The instructional videos from SheCodes are incredibly clear, and the content is structured for easy learning. It is broken down appropriately, and also follows a logical sequence. I really enjoyed SheCodes Basic and plan to continue onto the next course!

I absolutely loved this course! I love how in depth and detailed it is, the videos helped a lot and Matt's teaching skills are great. I've tried other coding courses before so I have a bit of knowledge but no course can compare to this one! Can't wait to start the Basics add-on and all the other amazing workshops.

Studying coding with SheCodes has been a fantastic experience for me. I just started two weeks ago and knew nothing about coding. After two weeks I am delighted to say that I confidently have learned the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript. These classes are full of fun, intrigue, and sometimes intensity. I mean intensity, positively. The pre-recorded lessons are excellent. However, video recordings alone are not enough to convey information. Hence, in order to learn faster, you need to listen attentively, take notes, and practice rewriting codes repeatedly. In spite of the fact that I only asked one question and found the solution before receiving a reply from the team. There is no doubt in my mind that the SheCodes team is awesome. Their support is always available to students, and students can count on them at any time. Prior to enrolling in the course, I had a lot of doubts about whether I should invest money in SheCodes. As a result of taking the classes covered in the first three weeks, I can say without a doubt that this has been the most valuable investment I have ever made. In addition to that, I also had concerns about payment and wrote an email to Matt elaborating on this topic. Upon receiving a response, I was offered a discount and the option of making monthly payments, which was very comforting for me. As a side note, I'd like to mention that I was neither paid nor pressured to write this testimony. It was entirely my wish to do so. (My motivation for writing this sentence is because I found some upsetting YouTube videos that were misrepresenting the SheCodes course)! Thank you, SheCodes for creating such an incredible course. Interesting introduction to coding, I appreciated the short videos followed by challenges and the structure of the workshop (with deadlines, homework, the project) which helped to stay motivated and focused.
Great way to get your feet wet in html, CSS, and Javascript. The videos are easy to follow and understand. Like with most things, you get out of it what you put in. I think to understand code and build a strong foundation, you need to be coding every day.
I have throughly enjoyed doing my projects with SheCodes. The videos are great and easy to understand, the challenges are a good way to learn the skills taught in the video. The help through slack has been very helpful too.

SheCodes basics was a good way to revise the few things I had learned here and there with HTML, CSS, and Javascript. It solidified my basics and I learned new things too. The videos are clear and easy to follow, and it gives me a lot of motivation to continue learning. The deadline given for every homework is a really good way to stay motivated!

The perfect add on to the Basics course! I completed the Basics course about a year ago and through simply reviewing the videos and following along with the code I had already built, it was super easy to jump into this Add-On course. You learn new content that builds on the content from the Basics course that isn't super overwhelming and Matt does a great job breaking down each line of code, step by step so that you are able to follow along while manipulating your own code. can't wait to start my next course!

Honestly, this course was amazing! I learned so much in such a short period of time! I loved how for a few of the challenges I had to go do some research myself! I joined this course because I wanted to really learn how to code and the basics was really superb. I enjoyed every bit of it , though it was a little difficult for me to comprehend with the new terms but with videos provided i was able to scale through. I thoroughly enjoyed this online workshop where Matt makes it easy to follow through. The step-by-step approach through learning videos, challenges and solutions make self-learning effective. It was also fun in the learning process as we play with colours and emojis. Definitely recommend this to anyone who's keen to start coding!

The entire experience was wonderful. I was able to apply what I had learned to the challenges, and when I ran into problems, I would refer back to the videos. If I still couldn't figure out the problem, the question had probably already been asked on Slack, which was very useful. I also appreciated how quickly they provided feedback on the homework and pointed out your errors. The feedback, as well as having other students inquire what I was struggling with, made the experience less frightening and increased my interest.

Round 3 of SheCodes workshops was as informative, interesting and entertaining as the first. I was able to use many of the HTML and CSS techniques we learned in Basics and Plus. I really enjoyed the creative freedom we got for this portfolio project. Though there were some moments of confusion and stress with my code, I was able to pull through with the help of Matt's lecture videos and the slack chats of fellow SheCodes students. I am really happy with my project and I can't wait to start on SheCodes React and Add-on projects.

For someone with 0 coding background, SheCodes Basics taught me how to build a website from scratch using HTML, CSS and Javascript! The videos are easy to follow as well, Matt explained very well a lot of fundamental theories and why certain steps need to be followed. I can understand the instructions 99% of the time. I look forward to continuing further with coding, especially web development.
I decided to do a career change and start my software developing journey with sheCodes. I liked in was focused on women learning how to code. The structure of the course was very easy to follow. The work itself was challenging, but having the opportunity to revisit the lessons and videos as many times as I needed it helped me understand HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I took both, sheCodes basic and sheCodes plus and i find myself very confident with my coding journey after a couple months. There is more to learn to eventually get a job, but this is a solid start point.
SheCodes is a great way to learn to code. The videos are easy to understand and well explained. I've already learned a bit of code on free platforms, but Matt gave me additional tips and tricks during the basic workshop that are very useful and make coding much easier. I started coding with Mr. Matt. I totally started from scratch and I am delighted to see my metamorphosis in me after 6+ months of coding. Never have I ever imagined that I could continue my coding journey especially after my post-partum. The videos are short and covers everything to become a Frond-end Developer. I am also over the moon because I did something which I have always wanted to do. I had a flair for technology. I know its just a drop in the ocean but still its from the ocean. I will keep practicing and learning🤞and thankfully I have referral videos for lifetime🙏. I am looking forward to learn SheCodes Next with Mr. Matt and his wonderful team.

