Honestly, I'm surprised I got through this AND actually enjoyed it. When I first started the SheCodes plus course, Javascript actually looked terrifying.But thanks to carefully laid out videos and the help of Google,I managed to gain an understanding and appreciation of Javascript. Creating a weather app was really fun, It definitely had its moments of frustration but getting something to work after a lot of trail and error made it all worth it.
I loved every second of this course! Matt's explanations and videos are super fun and easy to understand. And SheCodes team is always very supportive, so every time I got stuck I was able to find the answers on Slack app. The tasks and projects can be challenging but learning how to do them and acquiring new skills is an absolute joy. I recommend this course to anyone who is interested in coding!

This has been a very challenging project. This is a great introduction to the world of coding, I had to get used to the disappointment of the code I wrote not always working and to asking for help. I wouldn't say that if I had to do it all over again I would be able to, without the help of tech support and Matt's videos. At the same time I have definitely learned a lot about APIs, Github, Sandbox, and everything else introduced in this workshop.
This program was very helpful in introducing me to coding. It had a steady pace and easily digestible videos that gave me clear understanding of the types of concepts I needed to learn. Would definitely recommend to those who have no coding experience and are willing to put in the energy and time to learn the coding basics!

Like my boy in that one vine once said - "That was legitness". This is my third workshop from SheCodes and once again my guy Matt killed it with the video lessons. My ADHD brain has no problem following each video because Matt is great at explaining concepts clearly. I appreciate the structure of the workshops. I'm able to balance working full time and completing homework each week without feeling overwhelmed. Bibleβπ½.
Loved SheCodes! It was a perfect intro for a busy mom because the videos were short - sweet - to the point and then they were followed with a challenge to use the topic just learned. It was so helpful to immediately apply the lessons as it demanded focus and didn't allow multi-tasking. Which most of us are guilty of!
This basic course is insightful and offers taste of what programming is. It is fairly easy to learn through the videos recorded by Matt. I think that the course is well structured and leaves room to do research on your own.
The Responsive course was quite challenging as we got more into depth of web-development. However, the videos and slack channel helped me overcome my problems!

This workshop has been greatly beneficial. I've learned so much in such little time and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn how to code. Yes you might be able to look up free videos online but having this workshop motivates you to want to get it done. It is structured to teach you in the clearest way possible so you learn everything in a specific order to not get lost. If someone out there is looking for a structured workshop to learn coding, this is a great start!

Video tutorials to the homework is the most useful thing - once you are stuck, there is always a video that explains the issue.
I knew nothing about coding before the course. Now after finishing the course I have a basic understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript. I've had a lot fun during these three weeks. Having small challenges and weekly homework keeps you engaged throughout the weeks. The community and the support have been great and of course Matt's videos have been easy to follow along.
I've followed the SheCodes Basic workshop. I always thought I wouldn't be able to get the hang of anything related to IT or coding. SheCodes sure proved me wrong. It was so easy since everything is explained step by step in a very clearly instruction video by Matt himself. I can't wait to learn more about the world of coding.
SheCodes Plus was such a challenge for me, but I learned so much! I now have the skills to build an entire application, which is incredible. By carefully watching each video, and at the same time improving on your own, you will definitely master this course.

I was very discouraged starting out but the videos are very thorough and broken down in the perfect amount of time to take in what you are learning. The team on slack is great and are so helpful!
This is a great workshop, and the best thing is that, this is a workshop and you have to do all the stuff yourself, so it wouldn't be like a online course in which you only have to watch videos. Here with having deadlines and fun challenges, not only I learnt a lot, but also it really helped me building confidence in what I can do and what I know.

Matt Delac is the best, i can say have had issues writing javascript for a longtime even with youtube videos. But no one has been able to do justice to it like matt did. Am super excited i now understand the basics of javascript. Looking forward to learning more in the Shecodes plus
I am so glad I decided to take this online course. I was surprised by how much the Basics program taught me. I can finally say that I built a website! My website could have been more technical, though I require more knowledge. Learning about coding is interesting to me. Knowing this, I do wish to pursue coding as a career! This program is an insight into front-end development. Thankfully, Matt provides step-by-step videos for each lesson. If you get confused with assignments, there is a group chat (Slack) with students and team members who can aid you. I advise anyone interested in coding to at least try the Basics program to get their feet wet.

