My first coding course on sheCodes has been an amazing experience. I had never thought that I would like and enjoy coding so much. The structure of the classes is very well-organized and the videos are super well-explained. I'm super excited to continue to the next level!
The SheCodes introduction workshop is easy and fun to follow. The videos have great quality. It is also great that not everything is given through each lesson, and research must be done. Also, having a feedback on the homeworks is truly useful.
SheCodes offers a great first experience with coding. The videos are short and easy to follow which makes the training really enjoyable.

Great course for building on the initial Workshop and pushing your coding boundaries. Videos were great, and I liked the support that was given on Slack, as things are not handed to you and sometimes you need help to put all the information together.
I'd long been curious about exploring the world of coding but didn't know where to start or if I was even capable of learning how to code. Two weeks ago, I noticed an ad for one of the Express Classes and registered on a whim, taking it as a sign that my time to start coding was here and now. After that, I immediately enrolled in the Introductory Workshop, and I'm so glad I did. SheCodes has nailed it with a formula of easy-to-follow instructional videos, challenges, and solutions, making coding accessible and fun. Each lesson kept me engaged and excited to proceed. I realized how much I looked forward to coming home from work and continuing my lessons. I truly enjoyed building my final project and applying all of the concepts to create my very first landing page using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I think it's safe to say that I've discovered a new passion for coding and look forward to learning more when I enroll in SheCodes Plus React!
I have always been super fascinated by coding but didn't think it was something I'd ever be able to learn. After signing up for SheCodes... I was SO wrong! Following along with the videos and then practicing right afterwards was great for retention purposes - coding and designing a landing page (especially the weather app exercise - that blew my mind) was great for confidence purposes!!! There is so much more creativity to the craft than I thought before, and I'm looking forward to continuing my coding journey :)

The course helped me get a better understanding of coding elements but sometimes I felt as though the videos could have explained more what was to come in the challenges. It's also unclear what makes the workshop specifically directed toward women.

I learned loads, I still cannot believe I have created a fully functional app all by myself!!! I was worried the online course would not be sufficient or lack support, but I am pleased to confirm this was not at all the case. The videos/tutorials are very clear and I am very thankful to Matt and the team (overall Joรฃo) for all the assistance throughout the course!! Coming into the workshop I had no prior experience at all, but Matt made it easy to understand each lesson. Working full-time, it is hard to find courses that fit your schedule but SheCodes is different, you can watch the videos on your own time. Would definitely recommend it!

After taking the Free Coding Class, I knew I had to enroll in the SheCodes Workshop right away. I never thought of coding as an option for me, but having the free class to see what it's all about was super helpful. I would have never dreamed I'd have so much fun learning these new skills! SheCodes plus was a great experience! I loved putting my basic HTML skills to the test and improving on those skills. Working full time and then coming home to be a full time mom, SheCodes let me learn at my own pace. The videos are easy to follow and Matt explains everything in a way that writing, reading, and understanding code is almost second nature now. For anyone looking to expand on their currently knowledge or picking up so new mad skills, I would 1000% recommend SheCodes! I can't wait to start my next course!

