I really enjoyed all of the videos. The SheCodes Basics was a great start and broke down all the concepts in a way I understood. I would recommend this class, especially since you get to learn with programs that are used in real life.
It's great that you can set your own space completing this workshop, and I would have never thought that I would lose myself in coding for hours and hours because I wanted to learn more and more. The videos are easy to follow and Matt provides great tips. I've done some other online courses about HTML and CSS in the past, but I was never able to find the right commitment. The challenges and homework at SheCodes changed that. I'm very proud of the end result!

SheCodes Basics has been a wonderful introduction to Front-End Development for me. Since I can access the videos any time, I've been able to do it on the weekends and after work. And now I've coded my first web page! It is unbelievable how easy Matt makes coding seem and I can't recommend SheCodes more.

I'm so glad that I did this course! Though it's been challenging, I love that I've been able to go back and rewatch videos, get feedback from peers and also from the SheCodes staff. They get back to you quickly and really take the time to explain things when I got stuck. I had been using other resources to try to learn coding before trying SheCodes, including apps. I feel like I'm grasping concepts better and can actually apply what I'm learning. I really love that you have assignments and homework deadlines, I needed the extra motivation, I wasn't getting that from other things I had tried. I'm really excited to complete all of the other courses I signed up for with SheCodes!
An amazing introduction into the world of coding. Lessons are set out in an extremely user friendly 3 part format - 'Learn' A video tutorial explaining how something works. 'Challenge' An opportunity to demonstrate what you have just learnt. 'Solution' Explanation of how to solve the challenge. The video tutorials are informative and perfectly timed to ensure that they aren't overwhelming for newbies. Just enough information is provided to allow students to have a clear set up whilst also providing a little extra challenge here and there. Completing the final project has left me really excited and ready to take on the 'SheCodes Plus' workshop next! Huge thank you to Matt and the SheCodes teams! :)
Having two projects helped me to understand better how react works. In this course videos were great to learn as coding was explained from a real time perspective on how a developer would solve bugs. From these videos on my last project I went little beyond the tutorials to try how much I can code independently and this made me understand how much in videos searching for bugs helped. This course was a good introduction to react and looking forward to create more complex projects.
I enyojed this short course, it was great to get a bit more familiar with coding! The videos were good for learning, Matt explained everything and the solution section helped a lot as well. The learning materials were clear and easily understandable, the challanges were super fun and it felt like a little win each time I could complete one.

I very much enjoyed this SheCodes workshop! I liked the way this course was set up, short and understandable video's with many assignments so you can learn by doing. Also very helpful is that there is a Slack group so you can help each other (and get help from instructors) if you are stuck on something. I can't wait to continue with my next SheCodes workshops! π

SheCodes Plus was a great course to take after SheCodes Basics where I got to use what I had previously learnt and develop a greater understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It was challenging at times but the videos and solutions from Matt along with all the support from the rest of the team via Slack meant I was able to complete my weekly homework and for the final project create something better than I could have hoped for.
This was a super fun course to learn from. Matt's videos are well-paced and make it fun and easy to absorb information! I've really enjoyed the journey.
It was a good learning curve. I am glad i can have a look at the classes again as after the course you have lifetime access. Which i am sure there is more i can learn from them video which i didn't pick up straight away. I would recommend this course. Matt goes over things step by step. It's an excellent course, very didactic! Primarily if the person has no prior knowledge of the topics. Even with prior knowledge of HTML and CSS, the course is worth doing due to tips and "hacks" that can streamline coding. I am a designer and mainly enrolled to learn more about javascript to help me better plan my projects and improve my communication with devs. After finishing my final project, I was very proud of what I have learned so far. The the course differential, for me, are the exercises! Because it intercalates with videos, which has the ideal time length, making the learning experience more dynamic.
I have had so much fun for the past 3 weeks with SheCodes Basics! I can't believe how much I have learned in just 3 weeks. I have been working as an IT Service Desk Analyst for 10 years and I was desperately looking for something better. I have been working closely with our development team for the past 2 years. At first, I was so intimidated sitting in their meetings because I didn't understand a thing and I thought you had to be some kind of genius to do that kind of work. Then slowly I began to understand what they were talking about and became familiar with some of the lingo. I started wondering if I could do it too. I tried two other learning programs online and became frustrated and felt defeated. Then I saw an advertisement on a YouTube video for SheCodes and decided to check it out. I'm so glad I did! After watching the free introductory class I knew this was it for me and it would change my life. I signed up for all of the workshops and I can't wait to start SheCodes Plus! The short video lessons are the perfect way for me to learn and I love the challenges, homework, and deadlines! I need structure to keep me on track. I loved learning with shecodes.io! The course is structured in a way that walks you through the materials step by step, by watching detailed videos and practice everything through milestones mini-projects, and a final big project.

