Having very little experience with coding before taking this course, I was a little apprehensive about taking it. There was no need to be apprehensive as Matt did a great job in the videos of explaining how everything works! And I had fun learning and making the final project.

SheCodes Basic is the best workshops to learn coding as a beginner! The videos are very easy to understand. also homework is simple if you watch the related video.

Very challenging, but it was also quite fun! Seriously, I feel quite lost in the middle of the course because the javascript code was quite hard to understand 😂 But the slack, github documentation and the course video were my hero. It was really helping me to understand the code bit by bit. If I don't understand the code yet, I just need to replay the video or read the code documentation. And so glad 🤗 that SheCodes have extension feature. I got quite sick for almost two weeks and need to be hospitalised because my condition didn't not get any better at home. I was still learning in week 4 at that time and need to request an extension for my homework. So I can focus at my recuperation, the extension feature was really a big help.

This is one of the best decision I ever made. I was already studying coding for a bit, and gets so frustrated with how unnecessarily complicated it is. Matt, makes the learning so much fun and easy. He is really a gifted teacher. What i struggle to understand sifting through blogs and youtube videos, Matt clear it up in less than 10min. His passion and excitement is very contagious. I really enjoyed my learning experience, and looking forward for the next workshop. 😇

It was an amazing experience! Each new video lesson added new opportunities for solving the task. I really liked the result of my work - a working Weather application, and so nice!

SheCodes makes learning how to code easy! The "Learn" videos teaches how to change an item on a page, before you are encouraged to apply what you've learnt within mini "Challenges". It is perfect for ultimate beginners or someone with previous experience of coding; more importantly: it is fun!! SheCodes is also a community waiting to support one another; this truly makes a difference! I wished I learnt how to code this way a long time ago!

Had an amazing time learning how to code! The videos were easy to follow along with and a great resource so you can go back to listen to parts when completing the challenges.

After years of considering a career shift - I'm working in the art field and had started some short programming courses here and there - I finally found in SheCodes a platform that works very well for me. The short learning videos, combined with tasks, deadlines, and a structured program really keep me working. The course is challenging, interesting, and fun and gives a great perspective for a career switch.

This is the second workshop I have done and it is going well. Even with work and university this is manageable, and even if not, the extensions really help when having a stressful week. The videos are easy to understand and helpful.

I have been so happy through my journey because the videos are super clear, the projects are interesting and engaging, is easy to make questions through Slack and at the end of each workshop i gain more confidence on my coding skills! :) Im very happy and i feel ready to start to apply for a new job as frontend developer. Very good and creative. Loved the videos and the challenges. It was frustrating and tiring at times, coding is not easy but I am happy I learn something new, and maybe I can put it to use in the future. Overall, I particularly enjoyed the number of resources and pages available to us and the many opportunities to actually submit our projects. Assistance was also always there when I needed it. Thanks to the team for the experience.

I was watching youtube videos about whether programming is for me. I really liked it, so I decided to take it, and I looked for a course where I would be helped along the way in an understandable way, with constant attention. I looked at several free introductory courses before I decided, and there were some that almost put me off learning... But I found SheCodes, and I could not be happier. I think I have never enjoyed learning so much in my life, I'm always excited to sit in front of my computer. Thank you!💜💜💜

This has been a fantastic experience. The Basic course covered so much in 3 weeks that I now feel more confident with HTML, CSS and Javascript. Throughout the course, the lessons, challenges, and solution videos were structured in a supportive and detailed way. The way SheCodes sets up each week makes it easy to fit around life and full-time work. The next course looks amazing and I can't wait to get started.

I knew nothing about coding, and upon starting SheCodes, I've learned a ton. I feel so comfortable with code. I'm able to problem solve my code fairly quickly thanks to the many informative videos.

I loved taking the SheCodes Basic Course. It is easy for one to follow with the videos that are available as well as the challenges and homework we had to do. You get to do it in your own pace and it ignited this new found passion I have for coding. I cannot wait to move on to the next workshop.

Hi. First of all, Shecodes did a great favor and and a nice move fir iranian women, letting them have the basics course for free. It was so heartwarming and made me realize I had a passion for coding. Matt, as the instructor, explains everything so simplely and easy to understand. The best part is that the videos are short and you can watch them a million times! Coding is not those weird symbols that you see when you get an error! It's so much fun. I loved every second of it. The SheCodes Basic program was an amazing dive into the world of coding! The video lessons were positive and encouraging, making it easy to get excited for each step of the process. The homework was fun and intuitive to follow; I love that we were thrown into JavaScript right away! I can't wait to learn more & continue with the next workshops 💜

So glad I took the Plus workshop. Learning about APIs and how to use pure Javascript to make a search engine were really valuable skills. I feel like I understood about 90% of the material and needed to re-watch a few of the videos a few times to really understand, but they were still easy to follow and I learned much more by the final lesson that I knew while I was struggling in the middle.

