I recently completed SheCodes Responsive and I really enjoyed learning through the tutorial videos and hands-on practice exercises. The course helped me understand the concepts and techniques behind responsive web design. I created my online portfolio to showcase some of my projects. Overall, I highly recommend this workshop to anyone who wants to improve their web design skills

It was a great course to start coding and gain more profound insight. I loved all the videos that explained in detail each step and all the exercises. Plus, I had a lot of fun doing the weather app. Would recommend it to anyone!

This add-on really solidified my current coding knowledge and was definitely trickier with embedding images on to a website. The videos that Matt created made things a lot clearer and really helped when putting the final project together. Looking forward to the next course!

Challenging but very rewarding course. Loved the fact that content was delivered using very clear videos and most activities had an accompanying challenge task to practice what you just learnt and check understanding. Would recommend SheCodes basics to any woman that wants to check out what coding is about.

Easy to follow video.

Matt is a great, very detailed but easy to understand teacher and the video aulas are well made and has a good passing. The challenges also makes us stop and thinking a little bit extra out of what you just learned exactly to help you and make you have the curiosity to get deeper and deeper inside the coding world. Looking forward to keep progressing in the next courses!

Shecodes Plus is a very in depth course, the video are very helpful and easy to understand. There is loads of support and the deadlines keep you on track.

Once again, Matt and his team blew it out of the water with this course. I love being able to control the speed of my learning - some weeks I know based on previous courses I have taken, but don't skip! Matt includes so many little tips and tricks in each of his tutorials, even if you think you know the subject matter, you are guaranteed to learn something in each video.

Great clear videos, any issues I came across were easily solved via quick google search or Slack.

I am so glad that I did SheCodes Plus, which was quite challenging, but I really enjoyed learning how to work with real data. Seeing my weather app come to life was such an amazing feeling. I never thought I could achieve something like this, but with the bite-sized topic videos by Matt and with the help of SheCodes members, it was made possible. I am excited and motivated even more to see what the next workshops hold.

Hi ! I have dyslexia and I found the video tutorials and the way they delivered the information was very easy to understand and I was able to understand the concepts. Would recommend if you're curious about learning how to code :)

This has been an amazing 3 weeks. As a non-technical person, I didn't think I would be able to grasp the content this quickly. The instructor is very good at explaining and I'm happy that I could revisit the videos when I got stuck or needed reminding. Great course.

I have been interested in IT and coding for over 10 years, but I didn't dare to try myself in this field because of the conviction that it is only for genius mathematicians. After watching SheCodes intro video, I understood which IT branch is most suitable for me, combining coding, design, and UX, which was always keen about. So I decided to make an effort and start coding. And it was my best decision ever!

Well guided workshop with easy to understand videos and practical exercises, very useful to internalize each lesson.

The learning base provided by this course fully covers the basics and provides an understanding of how React works. Thanks to the detailed video lessons, I understood everything and implemented it into the project. Consolidated the skills of working with Api and Bootstrap and have mastered React.

The SheCodes videos are extremely detailed and break things down in an understandable way. It's very helpful to have Slack as a backup when help is needed.

After doing the SheCodes basic workshop I was excited to continue to learn more. Thinking of building an app can be overwhelming, however, SheCodes Plus breaks that process into several steps which makes it so easy and fun. Everything is extremely well explained in the videos, and the challenges not only allow you to practice coding, but they help you understand the content better. Further, if you get stuck on something, the SheCodes team will help you. Additionally, there is also an AI coding assistant available, which can answer your doubts, explain code, fix your code and so much more. I have tried it, and it was easy and useful to use. I highly recommend this workshop and I cannot wait for more!!

This was a really fun add-on! finessing layouts and learning ways to embed maps, images and videos is a great next step!

I really liked it! The videos are easy to listen to and follow. It's all step by step and organized really well, so it takes all the guess work out of it. Monkey see, monkey do! For me, that's exactly what I needed. I can't wait to see what's next 🙂

This is the hardest step so far! I made an effort to comprehend it and keep watching the videos, so I could follow along. I have to take a step back and not complete every requirement for the final tasks. From messing up my repository to understanding the value of grouping the div and span and naming those classes and id, I learned a lot from my mistakes. I appreciate the support staff's tolerance with my inquiries. Thank you so much!

I loved the SheCodes basic course. It was a really fun learning experience. The video tutorials were very concise and easy to follow.

React is definitely a challenge, but the videos are easy to follow and it is exciting when the pieces of the puzzle start to fit

I have always had the notion that coding is extremely difficult and I may not be able to understand how to go about it. However, learning with SheCodes so far has been an amazing experience. Can sometimes be a little tricky, but just remember you have other resources at your fingertips. Don't rely on the videos 100%.

This program is awesome! Although I have to learn from video, I feel that I am learning with Matt personally. Even in the basic, I think I could learn too much. I found the course very interesting and a bit challenging but with the help of the videos and Athena AI i managed to do the challenges and project swiftly.

