I love to learn. With a deep desire to learn how to code, I went through many different websites, applications and different methods of learning in an attempt to learn how to code. With so many different directions to take, unsure of which way to follow, I tried them all and as many as I could. I was exhausted and overwhelmed when I stumbled upon the SheCodes ad on a YouTube video. After the free course, I already felt I was ready to code! I took it a step further and tried the first workshop. Now I can code, I know what road to take and I never felt more confident! Matt truly has a talent for teaching and a way of getting the point across while still making it possible to understand the never-ending information coding entails. This course was very challenging for me so I am thankful I had the help of João throughout as well as watch the videos as many times as needed to help me understand the information. I am happy I took this course to open my eyes more into the tech world and coding languages!

I really enjoyed the practical set-up of the SheCodes workshop. The videos combined with the practical assignments kept me focused. The short assignments are a great way to instantly put into practice what you just learned. It also kept me motivated as you see your own progress on the spot. The videos are very clear and the option to fast forward is very helpful if you want to rewatch a specific section.

Wow, at first; I never thought or imagined I could get to this stage. Coding is interesting when you give you mind and commitment to it. I am inspired to continue learning. With Shecodes.io learning is fun and interesting. I was never bored! Each lessons what properly explained with good videos. I discovered SheCodes on Instagram and I am very positively impressed. Matt explains in the videos exactly what to do and if you get stuck you get help. I find that very cool. Creating my project was also a lot of fun. - thank you very much! I highly recommend this workshop.

SheCodes Plus was an incredible roller-coaster ride, with ups and downs and full of excitement. I had a lot of fun (and got frustrated on occasions) going through the lessons and looking for solutions on Slack and other sources. Matt's videos are an excellent guide and the tech support goes above and beyond: João is a saint! Can't wait to start with SheCodes React!

As usual, love SheCodes courses. Great content for the money, simple videos, easy to follow, even from someone with little experience in coding. Good support from the team, always available to answer your questions. HIGHLY recommend it! :)

I had been thinking quite a lot about starting to learn how to code but didn't really get into it with the books and courses I had. Finding SheCodes was the best that could have happened to me. I so much enjoyed learning step by step the basics with the videos and challenges. Everything was easy to follow but still challenging. A great mix. Can't wait to start with the next course and dive further into the world of coding. Thank you Matt and the SheCodes Team for this amazing opportunity.

This basic coding course is highly enjoyable and easy to follow. The video lectures provide a logical step by step guide to the topics and Matt's unique recordings provide a personal touch that is relatable and welcoming. Immediately being able to use your new knowledge and see the results feels very rewarding and satisfying, and encourages further research and learning.

SheCodes (& the SheCodes team) allowed me to explore programming starting at level 0. I have no formal experience and was very scared to begin and continue the other workshops. But Matt is very good at explaining and the way the videoes are cut and made is perfect for online learning.The team is supportive and responds quickly to questions & the community jumps in to help too. i was too stubborn to use them for help during the first course, but the SheCodes cominuty have been a lifeline during this workshop. im excited to start on my final workshop soon!

I've enjoyed it! There is a lot of supporting materials I could use, lessons are easy and I can always watch the video one more time in case I need a recap, so I am never behind with anything! 👍

After years of planning to learn how to code I've finally started doing it. And it's all because of SheCodes! I loved the introductory video which explained everything in such a simple way that it gave me a feeling that I can totally do it. And here I am. I've just finished the SheCodes Plus and I feel hungry for more. All the workshop is so well planned, very detailed explanatory videos and the challenges was just the right thing for me to start learning how to code. And I know that I won't stop here.

This is a great course. I did the SheCodes Basics 3 week course and I've enjoyed every minute of it! Matt explains things really well in the videos, and the challenges and homework are really good for checking your understanding. I'm looking forward to doing more SheCodes courses.

Learning Javascript was very challenging, but the step-by-step videos with Matt demystify the entire process and even made it a lot of fun going through the lessons. It is mandatory to dedicate a few hours of practice.

This course was challenging in the best way possible. I have learnt so much and enjoyed it thoroughly. The videos are easy to follow and very detailed.