Bite-sized information through videos which were really easy and clear to understand. Love that we had small challenges to complete after each lesson and that helped to reinforce the learning in me. Being able to clear the lessons and homework in my own time within the week instead of in a particular day was also helpful as I could learn at my own pace, which would have otherwise dampened my motivation. :)
This class is so much fun. It's great that you can go through the videos and watch them again. Coding feels like an endless logic puzzle, and Matt is a fabulous instructor. He really takes his time moving through the steps and building the blocks of knowledge for you.
This class was a good starting point for beginners and people working a full time schedule. Class videos were quick and most information needed to complete challenges was given to you. The key to understand and learn how to code is to build it yourself, instead of copying and pasting. It was rewarding seeing my work come to life and also problem solve all of my errors on my own.
I found this workshop so interesting and engaging! Before I started I had no experience in coding, so I was very apprehensive to enroll. I'm so happy that I signed up because now I'm confident with using the basic coding languages! The videos are so easy to follow along and the challenges at the end of each lesson are great to check your understanding of the topics. The SheCodes team on Slack were so helpful too! Matt was such a great teacher and all of the videos were easy to follow. He also makes sure to not teach every single thing so that you have to do a bit of research and messing around to figure things out. Also loved how helpful the Slack channel was and never felt put off to ask questions in there
I was always intrigued by the world of coding, but it looked so hard to learn. I took the free workshop kind of as a joke because I never thought I could learn such a complex language. But then once I saw how Matt taught, I realized I might be able to do it! I absolutely loved everything about how this course was taught. The step-by-step videos, the little tasks at the end of each topic, and the breakdown of coding was so helpful. This was the perfect next step after SheCodes Plus, I feel like I expanded my knowledge and was able to get more comfortable with coding in general in addition to experiencing a great introduction to React. Overall the structure of the class is really easy to follow, the videos are just long enough to show the concepts but not so long as to be overwhelming and Matt is great at explaining things in a comprehensive and accessible way. I can't wait to learn even more and I hope to be able to break into a tech career soon using the knowledge I gained from all my SheCodes classes!
SheCodes has really been wonderful and approachable. I have enjoyed learning and having the support and encouragement from the Slack Group. SheCodes is the best! I began as a novice with the intro to coding class and quickly fell in love with coding through Matt's easy-to-follow videos and Joao's helpful support on challenges and homework. After graduating from the intro workshop, I immediately enrolled in SheCodes Plus and then SheCodes React. Improving my coding literacy and building the weather app project from scratch has been such an empowering experience. If the SheCodes team ever offers courses on any other coding languages, I will be first in line to sign up!
This course is definitely a great start for me to step into the coding world. The tutorial is easy to understand so it helps me to constantly build up my confidence. I like there is always a challenge after the tutorial video so I do have an opportunity to practice what I have just learned! I would recommend giving a try if you're interested in coding :)
Really loved this workshop! Matt's videos were simple and concise and very informative without giving that feeling of being overwhelmed. The workshop itself was a reasonable price. There were certain "challenges" that were definitely challenges and google becomes your friend, personally I would do a quick google search and MDN offers a solution but rarely a well explain explanation, here comes SLACK. It was a great place for all of us to bounce our ideas off one another and ask for help for challenges, homework, and the project. Very helpful! There's a sense of pride whenever you complete a challenge or homework and I love that. Coding is also very impressive to those who aren't at all into the world of coding, so to show someone your entire code they're completely floored by it all haha! Would recommend this course to anyone interested in coding.
After completing the 3 week introductory course with SheCodes, I couldn't wait to carry on coding with SheCodes Plus. Overall such an excellent & well thought out course that is really enjoyable, challenging, and without a doubt extremely rewarding! I have learnt so much in a short amount of time and I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to do the same. In SheCodes plus I began to realise the power of what a few lines of code can really do in JavaScript! It is a jump up from the introductory course for sure, but as always the support is amazing. Slack is used through out the course as a way to ask questions with other students and the SheCodes team. I would higly recommend this workshop as the videos explain everything one would need to know for their introduction into coding. I was quite intimidated by this field but always wanted to try it out and ended up enjoying it so much I would keep learning and challenge myself for more!

This workshop is amazing! The learning structure is very easy to follow with very well paced video tutorials that explain everything step by step and challenges that make you replicate the tutorials to really instill the knowledge in you. Support is there 24/7 if you need it and the coding is taught in a really fun way, I would definitely recommend to anyone, you don't even need that much time set aside for it.
I loved my first 3 weeks! I didn't have any experience or background in this field. It's not easy but not boring, and this is what I was looking for! Matt's videos are great, not going to lie I had to watch them more than once ha!! I would love to keep going and take the next step with SheCodes!
My background is in Psychology, project management and psychometric tests and I've always been interested in technology, especially with everything going digital in our current climate. I thought I'd give SheCodes a go, as I've tried other free courses on other sites but it wasn't as interactive and I couldn't get help when I needed. With SheCodes, everything is at your own pace as the videos are bite-sized and you can go back if you need to. However, the homework keeps you accountable. I enjoyed doing the challenges as I prefer learning by doing. The staff and fellow students are really friendly and helpful if you are stuck. Coding might seem scary at first, but it really isn't! If you've been thinking about learning to code, go for this course, it's a great way to learn and build your skillset!
Shecodes introduction to coding was great! All the videos and challenges make it easy to digest and to apply in your project, the format is really good, I would recommend it to anyone that is looking to get the web development basics. Can't wait to start the other workshops ๐
I've never considered myself to be a "computer person". My dad is a Computer Engineer and growing up I admired that but only from at a distance. In my early 20's I dropped out of a traditional 4yr college and began my journey into Cosmetology. Once I passed my state board certifications I worked in several salons and I even got a part-time job as a banquet server. Soon I realized that I did not want to be a hairstylist but instead I pursued Hospitality and that's where I made my career over the past 10yrs. In March I was put on furlough for what my company said would only be 2 months. 2 months came and went and to this day I still do not know when or if I will ever return to my previous job. I started to think that I needed to change my career and did a lot of soul searching over the past few months. After narrowing down my search I decided to take a chance and start some coding classes. These first classes were very basic and less than stimulating but they made my brain work in a different way and it was challenging for me which is something that I have been longing to experience since being furloughed. I watched video after video and found that I did not like the lack of structure and that I knew I could benefit from some curriculum to follow as well. As I was scrolling through Facebook (thanks cookies!) an add for SheCodes came across my screen and I applied shortly after. These past 3 weeks have been challenging, fun and have made me feel like there will be a new future for me.
Joining SheCodes during the pandemic turned out to be a great idea. REACT is definitely a complicated language but, with the expertise of Matt's videos and the online community built around the program, it's been a fun way to learn something new. Completing all 3 programs has been quite the task but, I am stoked to finish and excited to see where this new found skill takes me.
I enjoyed following this 3 weeks course and for me it was a great way to fresh up my coding-memory. The course is very well structured with easy to follow video's and I can highly recommend it to anyone!