I did it🎉😍 The learning process did not always went smoothly, but the great platform you guys offer and created for learning made the whole experience simpler and pleasant. The lessons are well organized, the videos are clear and the small and large challenges contributed for a deeper understanding. The feedback that i got along the way on homework and knowing that there was always someone in the background who was there if I ever needed any help made the whole experience of studying super pleasant😊thanks!

SheCodes Basics was a great workshop for beginners like me. The short-form videos and step-by-step instructions are digestible and easy to understand. Usually, I struggle with concentrating so this visual format was ideal for my style of learning. Each week's workshops are very clearly organized, which made finding solutions to my problems easy to figure out on my own. And the challenges and homework are very comprehensive. I hope to enroll in more advanced workshops in the future.

These five weeks have been super interesting and educational. With the help of video lessons, I worked not only on the project but also on myself. I highly recommend this course.

Super fun and challenging! Spent many hours coding and learning how to build responsive sites. All the videos and challenges gave me the tools to create my first fully responsive portfolio. I'm pretty happy with how my final project ended up looking!

Great way to get into coding, videos are super clear and easy to follow.

I really struggled with React. I found it incredibly challenging and really relied on reviewing all the videos multiple times, using the source code, lots of googling, reading others questions in the slack channels. But that being said, the material was presented in great details so I was able to learn all the items but also teach myself how to make send of things. I think I am just going to need a lot of practice working with many, many components. I was very impressed with the layout of the courses and how he was able to "translate". As I have said all along, I highly recommend SheCodes!!

I was looking for an instructional video on YouTube when I came across the SheCodes website. Since I have always been interested in tech, I participated in the free workshop, and my opinion about coding changed. It was a fun and easily understandable course.

SheCodes is by far one of the best coding workshop sites, I’ve gone through the SheCodes Basics course. At first, I wasn’t sure that an online course would help me to learn basics of html and css and javascript, but Matt Delac really knows his stuff! The video tutorials and challenges were instrumental in making sure I stayed the course and achieved my goals. The SheCodes team seems to work day and night to get every detail right.

This workshop made making a website from scratch so approachable and smooth. Having taken the previous workshops recently also really helped me in this one. SheCodes Basics was a great intro to coding. I really enjoyed the videos and clear instructions Matt provided throughout the course. I have decided to continue working on my coding skills and hope to transition into a developer career.

I came into the workshop with little knowledge and coding. The format was great for quick videos and practice challenges. I really enjoyed the final project!

I enjoyed learning about how to make websites more responsive. I also found this section to be a nice refresher of CSS and HTML, diving deeper into those after an intensive Javascript course was helpful for me as it is the foundation for all websites. I did find the work on this particular section to be a bit repetitive, as we coded the same site twice. I chose a different final project to try something new. However, I appreciated that for this final project we were allowed to choose from 3 different designs. I chose one of the designs that we had not previously done. I'm glad that there were options and that I was able to code my project without video tutorials as the tutorials were following a different design.

I have always been intimidated by all the different coding languages and formats, despite my interest in coding. SheCodes has been an excellent resource for a beginner like me. The videos are easy to follow and short, which means it is not tedious at all! This workshop has been an interesting experience and I am amazed at how much I can do after only the basics workshop.

I really enjoyed this little bootcamp! It's a deepdive into web development and really lets you get a feel for the day-to-day of an engineer. I enjoyed watching the videos, found the challenges engaging and had lots of fun completing the final coursework!

I remember when I was terrified when watching coding videos on Youtube and wondering if that was what I wanted to work with. I'm starting from zero and now I can say I enjoy coding and I can't wait for the next steps. Matt has a wonderful way to explain the details and makes coding really enjoyable.

I appreciate the Basic course for giving me the introduction to coding and a new career path. The workshops are fun to follow and easy to understand with Matt´ s progress. I like that we have to be practical with challenges after every video and that we get the solution afterwards to make sure we can correct any mistakes. This intro workshop was challenging and fun! The over-the-shoulder format of the lesson videos is super helpful, and the homework and final project really help to solidify everything I've learned so far.

I really enjoyed this course. I have a hard time focusing on videos sometimes, but I love that they are very well divided and digestible, so it doesn't feel like too much information. Coding itself is so fun and I appreciate that SheCodes creates such a comprehensive guide to it.

The SheCodes Basic workshop is a great introduction to coding. I began the workshop with no background in HTML, CSS, or JavaScript, yet after only a few lessons was able to code a basic webpage. The videos and challenges are structured well, and the pace allows enough time to learn and review as needed.

I wasn't sure if coding is something I could figure out but after the online workshop I was very curious. I decided to apply for the SheCodes Basics workshop to see if I could do it. The videos are very clear and I liked the challanges because I could try it myself. I've now completed the Basics workshop and I hope to join the other workshops soon!

This was a great add-on project to flex all the things I've learnt and to create something a little more advanced. It was perfectly paced and I enjoyed the videos and my final project. I like how I had to lean on some of my previously learned knowledge too.