I just can't believe that I have been able to complete the SheCodes Plus workshop. It hasn't been easily, but the best thing is that with the videos you can always rewatch whenever you want and as many time as you can so that you can grasp the concept. This is the first time I have ever coded in my life and I was super nervous at first. First of all, React is so scary. Everything is confusing, But when you learn that, You can code easier and enjoy coding more than in the past. So, if it is tricky at first, don't be scared. keep a deep breath, do challenges step by step with lesson videos. Search on slack or google if you need new features, then do it. React is easier and more interesting than you think.
It's been fantastic to learn a new skill which I will definitely consider developing further. SheCodes is presented in a really easy format and allows you to work when suits you. I really like the function on the video's which allows you to adjust the speed at which they playback. The online support provided by slack is a fantastic tool which helps when wanting a solution to move on to the next step at speed.
I loved the course so far, and I will sign up for more. Either to change career path or to use in my current job as a teacher. The learning style suits me very well, short videos and tasks to finish.
This journey was difficult to follow for me because javascript code became so complicated sometimes, but the instruction was really clear in every video., so thank you so much, Matt! He is a great teacher and he teaches us as simple as possible, so even though I confused, I watched the video again and again and found some mistakes that I made or understand the meaning of the code. I would really recommend this to other people who haven't experience this wonderful course.
I enjoyed much all of the challenges, it makes me think and do more research until I get the required result. The video classes are very good and easy to understand. I thought the lessons would be hard but SheCodes made it simpler so a person with no background like me can fully grasp it. I cannot express how much I love Matt's teaching style, each video very clear and not too long, and then the next video building on the concepts you learned before. It meant that even starting with zero knowledge I was able to follow along easily, and quickly got to grips with coding principles - and if I was ever stuck, there was a whole community on Slack to help. I also really liked how SheCodes has a lot of tools you can use, but also how the course taught me how to find the answer elsewhere if I was struggling; useful for any future coding I do! First experience with coding and although at times the videos were quick, a lot of concepts were covered. Overall felt as though the class helped prepare me for experiences that could happen in real life.
Since graduating from college in June, I wasn't sure which path I wanted to take in tech. Thankfully, I saw a SheCodes ad on Youtube. Initially, I was introduced to html/css many years ago when I took 2 online courses at a local college; however, for whatever reason I didn't pursue it. I'm happy to have gotten reintroduced to it by taking the SheCodes basic workshop. I forgot how interesting it was. And since I'm a visual learner, I loved learning by watching videos. It made the material easier to understand and the three weeks flew by. Now I have an idea of which direction I want to take.
I enjoyed working with SheCodes very much. The programming videos were easy to understand and study from, it's a very good method when someone needs extra help or explaining time. The tools provided also expanded my view on coding. Although I wasn't sure a few times where exactly did I stand with my projects there was always somebody willing to help. Altough I sense I made some mistakes in my final project, I can say everything was worth it.
I really enjoyed this course. It was easy to grasp and the bitesize videos with the challenges really helped me put into practice html, CSS and JavaScript. I would 100% recommend SheCodes as it is an incredible tool to elevate your beginner coding skills. 10/10 πππ
This SheCodes Plus was actually not easy as SheCodes basics. I had to repeat the videos so many times until I understood what I did not understand. But I found that the more complicated coding problems were more interesting when you solved them!
SheCodes is great for learning more about HTML and CCS through video lessons and hands-on projects.

I was always so intimidated by coding & web development, it always seemed like an exclusive boys club to get into. Matt made me realize that this is not the case even in the first free introductory class I tuned in to. His videos are super comprehensive & there is an open slack chat as well, these give you all the tools you need to succeed! :)
It has been a fun experience built in a didactive way. I would recommend it to others, especially due to the self-paced aspect. In this way, you can watch multiple videos a day or not watch videos on certain days when you don't have time. Since the videos are short and rarely over 10 minutes long, it is easy to keep the concentration.

I would define this experience as: challenging and fun. There were many moments where I stayed late into the night working on my projects and I don't regret anything. I'm super happy I chose to participate in this workshop! It's amazing how much I learnt in this relative short amount of time. I will definitely continue with the next workshop aswell to deepen my knowledge further. Thanks to Matt's good explanations and the support of his team I could understand complex problems and solve all the tasks without any issues. Another thing I like about the workshop is that we can watch the video tutorials over and over again to refresh our memory about all the techniques we covered.