A very interesting course, and even though it was very challenging at times, the videos helped me a lot! It was fun working on the final project little by little, although I found that during the final 2 weeks, we covered the same things as during the first 6 weeks. I'm very excited for the Plus Add-on course!

After a few mental breakdown and a lot of watching videos, lectures and readings, I finally finished SheCodes React workshop. I have learnt about React alot and it was super fun and interesting. I made a weather app which has light and dark mode. Although I left out the forecast for now, I will definitely add it later.

Very easy-to-learn workshop. In my opinion it was very efficient that there was a video, after that you have to try yourself and after that you could immediately see the solution. It was easy to start learn and do exercises, because I knew that I can do a couple themes in a day, but if I was busy I hadn't to spend so much time learning. It was motivating and rewarding, even addicting that I could do small steps every day and really learn something new.

I tried to learn coding by myself on youtube but since i discovered SheCodes on TikTok my view on coding has changed. Following the SheCodes video step by step made me understand more clearly. LOVE IT <3

Matt takes the time to show you step by step how to build your project. He also takes the time to explain why things work the way they do. He corrects his own project from video to video when he finds a better solution or understands a mistake he did. It is a very human and interactive way to teach. The challenges can be very frustrating and test your patience but once you find a solution and your project work it is very exciting and gives a Christmas-like feeling🥳 ! Really enjoyed the whole workshop.

I love the way the course was built. Not only you get code snippets and demos, there are also videos with Matt explaining on every topic. The course is really engaging, you get a lot of practise due to the homeworks. By the way, SheCodes is the only platform I saw that actually has people to review your homework and help with any questions in Slack. Such a great educational source and helpful community!

SheCodes has given me a wonderful experience thus far, this is definitely the best educational video content i have come in contact with, the Tutor "Matt" makes this coding journey seamless, i'm usually enthausiastic while on my tutorials. This has made my passion for coding even deeper .

I always wanted to start coding but I was frightened and SheCodes was the platform that helped me to overcome it. I'm the happiest when I watch its videos.

I really enjoyed this workshop, would definitely recommend for beginners. Videos were very clear and informative!

I did always run away from JS. but this time I think I learn how to use it. of course, there are tons of video out there that talks about JS but it always generalizes the whole concept and not the specific step for someone who just wants to become a front-end developer. and seeing all those codes and not knowing actually where to use them was scary. but, Matt points out what was important at each step and made it easier to understand the whole process. thank you so much.

I really enjoyed learning in SheCodes. Everything is very accessible. I have an elementary level of English, but thanks to Matt and the video lesson, I was able to understand everything.

This responsive course is an eye-opening course! It has leveraged my website-building technique and consolidated my knowledge in Frontend and bootstrap. I love the pace of each teaching video, suitable for any type of learner. Small progress each time could definitely motivate me to work on my project step by step and make the whole learning in responsive much easier!

It was a great experience and i really enjoyed it. Every video is clear to understand and full of useful information. Challenges was not easy but interesting. I'll continue my studying with great pleasure.

The course was to a certain extent useful and I learned something new. A lot of technologies were covered, videos were short but informative that allowed me not to lose concentration. Also I liked the idea with the cheat sheets available on the web site. At the same time, I’d like to mention the following drawbacks: - there is a gap between the course program and the course content itself, which led me to hope for more than was actually given. For instance, ‘SheCodes Plus’ program mentions ‘Advanced Javascript’, while in practice we only scratched the surface. - I had a feeling that some information was repeated again and again instead of new topics being covered. - homework feedback provided was hardly useful: “Your solution is valid! Good job” is not an informative one. I would rather want to hear more on practices I used and my code style. - given all of the above, I believe the course is a bit overpriced

A great additional option to master your basic coding skills and complete another project. Ready for new coding challenges and looking forward for Matt's videos.

This workshop was more challenging than the previous one however when I reflect on the journey, I realised that I learnt so much. Building a weather app is not easy therefore I appreciate the amount of guidance each video provided to help with my understanding. This makes me proud of my progress and the fact that I was able to build a weather app (using real data) from scratch!

There are issues with SheCodes BASICS: If you watch the provided videos, study the attached materials/links and possibly make some notes to ensure you've truly understood the concepts before tackling the challenges, you need half an hour per lesson. There are twenty lessons in the first week alone; therefore the estimated study time is WAY off. Also, towards the end of Week 1, the lessons become notably lazy and a lot of relevant information is simply dumped below the videos. The challenge in Week 2, lesson 3 is extremely poorly explained (it gets better again after that). On the bright side: The course does introduce you to Slack and VS Code (real developer tools). Conclusion: If you're completely unfamiliar with HTML & CSS, want to get your feet wet but don't know where to start, you might as well spend 100 bucks on SheCodes BASICS. However, as of February 27, 2023, the SheCodes Terms of Use state: "It is not possible to get a refund for a course even if you contact us before the course has started." How very empowering. Mind you, we're talking about a more or less fully automated setup. Based on such a refund policy alone, I cannot recommend that you spend your money on the other (significantly more expensive) workshops. Go check out Dr. Angela Yu or Colt Steele instead.

