SheCodes was a great introduction to the world of coding! The videos were extremely helpful and went step by step, always answering all of my questions. Matt has designed something awesome. I can't wait to keep learning!

I have enjoyed this workshop since day 1, the step-by-step videos have made it easy to follow and understand for an absolute beginner like me. Matt is the best instructor ever! I highly recommend this course.

First of all, React is so scary. Everything is confusing, But when you learn that, You can code easier and enjoy coding more than in the past. So, if it is tricky at first, don't be scared. keep a deep breath, do challenges step by step with lesson videos. Search on slack or google if you need new features, then do it. React is easier and more interesting than you think.

It's been fantastic to learn a new skill which I will definitely consider developing further. SheCodes is presented in a really easy format and allows you to work when suits you. I really like the function on the video's which allows you to adjust the speed at which they playback. The online support provided by slack is a fantastic tool which helps when wanting a solution to move on to the next step at speed.

I loved the course so far, and I will sign up for more. Either to change career path or to use in my current job as a teacher. The learning style suits me very well, short videos and tasks to finish.

This journey was difficult to follow for me because javascript code became so complicated sometimes, but the instruction was really clear in every video., so thank you so much, Matt! He is a great teacher and he teaches us as simple as possible, so even though I confused, I watched the video again and again and found some mistakes that I made or understand the meaning of the code. I would really recommend this to other people who haven't experience this wonderful course.

I enjoyed much all of the challenges, it makes me think and do more research until I get the required result. The video classes are very good and easy to understand. I thought the lessons would be hard but SheCodes made it simpler so a person with no background like me can fully grasp it. This has been an incredible workshop. I cannot express how much I love Matt's teaching style, each video very clear and not too long, and then the next video building on the concepts you learned before. It meant that even starting with zero knowledge I was able to follow along easily, and quickly got to grips with coding principles - and if I was ever stuck, there was a whole community on Slack to help. I also really liked how SheCodes has a lot of tools you can use, but also how the course taught me how to find the answer elsewhere if I was struggling; useful for any future coding I do! Thanks so much for this wonderful introduction to coding - I'm so pleased I've started my first steps along this path!

Very nice introduction course to see if you want to continue learning coding on a more avanced level, the video classes are easy to follow and clear. The final project was also fun to do.

First experience with coding and although at times the videos were quick, a lot of concepts were covered. Overall felt as though the class helped prepare me for experiences that could happen in real life.

Since graduating from college in June, I wasn't sure which path I wanted to take in tech. Thankfully, I saw a SheCodes ad on Youtube. Initially, I was introduced to html/css many years ago when I took 2 online courses at a local college; however, for whatever reason I didn't pursue it. I'm happy to have gotten reintroduced to it by taking the SheCodes basic workshop. I forgot how interesting it was. And since I'm a visual learner, I loved learning by watching videos. It made the material easier to understand and the three weeks flew by. Now I have an idea of which direction I want to take.

I enjoyed working with SheCodes very much. The programming videos were easy to understand and study from, it's a very good method when someone needs extra help or explaining time. The tools provided also expanded my view on coding. Although I wasn't sure a few times where exactly did I stand with my projects there was always somebody willing to help. Altough I sense I made some mistakes in my final project, I can say everything was worth it.

I really enjoyed this course. It was easy to grasp and the bitesize videos with the challenges really helped me put into practice html, CSS and JavaScript. I would 100% recommend SheCodes as it is an incredible tool to elevate your beginner coding skills. 10/10 👍👍👍

This SheCodes Plus was actually not easy as SheCodes basics. I had to repeat the videos so many times until I understood what I did not understand. But I found that the more complicated coding problems were more interesting when you solved them!

SheCodes is great for learning more about HTML and CCS through video lessons and hands-on projects.

SheCodes Basics has been awesome! I learnt so much over the last few weeks. The mix of tutorial videos, challenges and homework was perfect :-)

I was always so intimidated by coding & web development, it always seemed like an exclusive boys club to get into. Matt made me realize that this is not the case even in the first free introductory class I tuned in to. His videos are super comprehensive & there is an open slack chat as well, these give you all the tools you need to succeed! :)

It has been a fun experience built in a didactive way. I would recommend it to others, especially due to the self-paced aspect. In this way, you can watch multiple videos a day or not watch videos on certain days when you don't have time. Since the videos are short and rarely over 10 minutes long, it is easy to keep the concentration.

the class was so friendly. the best part of class in my opinion is is being short (not to tell every lessons in one video).