I tried the "going it alone" route by watching Youtube videos and became immediately overwhelmed and confused. After seeing the SheCodes ads while watching videos, I clicked on the ad and decided to try out the Free Coding Class that SheCodes offers. And I am so glad I did. I needed structure and community in order to learn how to code and Matt was the perfect instructor. He "decoded" coding for me and I realized this isn't just a phase - I really enjoy coding and I am looking forward to taking the next classes so I can continue to develop this new skillset. SheCodes lessons are super easy to follow and super well explained. The division of the lessons is super logical and the challenges available after each video helps to put in practice what was learned. The support available behind this workshop is flawless. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to learn how to code.

After completing the first workshop, SheCodes + was a great addition! It was challenging at times but helped me get a deeper understanding of HTML, CSS and JS. I surely learned a lot! The course is perfectly organized, allowing me to come back to specific videos whenever I need it which is great. I'm excited to keep learning and definitely motivated to enroll to the other SheCodes workshops!

I really enjoyed the workshop and the format in which it's taught. The content and length of the videos made working through the course really manageable to fit in to the rest of your day. This format made studying with a baby at home far less scary than it sounds! I found myself always happy to watch the next video and complete the next challenge, even when tired after a long day. Videos were engaging and challenges were fun. Cannot wait to continue on with SheCodes.

SheCodes is an amazing course! The videos are very informative, in a step by step way that allows you to practice and apply every new skill. You can easily adapt the pace of your learning and build your own schedule. There are many resources available and great support from the SheCodes team and the SheCodes community. I really enjoyed getting to know react. the course is well built and very well maintained. The videos take you step by step giving all relevant information. I do wish the course was longer and had more react tools and gave more than just the base.

SheCodes is a really great course for whoever wants to start from the basics of coding. The videos are really informative and take you step by step in learning all the techniques of the different coding languages. Even though this is an online course, all resources are at the students' disposal every time we get stuck while studying.

The workshop is awesome if you want to dive into the world of a coder and have no experience at all. I really enjoyed all the little videos and tasks and it really made me understand a lot of things that coders say, which i didn't understand before. Thanks for this awesome opportunity.

I really enjoyed SheCodes Basics as an introduction to coding. I found the videos easy to follow and the challenges interesting and a helpful way of checking in with what you have learnt.

I really LOVED taking the SheCodes React course! It gave me all the tools I needed to build an app from the beginning to the end, using everything I learned in SheCodes Basics and Plus, in addition to learning how to streamline all my code in React. I love this method of learning, with Matt's videos in which he explains and shows the whole process, and also the challenges and homeworks, that allowed me to practice and learn, and also prepared me to the final project. I'm looking forward to getting on SheCodes Responsive!

SheCodes Plus built on what I learned in the initial class. It was a really great transition and helped me hone the skills I had while adding extra layers of complexity. I especially enjoyed learning the API integration and it made me more comfortable in JavaScript when developing functions and sorting through arrays. Matt's videos are great and the SheCodes team is phenomenal at answering questions and helping you work through issues.

It was a fun way to lean to code. The videos explained everything very well and the challenges encouraged to find creative solutions. The resources were well prepared.

I had a little experience with HTML before I took this course. Now I can comfortably code and I understand the concepts a lot more than before I took this Workshop . SheCodes Plus has been extremely challenging but very rewarding. I'm amazed by how far I've come and, without the clear video instructions, encouragement and homework to keep me up to speed, I doubt I would ever have achieved what I have in such a short space of time. I have really enjoyed the SheCodes Plus course. I think that it is really well structured and it allows you to learn comfortably at your own pace with weekly deadlines to keep you on track. The videos are very clear and easy to follow and it's pretty incredible how much you learn in such a short space of time and on one project. Definitely a good springboard to start from!

Learned some great stuff in only three weeks! Works perfect with the online video's & Slack support. I can highly recommend it.

This course was truly a challenge, but well worth it when I tackled a problem! The help options are wonderful and I found myself understanding the fundamentals easily thanks to the in-depth instructions videos. I have learned a new skill and cannot wait to keep coding!