As someone who was never interested in the field of computer science, it was only by chance that I stumbled upon the world of coding through SheCodes. However, since the first video I saw on TikTok video on how it changed another young woman's life and completed my first workshop, my life has been transformed. After completing this programme, I am able to create and solve ideas that I used to believe were complex with ease.I believe this workshop is the first of many that will land me a solid career in tech.

I struggled to understand some of the steps as when Matt was coding, the screen was jumping and I wasn't sure exactly what the changes were. I had to rewind the videos a lot to be on the same page.

The workshops are very practical and applicable. Short videos help me feel motivated and energetic, and provide me with a good opportunity to identify areas for which I need more practice. I enjoyed the weekly projects a lot and found the final project fun and exciting. The teaching materials were challenging just about the right amount for me: not too difficult to the point of being frustrating, and not too easy to lose motivation. Overall, the experience has been excellent so far.

I had fun creating my responsive portfolio. The videos were easy to follow and I'd recommend them to anyone who wants to learn how to code!

Great workshop for beginners! Explanation is clear, information is very well structured, all videos are short and informative.

During this workshop, I acquired some advanced pure CSS skills to make my website responsive and user-friendly on all devices - mobiles, tablets, desktops etc. I included google maps, Spotify playlist, Youtube videos inside responsive grids, so that not only they provide adequate and convenient information for users, they also look and feel natural as built-ins inside the website.

I think one of the most practical parts of the SheCodes courses is that you can go back and rewatch the previous videos as a great review, and to make sure your physical and or digital notes are fully fleshed out. I have other friends who did live classes online to learn coding, but the digital format with the slack help works better for my learning style.

I recently attended SheCodes Basic Workshop, and I have to say it was a great experience. The e-learning videos are very detailed and made the concepts easy to understand, even for someone with no prior coding experience like myself. The workshop was well-organized and covered a wide range of topics. One thing I particularly appreciated about the workshop was the hands-on approach. We were given ample time to practice what we learned, and feedback was provided. By the end of the workshop, I felt confident in my ability to write basic code and solve simple programming problems. Overall, I would highly recommend this basic coding workshop to anyone interested in learning how to code. It's an excellent starting point for beginners, and the skills you'll learn will be valuable in any field that requires computer literacy.

It was very informative. I liked that, apart from the video, the essential information was also spelled out.

I would recommend this course to anyone interested in starting their Web development journey! Matt explains the topic very clearly and you can always come back to any part of the video if you miss or forget something from previous lessons. It will be a lot of frustration when something doesn't work yout the way you wanted to, but a lot of joy as well once your code works. I'm looking forward to the next courses and even though I know it's not gonna be easy, I know, Matt will be able to explain it in a way that we all understand it. Happy coding!!

I signed up to SheCodes with zero coding knowledge and now I enjoy coding so much! The lessons were detailed and structured, I am sure you won't get lost in it, and I could replay the instruction videos at anytime. The challenges and homeworks are also helpful, they are a tool to get a better understanding of the materials. A tip: don't skip watching the instruction videos, and look on the bottom page of each lessons - some great and valuable tips are often there.

I had such a great time with SheCodes Basics! I am a complete beginner to coding but I felt the videos easy to follow and the challenges were just the right amount of difficulty to challenge me, but not make it feel impossible. I certainly got stuck a time or two, but after going back and reviewing old videos or checking out Slack, I was able to sort out my mistakes. I can't wait to do another workshop!

I would highly recommend SheCodes to anybody who would like to learn how to code, especially if you don't have any previous experience(s) with coding! I studied something completely different in Uni, but wanted to be able to transfer the passion that I have for creativity in my free time (in the future) into my 9-5 as well. I also wanted something that would continue to challenge my brain on a daily basis. After some internet searches I came across SheCodes and decided to take the free intro-to-coding class from Matt. I was hesitant at first since I had no prior experience to coding, but as soon as Matt said that you don't need prior experience and that anyone can learn how to code, I decided that it was worth giving it a try. It did not disappoint! I'm so happy that I followed the Basics course; I learned so much in 3 weeks and Matt's explanation videos were pretty easy to follow and also very helpful. At times it can get a bit frustrating when there are mistakes in your code that you're struggling to find and correct, but fear not! By retracing your steps or asking for help on Slack you will eventually figure it out and it will all be worth it! I'm exited to continue learning and can't wait to sign up for SheCodes Plus. 10/10

Passed the next stage of training in SheCodes. Needless to say, it was not very easy. It was a real challenge for me. In addition to learning to code, I improve my level of English). It's good that Matt did not cut out his mistakes in the training video, but left options for correcting them in the video lessons. It added life into the video, made learning easier. It's great that there is freedom of choice, creativity, there are no certain limits. Thanks again for the opportunity to learn!