SheCodes Basic has easy to follow videos, with challenges after each of them. I had fun working on final project, so much so, that I had difficulty of stopping at 2.00 am, after finding the solution for the issue that was bugging me. :)
I really enjoyed the three weeks course and found it a great introduction to the world of coding, which seemed so alien to me before starting. I really like the format of the course, with instruction videos and challenges so that you get to practice the new skill you just learnt. I also appreciated how I could go at my own pace but still had the incentive of a deadline for the homework each week. Having the slack community was also great. Knowing that you are learning together with others can be very motivating.

Great format based on a mix of explanatory videos, challenges to apply everything instantly and homework to really get practical with an awesome community for support - could not recommend more and excited to continue the journey.
Matt was an articulate instructor and very talented at translating scripts into easily digestible concepts. I was able to reinforce my understanding of coding basics quickly--I had not had to write any code in over ten years, and re-learned everything in three weeks, as promised. The coursework was fun and comprehensive, and the videos made it easy to rewatch if I missed anything.
Highly recommended for someone who needs base knowledge and very detailed videos about all the basics

I have always wanted to learn to code but didnt know where to start, I had previously watched youtube videos and read online resources but found that none of them started right at the beginning. I really enjoyed these courses and the satisfaction of learning something new and being able to see my skills develop through the projects

I have really enjoyed learning all new things over the last three weeks. Would defiantly recommend this for anyone looking to learn the basics on coding. This basic course was a good way to get a better understanding of what coding is really about. I really like watching the bite sized videos done by Matt followed by a challenge to test my new found knowledge.
I like the lively presentation - no edited to perfection kind of videos. That helps a lot. Also, rework what is in the video makes it easier to understand where you go wrong if it does not work in your version.
I didn't think I would be able to complete the course, or at least not very well, but the way it is instructed by Matt, and the allowance to take it all in you own time, in small or large chunks is very helpful! The videos make it easy to go back to something you learned before if you get stuck, and the online support system on Slack is amazing. I feel much more confident and better equipped now that I have completed the course! I plan to take more courses with SheCodes now and gain a better future! Thank you so much <3

I'll be honest: I was intimidated by the idea of learning to code for quite some time. I thought that because I am a clinician and work in healthcare, there would be no way that this would click with my background and skills. However, I was super surprised by how much fun I had doing this course! All of the lessons were very easy to absorb without feeling overwhelmed, and I loved that there were so many different ways for me to go back and review different concepts if I was stuck (e.g., videos, examples/models, support from staff, Slack). If any other women in my life ask about where to start with coding, I will be sure to refer them here.
I've always wanted to learn coding but felt it "wasn't for me" because it's such a male-dominated world. SheCodes made it feel accessible and fun! The courses are engaging, well organized and easy to follow, plus the activities and homework really cement your learning of the core concepts (far more effective than just watching a video). I can't wait to learn more!
The pace and examples in this workshop were well-thought-out and clearly demonstrated the goals for each lesson. Written summaries of the content were helpful in looking back and reviewing quickly without having to re-watch videos, and the workflow overall made for a really positive and supportive experience!
Overall I really liked this intro course! I can't believe how much I have learned, and how comfortable I feel coding only after 3 weeks. The video lessons were really well explained and if I had trouble I would look at the SheCodes resources or the slack channel and my questions would get answered pretty easily. Now whenever I'm on any website I right-click inspect to see what else I can learnπ. I'm excited for the next stage!
I have loved completing the first part of the SheCodes course and have learnt more than I thought I would. The way in which you learn by watching videos and then putting into practice what you learn after each section is so easy to follow and really helps you pick things up.
This class was a great introduction to the world of coding and served as a sampler for me without committing before I was sure I wanted to explore this field. The videos were digestible, the homework helped cement the foundations of the coding languages we explored and the project was challenging enough to keep me engaged until the end.
This was tough especially being hard of hearing and able to have access to subtitle to the video (Thanks to Google Chrome setting)! I enjoyed this so far just wish it was a little more structure but I do hope the next workshop will be little more fun to go on. But overall, I enjoyed this opportunity to gain my skillset in the tech industry now.

With other courses I had a hard time understanding the basics of coding frankly it scare me until SheCodes and it was so much fun , lessons are short and clear and the best part was if i did not understand well i could play the video again and again! Feeling like wonder woman after having coded my own website from scratch. This was a great intro into responsive web-design, would highly recommend to anyone considering looking to further polish their HTML/CSS skills. The videos were great and very detailed and not only cover coding skills but go into some of the more practical details as well.