I am really glad I took Shecodes 👩🏾‍💻 instead of self-learning. Learning the basics through a guided video as well as having support from the Shecodes team and classmates really helped 🤝🏽when I was confused 😵. And for all those who are terrified of coding because you think math ➗➕ is involved... it's not (or at least not at this level). Like anything else, it's just a new language that needs to be learned and understood. If you have the time ⌚, I would recommend taking the workshops given. Recently, I go on my websites as usual, but now I start to the different elements behind the scenes. These workshops have really opened up my mind to a new computerized world.

I really enjoyed this course, the way the lessons are split into fast, straight to the point videos is great! Also, having challenges and a project to work on is extremely helpful for people that "learn by doing".

I have thoroughly enjoyed the SheCodes course. It has been challenging, and exciting to learn something new. Video content was easy to follow, videos were done at a good pace - not to fast, not too slow. Good amount of content each week to be able to juggle work and family life and still complete on time!

My co-worker recommended this workshop, and it was a great introduction to coding. The videos were not too long or overwhelming for beginners.

I was looking for a course that eased me into the world of coding and the SheCodes basics course was the perfect thing. The videos were easy to understand without doing any handholding and allowed me to both get a good grasp and be self sufficient at the same time.

I have always picked up new systems very easy so thought why not try coding. I do not regret it! It has been great to learn, be challenged and create. Matt explains everything very clear and if you are ever in doubt or get stuck, there are numerous hint and tips in every video and you have a great community that can help you! It is an amazing feeling when you finish your final project and realise what you are now capable of! 🤩

I chose to do a SheCodes Basic course because I am interested in a career change. Since I had never coded before I was a complete beginner but quickly picked up what was taught in class. I like how you can slow down the teaching videos when you're learning something new if it's very complicated. Very proud of myself for having completed this course and for everything that I've learned.

I did three courses with SheCodes the beginner’s workshop, the shecodes plus and shecodes react. I enjoyed the fact that the short videos were easy to understand , the knowledge shared was up to date and the questions were always answered within hours. This made the learning experience easier and more accessible to everyone even those who don’t have any coding background. Thank you :)

Would definitely recommend to people that are brand new to coding, Matt goes everything in a very detailed manner that doesn't overwhelm you. The videos are easy to follow along to and courses can be done at anytime which provides great flexibility. The only things I didn't like was having to do the first two lessons on codepen and then switching to VS Code for projects after and having the CSS and JS done within the HTML file (but I am sure that it's like that so the team can grade things easier).

Loved doing the course, the videos are very informative and Joao was so helpful on Slack! The slack community was so valuable throughout, super happy with what I've learned.

I have never thought that it could be so easy to learn coding! During my quarantine, I decided to develop myself to make a career change which I have alwasy wanted. I stumbled upon SheCodes after a quick research. I've learned the basics of HTML, CSS and Javascript. Matt's way of teaching makes it a lot easier to a complete beginner to understand. SheCodes is not offering just videos to watch! The fact that there are challenges following each lesson enables you to practice what you've just learned. I am really thankful to Matt and to the whole SheCodes team! For sure, I will continue with SheCodes plus because it is so much fun and the satisfaction of coding and creating is inexplicable. 😀

I started with a beginners course out of curiosity. Coding is something really far out from the type of work I do right now, but I wanted to see if this is something I could enjoy doing. The videos and the assignments are fun and easy, which kept me motivated and interested in learning further :).

It's such a big joy when you see the computer doing what you instruct it to do! I enjoyed this workshop a lot: the mini-videos help you understand coding step by step, so it's not scary anymore. It gets easier and funnier!

Equally challenging and rewarding course, I really like the structure, the videos and what a great project to finish with! At times, Lacking sometimes in basic knowledge and theory when it came to JS, but overall very good :)

Wow is where I can begin regarding SheCodes courses. Matt is hilarious - I found myself frequently bursting out in laughter while listening to his lectures. His lectures were also clear, concise, inspirational/motivational, delivered at the perfect pace, and it was very insightful to see how he problem solved in the videos itself. Initially learning to code was quite challenging and stressful..but as I completed each course on SheCodes, my perspective changed to see coding as long-game that is feasible as long as I am persistent in my efforts. The Technical Assistant on slack, Joao was very helpful and prompt to respond. The participating students raised a lot of great questions that I learned from. Other team members I had the pleasure of connecting with - Lexi/Sara were also very helpful. THANK YOU SheCodes!

