I thinks this class is great for beginners, who never done coding before. But I would like videos a bit longer to explain some details a bit more. Still it is great if you are just starting, I never did coding before but now after finishing this class I know how to code as a beginner and I think now I will join a class for professionals and I hope I will be a pro one day.
To be honest, I didn't know what to expect when signing up for SheCodes. I had zero knowledge on coding and felt a bit intimidated by them. But by watching the videos, a complete newbie like me was able to understand. The workshops are clear and concise, so much so you just have to have determination to learn
This second course was definitely a challenge. I believe that to be successful, a student needs to get additional knowledge outside of the SheCodes course for assistance. There are some parts in the coding journey that can be confusing. That being said, I do recommend this course because it demands great dedication and demonstrates how coding is powerful. I love the training structure with its videos & challenges as well as the SheCodes team via Slack. The teachers are always available and answer questions very quickly.

Great course! In just 3 weeks, you can learn the basics of front-end development. It is very convenient that you can take classes at any time convenient for you. The video lessons are very interesting and informative (you won't get bored while learning). I will definitely recommend this course to my friends.
Lessons were clear and not long, it really helps not to get bored! I liked that under the video you can find basic information on topics and also challenges. A lot of practice that allows you to quickly remember the information! Thank you very much for such a wonderful course!
Cool and clear video lessons, useful information and interesting hometasks
Before the basic course, I could only vaguely recall the principles of HTML, CSS, and javascript. But, thanks to a clear, structural, practice-oriented video, useful and actual additional material, and skill-developing practice tasks, now I have a strong fundamental knowledge of the front-end.
It was a perfect way to understand more about coding to know if I could learn it since it always looks like something hard to do! the explanation of the videos was really good and easy to follow through! I enjoy the course!
If you have an interest in learning how to code, the SheCodes Basics workshop is a great way to figure out if coding really is for you. Each video and challenge is well explained, and the SheCodes community on Slacks is a good backup for when you're stuck. Matt challenges you by giving you factors on a web page where you need to figure out the code yourself, while teaching you how to google your issues and communicating them through Slacks. All in all, the work shop is the perfect course where you won't commit to a big and more expensive package, but still getting to know the basics and explore your interest more.
The basic SheCodes course was fun! It is very well structured with short videos, examples, and good explanations. The javascript part was my favorite!
It was a lot of work - but it was a great experience to build a responsive website from scratch. Really loved the videos and the result of my project!
100% recommend this course to anyone who is new to coding. Coding may seem intimidating but Matt breaks these classes down into short videos so it is easy to understand. Whenever I had any problems, Matt and his team answered my queries within 2 hours. I love the fact that after each tutorial video, there is a challenge to work on to ensure that we've understood the lesson. The project was pretty tedious for me but was definitely a fun experience!
SheCodes was a lot of fun! I am an absolute beginner when it comes to coding and Matt's videos made it easy to learn and to practice. I would definitely recommend this if wanting to start a new career or just for casual reasons.

I enjoyed the course a lot. The course doesn't require any previous programming experience and is suitable for absolute beginners who would like to try programming but don't know where to start. In the beginning, I just wanted to support the team for giving Ukrainian women an opportunity to learn web development during these harsh times. And in the end, I actually had a lot of fun doing all the homework, watching the videos, and learning. I have already recommended this course to a friend of mine.
I was quite hesitant before signing up because I didn't think I would be able to learn how to code. But the lessons are very well designed: the videos are short which makes it accessible, the exercises are fun but difficult enough to make it challenging and there is constant interaction with the SheCodes team π©βπ» in case you have questions. Also, since English is not my native language, I was afraid that learning to code would be a double challenge for me. But Matt speaks slowly and is super clear, plus there are tools like Close Caption to help those who have English as their second or third language. I highly recommend it; this course proves that we can all code πͺπ½πͺπ½.
Coding is a completely new topic for me, but thanks to your courses I became interested in it and learned many interesting things. It was also very interesting to watch videos and do different tasks.

This was another excellent workshop. The creation of the weather app was engaging from beginning to end. In each video Matt explained everything really clearly. He was always challenging me to do my best and although it wasn't easy, it wasn't impossible. Matt really know how to go into concepts one step at a time and gradually took me from HTML and CSS to Bootstrap and JavaScript. This was another amazing workshop and I can't wait to the next.