However, after watching a video about a free coding workshop, I figured I could give it a try. Matt was a great instructor and broke down the content into digestible pieces of information. I am so excited to see where my coding journey will take me. I want to continue on the path to learning and having fun with code!
I'm so glad I took a leap of faith and registered for all SheCodes workshops. After taking my first Java course over 20 years ago and barely passing the class, I never thought I would consider taking any coding class again. With SheCodes, each online workshop video is short and easy to follow and the information is easier to understand. I wish I knew about SheCodes earlier as I would have started much sooner. I'm mature enough now to remain focused on completing all the workshops even when it's difficult. At the end of SheCodes Basics, it placed a spark in me to complete the remaining 3 courses so I can change careers and reenter the Tech field and focus on becoming a Front End, Back End and/or Full Stack Engineer.
I applied with no knowledge on coding at all, but SheCodes made it possible for me to understand concepts so easily! I love how easy the video lessons are to understand. Even if I struggle I can always access the Slack channel and get help from peers. Challenges are also included which help as brain teasers.
These were very interesting lessons, the videos are well organized and clear. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this project. π
As always, this workshop has been very informative and it will be really helpful for anyone starting out learning how to code. Everything is explained in a way that is easily understandable and doesn't feel too overwhelming. I didn't have time to complete both projects but I can always go back to the videos and work through them to improve my portfolio later on. This workshop is great because you can do it at your own pace but there are still deadlines to keep you on track. Thanks Matt!

I have taken the basic cycle that gives an introduction on how to write HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I liked the videos, I found them all very didactic and I feel I got a lot out of it.
SheCodes React gives you the necessary confidence you need to learn a very popular framework. It has been a long exciting journey, where I had the opportunity to build some amazing projects. The videos are easy to follow and you can test yourself with the challenges.
If you enjoy learning by doing, you will love SheCodes! Each lesson video is short and the instructor gives you a chance to try the skill on your own in the lesson challenge. The short videos and fast pace kept me from getting too overwhelmed during the course. I'm really proud that I was able to build my first website in just a few weeks. SheCodes Basics was really fun! I had zero coding knowledge coming into it and expected to feel out of my depth, but it wasn't like that at all. The structure of the course and the bite-size-ness of the video lessons, plus Matt's easy-to-understand teaching style made the learning process really smooth. And I loved that there's no heavy theory or reading, you just get straight into coding! Will definitely be back for more :)

I love how each week 1-6, each video breaks down the steps into bite-sized pieces and challenges, and then the last 2 weeks you get to see how it is all incorporated and comes together. I feel confident in my skills even more so through this workshop!

Excellent course! You can study at any pace, but there are still time limits that make you respect the time management of the course. Matt in his videos explains every little thing very clearly and in an easily-accessible form, so that the whole course turns into a saving path of breadcrumbs leading you through the dark and scary forest of coding. The team is always ready to answer all questions. In addition, what is important, gradually you understand the fundamental principles of work, without which it is impossible to improve skills. I am very satisfied and look forward to continuing the work.

I really like that each topic has a challenge in which you can solidify your knowledge and practice after a short video. The length of educational videos is short, so information is easier to take. All information is structured and really effective in teaching.

Fantastic introduction to coding! I had no previous experience with HTML, CSS & JavaScript, but now have a good understanding on what they are and how to use them. Matt's lesson videos are informative and detailed, and allow you to follow along and code at the same time, building your learning and understanding. The regular exercises and homework tasks help to reinforce that understanding and are quite challenging! I will definitely be using these new skills in my day-to-day life and at work. What more, I now have a real-life project that I built, which I can share with my employer and prospective employers!
SheCodes Plus was an amazing and challenging course. In just 2 months I have learned more advanced HTML, CSS and JavaScript (comparing to what I knew from a previous course) and add up some more skills - like working with API, GitHub, Bootstrap and Hosting. The whole SheCodes team in the front with Matt was incredibly helpful and motivational. The whole course is made so unbelievable well that even though you might have tons of work or school, you still will happily watch all the videos, do all the challenges and basically spend 8+ hours each week learning to code. And luckily, you will see the results! I highly recommend this course to anyone who thinks that coding might be something interesting for her. I am definitely going to do the next course React and silently hoping that SheCodes will make some more courses.

I enjoyed getting walked through how to make this app, but I don't feel I have internalized most of what I did. I don't think I could do most of it again, without following the videos over again, and then I don't know if I could apply it to something different. It was an interesting introduction, but it feels like a lot to have paid for the level of actual understanding I have at the end. I was hoping to have time and brain space to get creative with this, but I spent all the time I had dealing with the basics.
I'm really impressed with how much information I've learned so quickly. Matt's videos are great and put into terms that are easy for beginners to understand. 100% worth it! I can't wait to put my skills to use on more projects.