The workshop was very well structured with helpful step-by-step videos, available resources, tips, and a very interactive chat platform when help was needed. I have a much better understanding of how these codes are formatted and structured and can't wait to advance further in the future.
It was a lot of fun these past three weeks and I highly recommend this workshop for women who are not sure where to start. The videos are fun and easily able to follow. I had zero experience coming into this workshop and I loved every minute of it. It was not overwhelming, the support system is amazing and because of it I was able to complete the assignments and enjoy making them along the way. ๐

SheCodes was very hands on. In the challenges and homework, the lesson videos gave enough insight to complete most of what was required but it also pushed me to find some solutions on my own either in the slack community or through google.
The various challenges and homework assignments were set up in a good sequence. I found the videos very helpful to learn from. Overall, I feel like the intro course covered a lot in three weeks and did it without being overwhelming!
It was an amazing course! Enjoyed every single video and challenge. A 3 week course that I've finished in less than 2, even without much time to spend on. I was looking for developing a new skill during lockdown when an ad for SheCodes popped up. The design was pretty cool and the video was interesting so I kept on watching. 30mins later I signed up for the Plus React workshop and have not looked back! The lessons are the perfect length with small challenges after so you are applying what you've just learned immediately. The introductory workshop made it fun and interesting and I am looking forward to continue learning. ๐ค

I definitely recommend this to total beginners, and people who are foreign to the world of coding. Matt was very clear and explained everything step by step in the videos, which was great. The challenges provided a good mechanism to practice the learning. I also love how I was able to fit this workshop around my schedule. One feedback I have is that the challenges could have been a bit harder and longer to really improve learning. But other than that, I really recommend this!
SheCodes Plus makes it very easy and interesting to learn JavaScript. I really liked the format with several short videos, each directed to a specific topic. This makes it much easier to keep focus, instead of being bored in a long and dull lecture or being "bombarded" with several subjects at once. After finishing the project, I feel prepared to take on new challenges and start a career in tech, thank you SheCodes!
I think SheCodes has been really insightful to the Coding world. Matt is really good at demonstrating through the videos, and in a very simple easy way to understand.

SheCodes Plus was definitely an intense journey! Even though I struggled sometimes, it was always possible to find help and to deliver what was expected. Matt's videos are extremely enlightening, Joรฃo is a lifesaver on Slack and the rest of the team is always helpful. And during these 8 weeks it was always possible to learn with the other students, which is amazing! I had a great time, I learned and I can't wait for the challenges ahead!
SheCodes has been fun and informative. I look forward to learning more. I paid for the entire workshop and after 3 weeks I still don't regret it and I don't think I ever will. The instructors get back to you super quickly if you have any questions. Matt is very clear in his videos and I find that he sets you up for success by offering plenty of resources.
First of all - what an adventure going from JS to now learning React! It was a great learning path, and I loved the video's in 'SheCodes React Final Project' - it truly brings everything together. One thing I would love to see though is a tutorial video of how to apply the 'my current location button' - like we did in Shecodes plus. However,I highly recommend everyone doing SheCodes React, it's great final course to the bootcamp. Excited to continue my learning path in coding and use new skills and knowledge.
SheCode's community is great! Matt's bite-sized videos really keep you motivated to continue learning and coding. The workshop is addictive! I was addicted to the videos and the challenges and homeworks. You never feel alone because you have assistance on Slack and if you have any doubts someone will be there to help you. Matt explains in a simply way so you can understand. I felt that I really learn something usefull. I recommend this workshop :)

I found the pace of the curriculum to be a perfect fit for me. I like that I can re-watch videos or run through the assignments faster if I feel like I can. A fun introduction to front-end coding, I look forward to learning more! 4/5 stars because I think the learning platform design could be improved to make finding things more intuitive for the user.