I have watched tones of videos on HTML, CSS, and JS but none were as simplified as SheCodes. It's not just about watching the videos and coding along but the way Matt inspires is just phenomenon and amazing. I am definitely coming back for the SheCodes Plus.

This was a really great experience. I love how Matt explained everything. I loved the idea of learn then actually practice hands on. I find it very difficult to sit and watch long videos and PowerPoints. I like how Matt broke everything down into smaller categories and provided an opportunity to actually practice after teaching through a short video. I am a hands-on learner and I feel that he catered to my learning style.

A great introductory course to coding. I found Matt's instructions to be very helpful, even as someone that had no prior background in coding. I would say that the first week is definitely the hardest, but once you grasp the basics, all the information you are learning makes sense and builds upon itself. I also found it helpful to watch the videos and practice the exercises at the same time (kinesthetic learner) and pausing/rewinding when I needed too. Also the extensions were a real life-saver around the holidays! Thanks for including that option!
I would highly recommend this coding course to anyone interested in learning how to code. The instructor, Matt, did a great job of keeping the videos engaging and concise, and the support team was very helpful and responsive on Slack. I never had to worry about falling behind because the pace of the course was manageable and there was always someone available to help me when I needed it. It was a challenging but rewarding experience, and I feel confident in my new skills!
Again one another strong, interesting course. I have learnt a lot. Using more JavaScript and APIs, made me feel more comfortable in Front-end development. I am getting less and less scared of designing websites which I've always been🤩. The step by step videos, were fabulous. I had never really done any of this before and it was surprising how fun it became. The videos were easily digestible and in combination with slack I felt like I was easily able to answer any questions I had that came up! I built a webpage, how crazy cool is that?!

SheCodes Plus was an amazing journey. I was having fun and enjoying building weather app. Everything I've learnt so far just clicked; I was able to debug my code, analyze it and sometimes even write the codes without going over the videos first. I just felt like a real coder! Thanks SheCodes and everyone working hard in this team!
Very fun and interesting workshop. Very happy with what we have learned. The pace and level of what you learn is also great. However, the videos could be updated and more prepared. They seem a bit "off the cuff", which - for the price of the course - could and should have been avoided. Good support on slack, but it can take time to get the level of support needed - and this led to me having to use extensions unnecessarily. Also, when attempting to fix some parts of the app - we are told that we cannot get support/help to solve this as that is something covered in a later workshop that is not a part of the course I have paid for - this is disappointing. But all in all - a great introduction to coding!

It is great that I can do this project at my own time. It may look complicated but replaying the videos helped me to understand how to code better.

IT'S GREAT! It's good to be challenged and pushed to work things out for yourself, the instructions are clear and with a clear head they make perfect sense. Matt's videos are to the point and very useful when you focus. Seeing an end product at long last is very rewarding and I will be taking time to improve on it as I learn more in the next workshop!

So pleased with how SheCodes Plus has gone! I really struggled on a couple of weeks, particularly on advanced JS, but I was able to get through to the end and so pleased I stuck with it, even when it got very challenging. It was a huge relief to see that the final 2 weeks of the module was structured so that I could follow along with Matt's videos for building the weather app, I'm very glad this was the case, as otherwise I would've struggled. All in all still very much enjoying my journey with SheCodes and looking forward to Pro & Max!
This is the most challenging project and I will have to go back to it, again and again, to make sure that the well-explained videos and help from the slack community stick.
I starting coding completely from scratch, and SheCodes thought me the basics in such a good way. The short and precise videos from Matt was very understandable, and small challenges after each session was great! I would recommend everyone who is curios about coding to try this course!

Loved the flow of the additional project for the basic course. Figuring out the dark theme was a little tricky to switch back and forth but being able to code along with the videos always helps with the understanding and application of the code making it a seamless learning process. ❤️

It has been so helpful to be able to learn coding on my own time by watching Matt's thorough tutorial videos. A big part of what makes this course very helpful as well is the Slack community. Being able to see similar issues others face and seeing solutions is a big help when I would get stuck. I'm a UI/UX Designer, so I don't need to create code in my job, but this course has made it much easier for me to talk with developers and I am now more comfortable exploring code in inspect mode in order to find things out myself. SheCodes Plus was a fulfilling journey for me - racked my brains as I was introduced to API (the most exciting part), worked on advanced Javascript, pieced everything together, and built my very own weather app. Love the bite-sized videos and how Matt provided industry advice and tips in his capacity as a professional coder (on top of being a teacher).

This training was so engaging from the start to finish, I also found it very insightful. He was able to carry me along session after session. The training has clarity with good choice of word. I like the fact that I can always go back to the previous videos, this help so much with the challenges and the solution helps to identify my mistakes and makes me better for the next lesson.

I'm hoping to pursue a degree in computer science but wasn't sure if I'd really get the hang of coding or be genuinely interested for that matter. After seeing several videos and attending their webinar I decided to enroll in SheCodes and its been an amazing experience. It had been a very good journey with SheCodes so far, the lecture videos were very interesting and informative. And it was super easy to learn from the videos. I enjoyed completing all the challenges and the project was also very interesting .
Quick way to get a basic knowledge in html, css and javascript; The workload is absolutely fine while working full-time, however you need to block some time for the challenges and homework. Sometimes it took me a bit longer than expected but it's absolutely manageable. Matt's videos are great, easy to follow and actually quite entertaining, I also really liked that the videos aren't too long so you can stay focused and take some breaks in between.
I really enjoy learning with Matt! I thought I wouldn't be able to code, but surprisingly in a few hours, I was already doing it and learning a lot :) The exercises are fun, and the method of learning and putting it right away into practice makes all the difference because I got motivated to continue. The videos are easy to follow, and everything is explained effectively. In the future, I hope I can join the next level!