SheCodes was such a worthwhile and interesting experience. I wanted to develop a new technical skill and was just drawn to coding... but wasn't confident that I had the chops for it, because I see so few women in tech fields. I checked out other courses but felt left behind pretty much before I'd started. And then being a full-time professional, I was worried I might not have the bandwidth to give to a coding class. So I thought I had too many obstacles. When I took the free SheCodes class I immediately liked Matt's style and felt at home on the site; the way the modules were broken up made it easy to digest new techniques throughout the week. It turned out to be pretty easy to integrate into my life and I really looked forward to each video. I know there's so much to learn but I think I got off to the best start with SheCodes Basics.

The workshop "Basics" was great! I enjoyed having short exercises after each video to apply what I'd just learned and having to solve a bigger challenge at the end of each week.

I thoroughly enjoyed the workshop and the videos were clear and easy to follow - as promised, it is definitely beginner-friendly! The challenges after each lesson provided good opportunities to cement my learning and their incremental difficulty through the lessons helped smoothen the learning curve. I appreciated how there was always help available to troubleshoot my work through the Slack Channel as it can be difficult to spot your own mistakes especially after staring at the code for really long!

I was always curious about coding but never knew where to start. SheCodes made it easy to follow and learn with their lessons and videos!

I started off as a beginner, with absolutely no knowledge on how to code. After doing the first three week workshop I now know how to code a bit. I love how you can complete assignments at your own pace but still meet a deadline. Matt literally breaks it down in his videos, step by step making it super easy to learn. I am now excited to move on to SheCodes Plus!

This review is a contrast to the review of the first Shecodes course. Overall, I really struggled with this course. For me, it felt like a massive step-up and I am not sure I made it. I have submitted a very basic and flawed final project which I aim to keeping working on. I felt many of the JS topics were rushed and too advanced for me as my only experience was that provided in the first certificate experience . Everyone else seems to have swam through theirs with ease. So, I think working full-time, being a parent and being older than most in the cohort has not helped! I regret to say this will be the last of my Shecodes experience as I really struggled with holding onto and applying the learning provided. Good luck but definitely be prepared to watch those videos several times.

The coding in this course got a lot more difficult, but I found that I was able to retain the information a lot better than I thought I was able to when watching the videos. I highly recommend this course and I'm looking forward to the React workshop!

So i loved the videos but I wish that it were a bit more self-paced. I feel like I really struggled to learn the if/else statements and wanted more time to focus on learning them.

I have gained useful insights on how to build a webpage using CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. I would highly recommend SheCodes, because it is easy and fun to learn, unlike other coding courses where there are longer videos and multiple-choice tests.

Loved the process of learning something new. It was challenging at times trying to figure out how to make something work, but with the help of the team and the videos that Matt had provided for us was amazing help. Can't wait for the next step

This introduction to coding was a great training for the absolute beginner, I was. The videos are explaining HTML, CSS, and JAVASCRIPT functionalities very clearly concise and easy to digest. It really increased my interest for coding even though there were a lot of try-and-errors. It is just amazing to realize what you can do even with some simple code!

All I can say about this workshop is WOWZERS!😲 I didn't realize until now that the baseline languages I've been learning in college(C++,Python,Etc) is like a quick start to knowing just about all of them. I didn't expect to catch on as quick as I did, but it happened and its all thanks to workshop! I really appreciate the assistance from the tutors and videos. Its showed me that I'm capable of way more than I know when it comes to coding now more than ever!😊😊😊

I really love taking the SheCodes workshop! The lessons are easy to follow and the community on Slack was super helpful. Although I am new to coding the lessons didn't feel overwhelming because they were broken down into videos 15 minutes or less.