There was so much information yet it was presented in such an easy, yet thought-provoking way. I never thought I can understand the language of HTML, CSS and JAVASCRIPT. It is amazing to be able to understand the concept of basic coding and being able to work on very cool mini projects that allows you to be hands on, able to make mistakes and learn from them but above all to have a teacher that created these videos. I am thankful I ran into this website and though you may not be into software programming, I think its great to simply try it out and understand what we use on a daily basis and appreciate all the work that goes into it. I had a lot of fun and considering to learn more. I am in my mid 30's and I am proud of myself. I did not think I can learn something new and it shows me that I am able to do more then I thought and building my own confidence.

So far, I've been having a great experience with SheCodes. Matt explains things very clearly, and the videos are pretty easy to follow. I personally take a little longer to understand things; so I make sure to watch each video twice and write notes when he drops nuggets. I'm having a lot of fun; and though some techniques can be tricky, it's a very accomplishing feeling once you get the hang of it!

This introductory workshop really helps understand the basis of html, css and javascript. You learn at your own pace (love that you can speed up training video and pause when needed). I felt engaged owing to the online slack support as well as challenges and homeworks. Also, challenges and homework are great, practice is key in coding to understand how all these languages work together and is needed to actually retain the info (at least for me^^) I loved the format, not too easy not too hard, just challenging enough to want to dig into it more :)!

Experience was awesome. Really enjoyed everything from the flow of the work. The tutorial videos were very clear and concise, and the projects were fun. I feel much more confident and excited for my journey with coding. Thank you!

The beginners coding workshop was perfect for someone like me, looking to see if coding was something they were interested in pursuing. With no experience in coding at all, the combination of bite-size videos and weekly assignments made it really fun to learn. I've really enjoyed the workshop and I've learned so much in such a short amount of time, thanks to Matt & to the SheCoding team!

I had lots of fun in all of Matt explanation videos, I felt this was a good experience in my software engineer journey. Highly recommended!

This course is great. You are provided with all the necessary tools and knowledge to successfully complete all tasks. The video explains all the material very clearly and simply. If you get stuck, you can always ask for help in the chat. I liked the final project the most because it is an opportunity to once again put into practice all the skills acquired during the course and create your own web page.

This is a really good course for an introduction to HTML, CSS and Javascript. The videos are very easy to follow along with enough time to complete all lessons and projects. At first, it was a bit tricky considering a semicolon was the difference between completion and some 30 minutes spent in complete confusion but once I recognized those small peculiarities and learned from them, the final project was very manageable and everything fell into place very smoothly.

I absolutely loved every second of this course! Even though it got a little bit stressful at times, I was able to re-watch the lesson videos, practice and make my code perfect. I couldn't recommend this course to every woman more!

React has been really interesting to dive in, and we can also take the chance to improve the weather app we did from the Plus workshop! Always a pleasure to be learning from Matt and seeing how he is also learning together with us during the videos, and debugging issues we encounter at the same time. I learned a lot from all these workshops and really looking forward to see what I can do with my skills. I also appreciate the SheCodes team checking and following up with us on Slack to see how we are progressing at times as well. It is a great experience from the beginning to the end, and I will highly recommend people who are keen to jump into coding, this is one of the best places to start!

This workshop has been fascinating, challenging and inspiring. The video-lessons were perfect to study the program in the best fit way under self commitments. Perfect chance to learn something new, in a really easy way.

I am a stay at home mom (working part time in a shop) and this was my first experience with coding. I absolutely loved doing it, especially with Matt and his way of teaching it. By giving me the time to understand (often going back to listen and watch the video again) I could apply what he just explained. I feel very achieved in going from 0 to the simple webpage I created, handing me the confidence to learn something new! Thank you :)

I benefited greatly of the format SheCodes uses to teach its students coding. I liked that the videos were short and clear, so I didn't ever feel overwhelmed or bombarded with too much information to absorb. I also liked having a structured curriculum and reminders to submit or complete assignments.

I really enjoy the easy or organized explanation. I liked that videos were short and clear, so I didn't have time to get distracted or bored. One of my favorite parts were the way challenges complement each other. I liked to see my progress throughout the week.

Overall a very pleasant experience :) though expectations need to be managed - one will merely understand the code rather than be able to write it from scratch (without looking into notes). It's a fast course. Nice structuring, short-ish videos, plenty interactive, easily "digestible" :)

The videos are easy to digest and the content is explained very well. It's like having a 1 on 1 learning experience, but with classmates and tutors available when you need some extra help.

This project was such an enjoyable add on to the weather app. I got to practice the things I learned when making my weather app and it made me very happy to realize that I have come such a long way. Thank you for the videos and for this interesting prompt!

Everything is explained in very clear and systematic way. I am very satisfied. It has been quite intense with lot of new things to learn. I got general idea, and understand how code has been built when I watched the video, but I am not sure would I be able to do it by myself from beginning. It would take lot of practicing. In this step I have realized this is just beginning of learning coding.

If you're thinking of signing up, just do it. It's by far the most affordable option I've found online and I don't regret signing up.
