed at how quickly I was able to learn all of these javascript functions. I knew I was really catching on during the final project when I could pause the video, work ahead, and then watch to be sure I had coded that section correctly. I am so grateful that SheCodes is set up in such realistic and manageable sections.
I really enjoyed the coding workshop. The videos were very clear and slack was so useful when I couldn't work out what was wrong in my code. SheCodes Basics is the perfect introduction into coding and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wonders what coding is about.
I've just started learning and I fell in love with the style of teaching that is provided by shecodes. It's easy to follow, I can go back and review as many times as I need without going through hours of video on things I don't need. It's easy to navigate and I'm enjoying learning with it.
React was very complicated and difficult, but by watching the videos step by step helped me to understand and learn how to develop with it.
As a person who has a hard time self-learning, especially with CS, SheCodes's short-video format and simplistic yet detailed-enough explanations really motivated me to start and develop my HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills. I especially love this class format with required challenges and homework to submit as it holds me accountable to learning coding skills associated with those languages very well, something I wouldn't necessarily have without this course.
This course have been challenging, but I'm fully dedicated to see everything through. Every video is tailored to giving you all of the information you need. But, if you seek more guidance, Slack, was always there for me.
Good introduction to basic HTML, CSS and Javascript. Videos and challenges are presented in a user friendly way however I think the support provided is lacking. Feedback on the homework is pre-defined responses with no personalisation. Whilst the Slack is good to seek help or to help other students, when the SheCode's staff get involved, they merely just fix the code for students without helping them understand what was wrong. I understand the principle of people trying to troubleshoot their own code and figure things out but for beginners, I think support to lay the foundations is very important. You could find all the information covered in this course online for free but if you're looking for the structure (which I was) it's a good starting point - albeit expensive for what it is.
My SheCodes experience has been pleasant. I had no prior experience or knowledge about coding until completing this course. From watching the learning videos and completing the challenges I have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge. It never felt like work, which made the challenges that much more interesting. I would definitely recommend!
I have really enjoyed learning something completely new and different from what I am used to. It is a whole lot of small wins for me when I get a piece of code to work by just applying a bit of focus and logical thinking, I celebrate. Matt's videos are easy to follow step by step. I didn't think I would make it this far but I am very happy and grateful that I did and I intend on going all the way to SheCodes Max as I intend on changing my entire career path.

Learning react is very crucial for anyone who wants to work as a front end developer and Shecode's react course is great for learning it. It was a bit challenging but I could get answer to all my problems by watching videos and doing homework again. I enjoyed this course a lot like other Shecodes' courses and I am very thankful to our great instructor Dear Matt.

Comfortable platform, clear short lessons. I like the way the course is divided into meaning blocks and the lessons are recorded in advance. At the end of each lesson there is a challenge to check the student's understanding of the material. In my opinion, pre-recording is a very handy thing, because you can stop the video at any moment and repeat the unclear material. Join SheCodes!

I decided to take on this course and it's been great. I used to do programming at my old job, however since I stopped being a software engineer. I noticed I started to slowly forget what I learnt. I took on this course to jog my memory and it helped a lot! I didn't notice how much I missed coding until I did this course. The teaching was fantastic from Matt, the videos along with the tasks to do were so fun. The SheCodes team was amazing and they made sure to answer any questions we had.
Time went so quickly whilst doing this course which can only mean one thing.....I LOVED IT!!!! I have always been curious as to how websites are made so when I saw this course I jumped at the chance to do it. Matt does a wonderful job at explaining everything with easy to follow videos and smart little challenges at the end of each section. My advice to everyone is to take lots and lots of notes! Overall a very informative, enjoyable course to do, very happy indeed.