SheCodes is amazing!!! This bootcamp is an excellent choice to learn front-end coding skills. Matt is an awesome instructor. He breaks down concepts in an easy, brief format (each lesson is less than 20 minutes). One of my favorite things is how he provides solution videos to each challenge and homework assignment. Thank you to the entire SheCodes team! I'm definitely enrolling in another workshop.

I would define this experience as: challenging and fun. There were many moments where I stayed late into the night working on my projects and I don't regret anything. I'm super happy I chose to participate in this workshop! It's amazing how much I learnt in this relative short amount of time. I will definitely continue with the next workshop aswell to deepen my knowledge further. Thanks to Matt's good explanations and the support of his team I could understand complex problems and solve all the tasks without any issues. Another thing I like about the workshop is that we can watch the video tutorials over and over again to refresh our memory about all the techniques we covered.

It's a pretty fun workshop and the videos were really easy to follow. The staff at SheCodes and fellow students are also very helpful when you get stuck.

Through SheCodes I made my first experiences in coding. It was a lot of fun, the tutorial videos explained everything very simply and since you could apply it directly, you also got the practice. I definitely recommend it and look forward to the next course.

SheCodes Basic has easy to follow videos, with challenges after each of them. I had fun working on final project, so much so, that I had difficulty of stopping at 2.00 am, after finding the solution for the issue that was bugging me. :)

I really enjoyed the three weeks course and found it a great introduction to the world of coding, which seemed so alien to me before starting. I really like the format of the course, with instruction videos and challenges so that you get to practice the new skill you just learnt. I also appreciated how I could go at my own pace but still had the incentive of a deadline for the homework each week. Having the slack community was also great. Knowing that you are learning together with others can be very motivating.

I enjoyed SheCodes it presented the lessons in a way that was easy to understand, and I liked the challenges that we had to complete after finishing the video lessons. Since finishing the workshop I feel confident with the basics I have learned.

I am so glad that I have joined SheCodes! In just 3 weeks I went from knowing NOTHING to building a simple website 🤩. At first, I was a bit hesitant about the teaching format, but Matt is absolutely brilliant at explaining things. You can watch videos whenever you like and rewatch them as many times as you want which is great if you are juggling a job and/or college work with the course like myself. I am so glad I have started this journey with SheCodes and I cannot wait to see where it takes me👩🏼‍💻

Great format based on a mix of explanatory videos, challenges to apply everything instantly and homework to really get practical with an awesome community for support - could not recommend more and excited to continue the journey.

Matt was an articulate instructor and very talented at translating scripts into easily digestible concepts. I was able to reinforce my understanding of coding basics quickly--I had not had to write any code in over ten years, and re-learned everything in three weeks, as promised. The coursework was fun and comprehensive, and the videos made it easy to rewatch if I missed anything.

Highly recommended for someone who needs base knowledge and very detailed videos about all the basics

I really appreciated my first experience with coding, never really thought I would be into it! I'll definitely take the others workshops. I like that the videos are not too long and after there's always a challenge.

I really enjoyed working through the lessons. The homework is the best bit because it makes you do something, not just watch the videos like a movie! Matt is a great instructor and the Slack channel is fantastic. Can't wait for the next courses.

I have always wanted to learn to code but didnt know where to start, I had previously watched youtube videos and read online resources but found that none of them started right at the beginning. I really enjoyed these courses and the satisfaction of learning something new and being able to see my skills develop through the projects

I have really enjoyed learning all new things over the last three weeks. Would defiantly recommend this for anyone looking to learn the basics on coding. This basic course was a good way to get a better understanding of what coding is really about. I really like watching the bite sized videos done by Matt followed by a challenge to test my new found knowledge.

I like the lively presentation - no edited to perfection kind of videos. That helps a lot. Also, rework what is in the video makes it easier to understand where you go wrong if it does not work in your version.

