Thanks to SheCodes, my coding confidence has soared, and I'm now genuinely excited to tackle more side projects. Matt's thorough and detail-oriented videos has been instrumental in this progress.
Python looked intimidating at first but following Matt in the videos, I came to really enjoy using it. Looking forward to carrying on the Python learning in the next workshop.
I found the SheCodes Basics workshops really informative and beginner-friendly. As someone new to javascript, I appreciated how the lessons were structuredโclear, well-paced, and easy to follow. Clear video's and useful exercises
After completing SheCodes Basics, I was excited to go a step furtherโand the add-on did not disappoint! It gave me hands-on experience with more challenging coding tasks that pushed me out of my comfort zone. I learned how to build interactive web features using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. What I appreciated most was how the lessons were broken down into manageable videos, and the projects allowed me to apply what Iโd learned immediately. Before SheCodes, I never imagined Iโd be able to understand code, let alone write it confidently
Absolutely enjoyed this introduction to HTML, CSS, and Javascript. The videos broke down the steps of each task/skill in a way that was easy to follow. I also liked having the visual examples of the within the lesson, so you could just copy and paste it. I also very much appreciated having the demos in the lesson to compare with my attempts. The way this workshop is set up, you have multiple tools and your disposal, which made it easy to grasp the concepts.
Love the way these courses are structured so that we're building the project step by step with Matt's videos!
This has to be my favourite project so far. I honestly love design and playing with colours, so it was a fun project to do. Had a small bump there and there but consistency and rewatching the videos helped me understand a whole lot better and now I can proudly say I "cracked the code" ๐๐. Onto the next!
Taking part in the Introduction to Coding workshop was an incredibly rewarding experience. We explored the fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in a way that was both engaging and easy to follow. The tutorials and video guides made learning feel accessible and fun, no matter your starting point. This journey has not only solidified the basics for me but also fueled my already burning passion for IT. Iโm proud to say Iโm one step closer to achieving my goal of becoming a junior developer, and this workshop has been a meaningful part of that path.
The SheCodes Plus course was a lot more advanced and a lot more exciting! I really felt like I was being challenged to push my understanding of how things work. I went through a few tricky moments with JavaScript functions and organising my code properly to make it all work but the resources, Matt's videos and help from the Slack channel go me through! Very excited to have produced a fully functioning weather app using an API.

At the beginning I didn't think I can manage but I made it! The videos are super helpful breaking down the seemingly "horrifying" projects into easier steps (if you keep trying, you will manage). Also, I have to mention the super supportive team on Slack that are always there for your questions. Thank you for making coding super fun! Highly recommend!
This workshop had a lot of information to grasp and understand. It was all explained in detail and you can easily follow the videos, to get a understand of each challenge and attempt it on your own. I learnt so much, at my own pace and it all makes sense in the end.

The SheCodes Basics Add-on is a great enhancement to the SheCodes Basics course. Even though I took a break for a while, I find that every time I return to watch new videos, I can pick up right where I left off and catch on easily. The classes are enjoyable and run smoothly, and I love that each lesson has a challenge. Learning here is both fun and enlightening. A big shoutout to Matthieu!
My journey to learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript has been amazing, what I love the most was the detailed video explanation by our instructor Matt๐, sometimes when my code didn't run I felt frustrated but what stood out for me in this workshop was when our instructor said in a certain video "Have fun and Google is your friend, research, don't copy code but use it as inspiration and that you can get help from us if you feel stuck". I love these motivational words because during my project, I felt down at some moments, but recalling those words motivated me a lot. I am so excited that despite all the hurdles, I was able to complete my project, and most of all, I had quite a lot of fun coding. If you really want to learn coding, then SheCodes is for you, because whether you are a beginner or intermediate, the workshop structure and standard is top-notch๐so if I can code, then so can you, Up Up SheCodes. This React workshop was very educational, challenging at times, following the videos, but using the SheCodes API instead. However, always possible to overcome and learn from the process.
Was it a bit of a challenge? Yes, it was, but it was worth it. SheCodes React Add-on was great. Each video helped me ensure that I can solve every challenge by myself.
The online resources, Athena AI, and videos to help debug all combine to create a very effective learning environment for anyone who wants to try coding!