Who knew coding was this much fun?! Matt is a really good instructor, he anticipates the mistakes you're going to make and the videos are short and to the point so you don't get overwhelmed.

Came across a free intro webinar for SheCodes through Instagram and took the leap with the Workshop. The 3-week course flew by. Videos were easy to follow with step-by-step tutorial explanation on how HTML, CSS, and Javascript work together. The homework at the end of the week is super helpful in helping me understand what I learned. SheCodes also provides a Slack community for you to chat with other students who are taking the course with you. In there, you can ask for real-time help and troubleshoot your code with colleagues. Would highly recommend this course to anyone who has no background in coding who is looking to build a solid foundation.
After taking the SheCodes Introduction Workshop, I was hooked on the easy to follow videos, clear instructions, and friendly supporting staff. I've taken several intro HTML/CSS/JavaScript classes before but nothing has clicked like Matt's teaching style and his TA's helpful suggestions. Coding is always intimidating, especially to someone who has no background in it. I like that Matt's videos are bite-size, which makes is easy to learn, follow & absorb the material. The challenges & the project help to solidify the materials that was taught.
This introduction to coding was just amazing! Learning to code with Matt was probably equal to binge-watching your favorite Netflix series. I kept being astonished by how the web works. The online video classes are extremely well designed for anyone to learn. Plus, the technical assistants and the SheCodes community are always there to help at anytime. The steps were broken down in a way that I could plan my daily lesson amount. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because there were multiple times where I thought I was going insane for not knowing something. Then when I watched the solution video, I learned that I wasn't even taught that solution. If I was told I wasn't taught it but had to discover it myself, I would have felt a little better.
I didn't think I would learn SO MUCH in such a short period of time! The videos were easy to follow along and there's always someone to help if you get stuck! Looking forward to the upgrade. ๐
This beginner's workshop was exactly what I was looking for! The online videos fit around my schedule allowing me to complete the weekly objectives whenever I was able to. The entire workshop was very organized and well done. This course has given me the confidence I was looking to gain in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript which is very exciting! Whenever I needed help, I got it right away and I never felt stuck alone for hours. As someone with previous experience with programming languages I still recommend this for anyone looking to acquire technical skills or looking to expand their knowledge and learning. I am excited to continue building on the skills gained in this course and am hoping to move on to the advanced courses in the near future. I definitely recommend this for everyone!

Going through the three-week workshop has been a great experience. The modules were a combination of easy-to-follow videos, challenging exercises, and weekly deadlines. I've always wanted to learn coding and this workshop has given me the opportunity to take the first step.
I had tried to learn coding from books and youtube videos and it simply didn't work. The videos and challenges make it easy to understand the concepts while testing your knowledge. The homework and final project were exciting as well. The support from instructors and other women in the class made the learning experience that much more encouraging and enjoyable.
I really enjoyed the 3-week SheCodes workshop as I found the demonstration videos informative and easy to understand. Having weekly homework really motivated me and solidified what I had learnt throughout the course.
SheCodes is really a friendly platform with an awesome community on Slack! The 3 weeks workshop is a beautiful introduction to coding, which I would recommend to complete beginners or ladies willing to review the basics of HTML & CSS. The little challenges and exercices after each lesson keep you engage throughout the course. Having access to the codes sources with each solution is a must, and Matt's various little tips within the videos are helpful! This course can be the little boost you were looking for to explore your potential and believe in your abilities to start to code ๐ฉโ๐ป
I have never thought programming could be so exciting! The lessons are very understandable and the videos are easy to follow, hence despite my zero experience in programming, I felt no struggles during the introductory course. Now I am proud to show everyone the project I've done.
My final workshop with SheCodes and I am so sad it's over! SheCodes has been so fun to help me learn and develop my skills as a designer while managing to still take complex concepts and break them into bite-size videos. When I first started this course I didn't know how much I would love coding and now on my last course of the React course, I feel so knowledgeable and ready to continue my coding journey outside of these lessons. Thank you to Matt, Joรฃo and all the SheCodes team for all their help throughout this journey.
I only started coding a month ago when I took the SheCodes intro course. SheCodes Plus was more challenging and rewarding. I am surprised at how quickly was able to learn this new skill. Matt's videos were very helpful and easy to understand. Whenever I hit a bump in the road there was a great community of support to help along the way. By the end of the course, you create a functional weather app using live data.
I came into SheCodes with prior self-taught knowledge, but I gained a lot of confidence in my skills! There's so much more to learn after this, but SheCodes Workshop provides a great foundation and the short video lectures are great. Matt casually exposes you to information that I didn't learn from other classes and the lessons are short and sweet so you don't get bored!