I didn't think I would be able to complete the course, or at least not very well, but the way it is instructed by Matt, and the allowance to take it all in you own time, in small or large chunks is very helpful! The videos make it easy to go back to something you learned before if you get stuck, and the online support system on Slack is amazing. I feel much more confident and better equipped now that I have completed the course! I plan to take more courses with SheCodes now and gain a better future! Thank you so much <3

SheCodes Plus is a very nice and clear course instructed by Matt. Every video and challenge really focus on constructing a coding journey which is fun and productive.

The workshop was really fun! I appreciated that each video was short and and the challenge parts are very helpful.

As a video game localization specialist, I often deal with code in my translations and I am used to working around it. Thanks to SheCodes Basic, I have a better understanding of it and I feel confident I can keep learning how to code. It has been a very rewarding and interesting course!

This course was structured very well. The videos were easy to understand and the support from the SheCodes team is amazing!

I'll be honest: I was intimidated by the idea of learning to code for quite some time. I thought that because I am a clinician and work in healthcare, there would be no way that this would click with my background and skills. However, I was super surprised by how much fun I had doing this course! All of the lessons were very easy to absorb without feeling overwhelmed, and I loved that there were so many different ways for me to go back and review different concepts if I was stuck (e.g., videos, examples/models, support from staff, Slack). If any other women in my life ask about where to start with coding, I will be sure to refer them here.

I've always wanted to learn coding but felt it "wasn't for me" because it's such a male-dominated world. SheCodes made it feel accessible and fun! The courses are engaging, well organized and easy to follow, plus the activities and homework really cement your learning of the core concepts (far more effective than just watching a video). I can't wait to learn more!

The pace and examples in this workshop were well-thought-out and clearly demonstrated the goals for each lesson. Written summaries of the content were helpful in looking back and reviewing quickly without having to re-watch videos, and the workflow overall made for a really positive and supportive experience!

Overall I really liked this intro course! I can't believe how much I have learned, and how comfortable I feel coding only after 3 weeks. The video lessons were really well explained and if I had trouble I would look at the SheCodes resources or the slack channel and my questions would get answered pretty easily. Now whenever I'm on any website I right-click inspect to see what else I can learn😁. I'm excited for the next stage!

I have loved completing the first part of the SheCodes course and have learnt more than I thought I would. The way in which you learn by watching videos and then putting into practice what you learn after each section is so easy to follow and really helps you pick things up.

This class was a great introduction to the world of coding and served as a sampler for me without committing before I was sure I wanted to explore this field. The videos were digestible, the homework helped cement the foundations of the coding languages we explored and the project was challenging enough to keep me engaged until the end.

This was tough especially being hard of hearing and able to have access to subtitle to the video (Thanks to Google Chrome setting)! I enjoyed this so far just wish it was a little more structure but I do hope the next workshop will be little more fun to go on. But overall, I enjoyed this opportunity to gain my skillset in the tech industry now.

I'd learned some extremely basic HTML through my job, but coding always kind of intimidated me. I came across SheCodes and am so glad I signed up! With other courses I had a hard time understanding the basics of coding frankly it scare me until SheCodes and it was so much fun , lessons are short and clear and the best part was if i did not understand well i could play the video again and again! Feeling like wonder woman after having coded my own website from scratch. This was a great intro into responsive web-design, would highly recommend to anyone considering looking to further polish their HTML/CSS skills. The videos were great and very detailed and not only cover coding skills but go into some of the more practical details as well. So you not only learn how to write the actual code but you learn how to think like a coder/developer. Excited to continue my journey with SheCodes React.

I started programming as a side task in my previous job to build some basic applications in Google App Script to automatize some processes. I discovered that I liked coding and that the job of developer would enable me to have a more flexible lifestyle than I used to have. After trying to learn coding on my own via free courses and YouTube videos, I realised it would be more efficient to have a better structure of learning with deadlines, challenges, projects but also flexibility, which is why I registered to SheCodes. Even though I had already some basic knowledge of HTML and CSS, this course was clearer than any of the other content I had already learnt from and helped me understand better what I was doing. I would like to stress that you DO NOT NEED to have any experience in coding to register for SheCodes. The courses are very structured and the fact that you apply what you learnt right away in some small challenges helps absorbing the information.

