I had a great time learning the Basics. The videos were brief and understandable, with challenges that boosted my confidence and skills
This was the hardest one yet but I really enjoyed all the homework more especially the project. It was one of those "Omg did I really do that", Matt as usual explains everything so clearly you just have to focus and go back to a lesson video if you're confused but more often than not your answer lies in rewatching the lessons.
I think the video tutorials and the extra resources like the CSS generator tools etc. are absolutely wonderful!
This course has been an incredible learning experience. The detailed videos and step-by-step instructions made complex concepts easy to understand. The beginner projects were particularly impressive, as they looked advanced and gave me a sense of accomplishment. Overall, it was a great course that provided valuable knowledge and practical skills.
I highly enjoyed this course because it helps to expand my knowledge in JavaScript and it is a good experience for me. We built an interesting project for Meteo App that can be good example of JavaScript functions in real use. Our teacher prepares great video tutorials which were instrumental using in our daily projects. I am glad I took it and hope to take another in the near future.

I like the program because of videos and the exercises we have to do. But because of my ADHD status it is hard for me at times to understand what is being taught. One thing for sure is that i have gotten way farther than watching YouTube and Tik-Tok videos.

I really loved this course! I come from a fashion background and have never done coding or anything tech related but it's something I've wanted to try for a while. Before discovering SheCodes, I looked into coding courses held at university institutions which are quite expensive. A lot of them were short courses and diplomas within Computer Science, Programming and Data Analytics which required additional years of studying, prerequisites in math (which is not my strong suit) and high tuition fees. This was discouraging as they didn't fit into my schedule and I didn't want to run the risk of paying high tuition fees on a course without truly knowing whether I'd enjoy it. The SheCodes Basics course was an easy and affordable way for me to decipher whether I would actually enjoy coding without committing to a full course which can be expensive and with the risk that I might not even enjoy it. As a first time coder, there were some challenges but nothing I couldn't resolve on my own and overall I had a lot of fun so I'm excited to continue my learning! I found Matt's video tutorials were engaging and easy to follow and I appreciate that he encourages you to look up solutions to issues you may encounter online - there are lots of resources! His teaching style suited my learning style with lots of guidance along the way.
Loved working on this project! As always easy to follow instruction videos, hands-on and it`s amazing what I`ve learned through the workshop. Imagine making a fully functioning weather app, knowing almost nothing about code only a few months back.
Learning React was a bit more challenging than everything else I had learned, but I pushed through it with determination. The videos provided were incredibly helpful, guiding me through each step and reiterating what I had learned. This repetition made it easier to follow along and understand the concepts over time. Eventually, I found myself becoming more comfortable with React, and it started to make more sense. I am truly grateful for the easy-to-follow videos that were provided throughout this journey. I started SheCodes about a month ago with zero coding experience. The videos and challenges make it really easy to learn. I especially enjoyed the final project for the Basics Workshop because it allowed me to apply all of the concepts I learned in the first few weeks.

This particular workshop was very challenging. The good news is the videos and the projects are there for me to try my hands on again. My main challenge has to do with figuring out the javascript functions and calling of the functions.
The workshops are thought out well. Matt is a good instructor and his videos are thorough with good examples. I have tried many video based courses to assist with becoming a web developer but I find myself losing interest. I like the fact there are due dates with the homework assignments and projects. That keeps me more focused and willing to stay motivated.
I found the AI add-on very helpful. As always, the videos were clear and easy to follow, slack is available for extra help. I found the prompt engineering and the user experience areas especially interesting.
It was a great introduction to python. The complex concepts were made simple and clear through the instructional videos and exercises. This course created a great foundation upon which I will continue building.

I enjoyed this program so much especially as someone who had no idea about coding. The step-by-step tutorials made everything better because if I didn't understand anything I could watch the videos as many times as I would like. I felt that the Python Advanced course was well organized, clear, and the final project helped solidify what I was doing. For me, I learn best when trying something on my own, so I liked that the format of the course let me build the project on my own, but then follow along with the instructional videos to help me understand how to improve my code.