Amazing course! I have never expected from myself to be involved into coding process so intensely. Was I scared? Yes, sure. Although it was tough at times, I managed to go through all the lessons step by step, watching videos several times until I caught the meaning. My final project was the best part which combined all the skills I had to learn and apply. Feel gratitude to SheCodes Team for support and guidance! I would like to continue with pleasure, feel like it`s the beginning of my new life!

Straight to the point, clear explanations and examples that are easy to understand. The best part is you can always repeat a video, or ask for help on slack. Which makes the whole process way better.

Week 1 has been really fun. I thought I would hate the video format, however, it just made the lessons more concise. Even though I have dabbled in a bit of coding as a hobby in the past, doing the classes this way have not only helped me relearn, it has helped me to upskill and have a much better understanding of how each code works. It is also great that I am getting to learn the current version of codes in use today. It has helped with my coding confidence so far!

When I was studying programming in school and university, I hated CSS! It seemed to me so difficult and boring, but now I'm completely in love! π I hope, one day SheCodes will make me love JS π The course was quite easy but also challenging! I love that the video lessons last max 15min. I think that long hours videos would make me bored and I wouldnt want to study at all. The short videos with max needed information are the best! Thank you for such an opportutiny to improve myself!
This is an eye opening project that shows a lot of work is done in the background (coding) in order to create a project that looks simple on the surface. One has to be patience in learning as it is all about trial and error especially when encountering error during the project. Luckily the videos/source code that is provided has been sufficient and there are staff in slack whom you can approach anytime for help.

The step-by-step course for beginners is a really great idea to start with and see if programming is ok for you. On the course it's easy to study, recheck video lessons or challanges at any time. After trying it all the final project allows to do add some creativity to my programming, which is a great oppirtunity to have some fun. Thanks to this course it turned out coding isn't so diificult as it seems. At least the first steps :-)
The responsive is a great workshop to get involved with thinking about development as mobile first! The mix of videos to hands on sessions makes it easy to follow and learn from!
Completing the SheCodes Basics Workshop was an eye-opening and freeing experience for me! I had ZERO knowledge of coding when starting the course, and three weeks later, I proudly designed and coded my first landing page. The videos were easy-to-follow, and I enjoyed the interactive challenges.
I have struggled in the past with JavaScript in particular but this time I have been successful in understanding and coding JavaScript. I find Matt's videos to be interesting and I am kept engaged throughout.
I am originally from Ukraine but because of the war caused by russia I am now staying abroad. And I am really grateful to SheCodes for the possibility to try coding! Interesting videos, constant practicies, homeworks, feedbacks! It was immensely interesting and if I will have the ability to continue education - I will do so!

I liked this class a lot. Even though I had to get myself motivated to do it everyday because some of the videos were just so long and boring... The activities are super fun. The actual activity parts in the workshops are interactive and enjoyable. I'm very proud of myself for doing this class and now I can brag to my friend that I know how to code!

As usual, all the video lessons in this workshop were so suitable. It was very interesting to make something that looks good and works well.
I learned quite a lot during this workshop. Challenges after every lesson helped to remember all the information that was represented in the videos. Moreover, you are not getting overwhelmed by long explanatory lectures, since all explanations are quite short but informative at the same time.
I do recommend this course because it is easy to understand and learn by the videos and challenges as a beginner. It is also so rewarding when it comes to solving problems, trying and understanding the art of programming by yourself.
SheCodes broke down their course into multiple short lessons so each video is only a few minutes long which you can easily fit into your busy schedule. They're so easy to follow and so concise! Matt anticipates the problems we might face and he's so great at teaching.
SheCodes Responsive is an amazing way to learn how to build responsive websites, plus, you come out of it with an actual portfolio. I have always found the videos easy to understand, and, if something wasn't working, it was always easy to ask the team for guidance.

I am so glad I gave SheCodes a try! π I took two years of programming courses in university, but I felt that it wasn't for me. I struggled with the classes, especially in projects where we had to use maths. Being super bad at math, I couldn't finish the projects on my own, and I remember giving up on a final project because I was so frustrated with myself. I was also skeptical with this online workshop at first, thinking that it would be difficult to learn something online or that I would get discouraged by the exercises. However, the videos where easy to understand and follow, and I felt really great whenever I successfully finished a Challenge or a weekly homework. π Im now considering of taking SheCodes Plus, and I hope that I can continue to improve my coding skills and eventually get a job as a front-end developer in the future. β¨
At times this course was challenging but I was always able to overcome any issues and now can proudly present my final project. Matt's videos made coding just as fun as during the basics course and I gained better knowledge of JS thanks to him. I'm so happy I found these workshops!