I enjoyed the course and have gained a much better understanding of coding. I think the average estimated hours given for the 3 week course were quite inaccurate for me and it was much more time consuming than I was prepared for it to be. Whilst the videos are good, they are not always very clear and seemed to deliberately leave things out as a challenge. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I personally felt the slack channel wasn't a very fast or reliable method of support and so these regular gaps of information became frustrating at times. We are also encouraged to search Google for help, but the issue there is that many sites were discussing coding terms and techniques we hadn't learned so any methods suggested for certain issues didn't seem like viable options. Overall, I think it's a good course and I enjoyed it, but would advise anyone doing it with no prior coding knowledge to ensure they have time to dedicate to it.

I really like this workshop because it has excersizes after the video and I can review things and practice more. also, the deadline of each project make me organized

You learn while you practice, FOR REAL. Each video has its own exercise and each week has its final homework to test everything you have learned. I had no idea about coding and now I feel comfortable with the basics. Let's keep learning!

I truly enjoyed SheCodes Basics! It was a great way to see if this was something I wanted to pursue and it definitely is. The videos made learning fun and easy, I cannot wait to continue my coding journey.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience in this workshop. It was very informative and I learned a lot. When I didn't understand something, I was able to seek help through Slack chat. And then tip for incoming students, it is more difficult for you to binge all the videos and assignments in one day in comparison to other workshops like the Basics Workshop. Of course, you should take notes especially if you aren't spreading the workload in the way where you get to practice everyday. And yes, I do recommend this course.

I had zero knowledge in coding but had always been very interested. Since I'm in Law it's not usual to have access to any kind of class that would help me get to know this area better but now I can say that I at least know the basics and would be very much interested in continuing with other SheCodes workshops ! This journey has been lifechanging. After finishing the SheCodes Basic I was so excited to learn about the world of coding with SheCodes Plus. Little did I know back then, how much I will learn both about coding and about my very self as well. SheCodes Plus dove me to learn more and more, to not be satisfied with the average but to go beyond my limits. I am so very grateful for this opportunity. Even though I was struggling a lot (especially with the unit the conversion lol :D), it brought me an unexpected feeling of satisfaction in the end. Creating something that actually works in the end feels wonderful. Not to even mention the amazing SheCodes team led by Matt in every video that is a pleasure to watch and consisting of so many kind people that always offer a help on Slack. Thank you SheCodes Plus! I am anxious to see what the SheCodes React will bring.

This course taught me the basics of coding well and opened up a new world to me. I did SheCodes Plus immediately afterwards and enjoyed both courses a lot. In general the videos provided a good explanation of what was expected and the (sometimes much needed;) support on Slack was great as well.

Started from SheCodes Basics to React, by far this was the most challenging course. No doubt the learning curve for React was steep, at times the new concepts and functions were hard to grasp. However, Matt's videos always made easier to comprehend. I can't believe that I was able to build 2 React apps within 8 weeks! Looking forward to what's coming next

I loved all the SheCodes workshops so much !! they were so fun, colorful, informative and easy to understand. Matt does an amazing job at explaining everything. It was sometimes hard to stop watching the workshop videos because you just want to keep learning. I never knew how easy coding was !!

I've learned A LOT during this course, the step-by-step videos are so easy to follow which makes it easy for anyone to understand! I had a lot of fun putting the final project together as I really understood what I was doing. There's still a lot left to learn, but I for sure understand the basics now.

Fabulous way to learn to code - really enjoyed the videos and the website set-up. Made it really easy to absorb all the information and get a chance to practise. Would highly recommend.

Great for having some structure and deadlines to hold yourself to while you learn how to code. The amount of material is also very achievable to get through when you are limited on extra time to commit to learning (approx. 5 hours / week compared to 10+ hours with other programs). I also like the nice mix of bite size videos and exercises to get hands on practice with the concepts. Best way to start out my mornings learning new skills.

Matt's videos are very instructive so we can easily follow them. The best part is I didn't even notice that I was working on the challenges and homework, because to me I was just having a lot of fun. I also loved the self-paced learning, which may be challenging at times but with discipline and passion, any dedicated student can do it.

Highly recommend SheCodes for those who want to learn coding but have trouble finding time. I like how the lesson is broken down into topics with short videos and exercises to practice.