The videos are short and straight to the point. I got a lot of value from this course and it showed me real world application of certain concepts in JavaScript. I was also really happy that I got introduced to APIs for the first time. I would definitely recommend this course to others.

It made the learning process so straightforward and digestible, and I appreciated that the challenges for each workshop were different applications of what Matt had run through in the video. It made you have to think about how to apply the concepts a little bit deeper, and I found it was easier to retain that way. I can't recommend this enough, and I'll be continuing to progress through the SheCodes programme.
The SheCodes Basics Add-on videos are straightforward to understand. The concepts are easier to grasp than reading the concepts in a book or watching videos on YouTube. The learning is more streamlined.
I am LOVING this course, I have tried few free online workshops/trail periods and I couldn't connect with them however with SheCodes, I enjoy the videos and then the challenges really gives you a chance to put into practice what you have been taught. The React Workshop was definitely challenging to complete, but I did it. There were many moments of struggle but thanks to Matt who explained everything to understand the steps better, even if I had to rewatch videos again for clearer understanding. He surely taught me a lot, which I am pleased and thankful about. Working on the project was interesting especially while implementing more advanced things into it on the way. SheCodes is easily one of the best platforms for learning coding. I thought coding was hard, but SheCodes makes it easy to learn with its challenges and videos.
I definitely recommend this workshop, if the coding career - like in my case, has been calling you. The lessons are split into short videos, easy to follow and you can test yourself as you go with challenges afterwards. You are a part of community and in case you get stuck you can post your questions on the platform or you can use an AI assistant, which was proved to be very helpful. Coding is very fun and creative, I can't wait to start the next level already!

I felt the course was well thought out. There was a good balance between making sure the basics are well understood without making it too repetitive for those with experience in other programming languages. I like to look at the summary of the project first, build it and then watch the step by step videos. I find I learn better that way, and the format of this course allows us to do that if we want.

I highly recommend SheCodes for women who want to learn computer coding.

I didn't know anything about coding and the world of websites, html, css, and java script, and I had only heard that they are used in website design. After completing the basic shecode course, the concepts have completely settled in my mind and I enjoyed learning them a lot - it was a comprehensive course. Both in terms of questions and slack groups and Mr. mac's videos and the whole shecoded platform. In the end of each week project section and its timing and The challenges helped me a lot in understanding and learning and it is a world away from watching videos on YouTube!

I had a great time working on this course. I initially switched to React but needed to come back to complete it. The saying "practice makes perfect" holds true for coding. After taking a short break, I could jump back into the course without feeling lost. I must admit that the videos and support provided are excellent.

I have always loved the SheCodes courses and I will never provide less than a 3 because this might be the only site that provides a lesson and homework and that works best for my learning style but I wasn't super impressed with this course. The final project was fully provided. I looked at multiple students solutions available through slack and besides a few extra comments, it was exactly like the answer provided in the video. While I might have understood the content more after watching each video, there wasn't room for figuring it out on our own. There are also mistakes throughout the course and notes that aren't relevant to that particular content. I feel like this was thrown together because people had been asking for a python course but you can tell from previous courses and certain references to material in this course that Matt is super knowledgeable in Java and also lacks in his python skills.
What a great course! I must admit, Python Advanced was more difficult than I was expecting, but the structure and freedom of the lesson plans allow you to go back, re-watch the videos and practice your coding until it sinks in. Big thanks to Matt and the SheCodes team as ever!
Thank you so much for this excellent introduction to React. I found this course challenging but very rewarding, and I would definitely recommend it to others. Using a different API (SheCodes Weather API) from the one shown in the videos made the learning curve steeper, but I appreciate that because we had to think for ourselves - like we will in the real world. I decided not to follow Matt's coding/file structure on the videos exactly, implementing my own ideas and trying to find solutions by myself. This meant I felt blocked a few times, but the support available on Slack is incredible. Thank you!

Great first time experience of coding. Even if I didn't have many capacities, I could follow the videos easily despite long breaks inbetween and I was able to finish the course eventually :)!