I looked at a lot of other places to learn some coding and ended up going with SheCodes. I LOVE it! It is super easy to follow! I especially like how short each teaching video is, it was nice to be able to watch a short video and then practice afterward. This has definitely motivated me to learn more coding!

I must admit that it was much harder and much more challenging compared to SheCodes Basics, but, at the same time, I see myself improving and having a better understanding of coding overall. There is one thing I wanted to have through the course is a more detailed explanation, especially about Java Script such as functions since I am not super comfortable yet and also I sometimes get confused with certain things regarding JS, so if there were any video clip explaining more specific parts, I might have been more confident and comfortable to code by myself. I googled and checked YouTube videos about JS, and I feel I am getting more familiar with those, but still, I would appreciate it if we could access all minor details in SheCodes to keep things more consistent and for us to stay focused on one platform. At last, I genuinely appreciate that Matthieu and all the staff are always supportive and kind. Looking forward to SheCodes improving its performance much more than what it is now and more many people enjoying coding as I am right nowπ Thank you so much allπ

It was very useful and interesting course, information is presented in a very detailed and simple way, and this in cool. In some lessons the details under the video included what was covered in the next lesson, but I only realized this when I started the next lesson after studying these details on my own. SheCodes plus was full of wonders! so many ups and downs and that was the beauty of it! after each project I could feel the progress; and thanks to the community on Slack I managed to learn from mistakes. The SheCodes Basics workshop was excellent. The video tutorials were clear and provided step-by-step guidance for the topics in html, css, and javascript. I learned a lot but it was not overwhelming. Once I completed the final project, I realized JUST how much I have learned over the course of this workshop. I'm super proud of myself. I particularly like that you never feel alone or without community because the Slack workspace has a ton of students going through the same challenges as you and you get answers to your questions from the SheCodes team in usually less than 24 hours. Fantastic experience that I would recommend to anyone who interested in getting started with the basics.
Three weeks of SheCodes Basics flew really fast. The course is well-organised: it gives neither too much nor too little information, always keeps you a bit "hungry" and entertained at the same time. You always want to learn more today and, as the videos are short, it's easy to accomplish.
I can't recommend SheCodes highly enough! I had so much fun making this weather app, it was the perfect balance of challenging and rewarding. Didn't think I would enjoy spending evenings after work plugging away on VScode so much! The videos and homework assignments from Matt and the support provided by the SheCodes team was so helpful in getting my head around the coding fundamentals, I don't think I would have made it this far without it!

I've been interested in learning how to code for some time and found free courses online but the issue with those is that it's very hard to be motivated. This workshop is different as all the videos are not only very informative but very easy to follow. Each video has a challenge which makes you put your skills to practice and I've enjoyed every single one of them. Also, Matt's a great instructor and I highly recommend this workshop.

As a professional programmer with an I.T. degree, I really enjoyed this class. I never learned React.js in college and I am trying to shift my career from networking into front-end development. I really wanted to master React in a way that was easy to understand. I feel like this class would be beneficial to both mid-level beginners and professional programmers because the lectures are laid out in a very clear and concise manner. The step-by-step videos laid out the puzzle that made everything come together in the end. Thank you for all you do, Matt.

I really liked the course. I had never been trained before and had almost no experience in communicating in English. I was determined that I would have to watch the video several times before I understood everything. But I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out that everything was clear and accessible the first time. What seemed complicated turned out to be simple and fun with SheCodes. And it gives a lot of self-confidence.

I never thought I would love to learn how to code so much! I went to college for healthcare and slowly realized I'm burnt out and immediately knew I had to change something or do something that can be so fun and rewarding. I was looking online trying to see what kind of remote work I could do and as I was searching on YouTube I came upon an ad about SheCodes and what really drew me in was that it was all women! I did the info session with Matt and I fell so in love with the idea that this is actually a thing! Don't get me wrong, I knew it was a thing but to know theres a community of women on the same boat as me wanting to try something knew really excited me! I was nervous and at times, I did get frustrated a few times because I just felt like I wasn't getting it quick enough like everyone else. But Matt's videos are so well explained and the resources and information he gives are so reassuring and easy to follow that I'm so excited to learn more!