This one was super fun! It felt like we had more freedom to be creative this time around due to already having experience with the the HTML, JavaScript and CSS properties, so it was easier to get stuck in and create fun designs. Side note: I really like the Athena AI help as it saves you having to go through all the videos and your notes to find a quick answer to your question.
I am so glad to have been able to complete this next step with Matts video guidance as well as the help of the SheCodes tools. This project was a little difficult but definitely not impossible. I'm very proud of myself for being able to get this far in this journey and I can't wait to learn more and submit more projects.
The SheCodes Basics course was perfect for me to understand the foundations of coding. The video explanations and challenges were great and easy to follow for someone with cero knowledge about coding.
I already knew Bootstrap, but I only really understood how to use it thanks to this course. It was very interesting to create an entire site, with all the pages, using this framework. Every time I got stuck, I had the videos as a reference. The only thing I regret is not having used javascript these weeks.
Its truly has been enjoyable on this new learning adventure of coding. While there has been some challenges along the way, it aloud for self-study and research along with some creativity. Receiving the solution video's right after submission are great, it helps eliminate the stress of if you did it right or not.
I can highly recommend Shecodes as a learning platform. I would never have thought that I would enjoy programming so much. The videos are very well structured and the many challenges you do during the course allow you to apply what you have learnt straight away. Really well done!

React was by far the most challenging workshop for me. I didnโt understand the need for React at first, but now I see how powerful it is. Some videos to set up the environment were confusing at first but overall helpful.
I was unsure if anything connected to front-end developing would interest me or if I would be able to understand all of that. But I am happy that I gave it a chance. Matt explains very well, it is great that we can re-watch the videos,have often a small homework to do which helps us to learn steadily, have a supporting community, find out what resources we can use and how and I love that it is adaptable to your own time and schedule. Despite very busy work and all the stress connected with moving, I have been able to finish, have found a new joy and will surely continue :)

It was my first time programing and i love it! it was a very simple course with very explanatory videos that allowed you to easily understand what was required.
The videos and examples were very clear and easy to understand. The homework were fun and challenging, but was so rewarding when I get the task.
I have been amazed by how much I was able to learn in the last couple of weeks. As a complete beginner to coding and its fundamentals, I now feel bit more confident to learn more of what Shecodes has to offer. Thank you Matt for building this course, the lectures are really engaging and hands on as well, thus keeps the fun alive in all the learning videos I have gone through thus far!
I highly recommend SheCodes to anyone! The platform is easy to navigate, and the lessons are clear and concise. The videos are short yet informative, with challenges that help reinforce what you've learned. At the end of each week, there's a homework assignment that combines all the topics covered in the lessons. Plus, if you ever forget something, you can always go back and rewatch the videos at your own pace :)

This was so much fun! Matt makes things easy to understand and when I struggled, I just went back to the videos. I have barely used outside resources because he is just that good.
This part of the SheCodes workshop was quite a welcome challenge, I got to see the code come to life with both the API integration and hosting it on Netlify.When I got to the final project where I needed to add forecast data, it seemed quite daunting, but with the explanations given in the video tutorials by Matt I was able to find a way to make it work and understand it.
Good basis of more technical knowledge. However I rated this poorly because you don't learn how to actually do the final project by yourself. Matt even says numerous times in the final week's videos that the skills needed aren't taught in the course and you'll need years of experiece to learn how to do properly.
Loved this workshop! I have been "studying" Python before, but it was fun to apply it practically and learn how to build a weather app. As always, Matt is a great teacher and the videos make it easy to follow along.
An interesting add-on to Basics workshop. Very good, step-by-step guidance. I found this set of videos easier to follow, having done the Basics. Also, I've finally made use of AI Athena, which has improved the quality and efficacy of my learning experience. Great work, SheCodes team!
The responsive add-on course teaches you a few more techniques and allows you to dive even deeper into responsive by giving you the opportunity to build an entire responsive website from scratch. It allows you to use all of your previously acquired skills and put them into action. The course is definitely challenging but I like that you have the option to build your website alongside Matt or do it completely on your own without watching the videos in advance. It is a lot of learning but it is also a lot of fun to be able to build your own website and see it come to life on screens of all sizes.
A great introduction to the world of coding. The video tutorials were easy to follow and engaging and you could go at your own pace - no added pressure. i will definitely be doing the other workshop tiers if i get the chance!
The learning materials in this course are incredibly helpful, and Matt's instructional videos are so clear and well thought out. Oftentimes I found myself asking "But what about..." only for him to later cover my question. The clear explanation, practical examples and Slack support make it a great starting point or refresher for HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals.

This add-on coding course was the perfect next step after the basics! Covering HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and HTML class manipulation, it was definitely more challenging, but the step-by-step breakdown and guidance made a huge difference. One of my favorite things about these courses is the ability to rewatch the training videos as many times as needed, allowing me to adjust my code while following along at my own pace. I really enjoyed the challenge, and the final project was so much fun to create! It's also fantastic that we can showcase our final projects after each courseโit's a great way to see how far we've come in our coding journey while also sharing fun and interesting details about ourselves with potential employers. This is a great program. I cannot believe how easy it was to understand and learn new coding languages. It is challenging and fun work! All of the challenges and homework make it easy to grab attain the skills. I love that all the videos are still there if I need them to reference back to. It really makes my problem-solving skills stand out.
I really enjoyed the Plus AI workshop! It was such a fun experience to learn how to integrate AI into a project. Working on the final project was a highlight for me, especially with the awesome video lessons that guided me every step of the way.

This allowed me to plan out how much time I needed to dedicate each week, and it did not feel overwhelming to juggle against other priorities.

Meeting CSS for the first time was really scary for me but I learnt that going over the tutorials videos over and over again helps me understand what I was struggling with better.
Homework assignments included tasks not covered in training. This is claimed to encourage independent learning, however I am paying money to be taught not to waste considerable time searching on Google. The education approach using the 'sink or swim' method was debunked years ago. It is unclear if the presenter is a qualified trainer. This also indicates my time is not being valued in this course. They have not updated the training videos in years. They are teaching JavaScript ES6 which was released in 2015. There have been 9 updated versions since then. Took 3 weeks for their team to respond to a message in slack. They required me to provide a public testimonial to โvalidateโ my completion certificate. This should not be required to obtain my certificate as it is not a learning outcome and if the work is completed, the certificate should be provided. Then when I initially attempted to provide a low rating, the website returned an error message (for multiple days - not a โconnection errorโ as claimed). Then it defaulted to a 5 star rating and ended up on their website even though it still appeared as an error on my end. I was contacted to provide another review on Facebook after they read my last โgreat reviewโ. When I asked if there was a review rating attributed to me as I attempted to provide a low rating, I was advised โnoโ. This was a lie and my name and (incorrect 5 *) rating was on the website.

Continuing my journey with SheCodes React has been both rewarding and incredibly fun! This course was instrumental in helping me grasp the fundamentals of the React framework, and it was so satisfying to see what I builtโa weather application in React! While React was initially tough for me, I found great comfort in how our instructor, Matt, explains each concept in such a clear and approachable way. I particularly appreciated watching him troubleshoot and refine his code, making it not only functional but also clean and elegant. The bite-sized video lessons were perfect for staying on track without feeling overwhelmed. Plus, the SheCodes team is always available to help with any questions that come up during the lessons. Nice, straight-forward project with easy to follow tutorial videos and a fun end task.
The course offers a structured approach and valuable learning materials, but my experience was impacted by a lack of responsive support. My initial start date was incorrect due to an issue on SheCodes' side, and despite reaching out multiple times, I had difficulty getting timely assistance. While the content is helpful, it consists entirely of pre-recorded videos, which felt less personal for a paid program. I expected more direct interaction and support.

Great way of learning how to code as a beginner. Great lecture videos with good exercises. I'm impressed how much I've learned in a short time period. Good support from the library with input other fellow students and the SheCodes support team in the background. It was not an easy start, but it's manageable and most important of all: It's fun. The workshops are design to help finish the lessons week by week and in each lesson their is a video how to do complete each assignment.
As before, clear instructions. The last few lessons I had the video on while working on my own project, because it was already clear what to do.

SheCodes lectures are short and intersting which has challenges after every video to test whatever I have learnt which is extremely helpful and engaging it was fun learning!
This has been the most difficult workshop for me personally. However, being able to rewatch the videos and getting same-day feedback on Slack helped me through it all.
I recommend the course to anyone who wants to brush up on the basics or for those just starting out. It gives you motivation and the explanations in the videos are good and easy to follow.

SheCodes Advanced Python workshop was a great follow on from the basics workshop! Matt's video tutorials were clear and easily digestible so following along and completing challenges were simple and fun to do. Throughout this course, I was given plenty of opportunities to practise coding with Python and the final project was exciting to see a real-life example of what I had learnt in action.
