All the lessons were broken down into simple videos that were easy to follow, and I could take them at my own pace. I had so much fun learning to code and SheCodes has motivated me to keep going!
Glad to complete my first integration with API and have my weather app working. Thanks to the detailed videos in this workshop it was quite a pleasure to work on the app and learn new coding stuff.
I believe this was overall a great introductory course. I would have liked for the videos to have spent more time explaining some of the more advanced concepts in JavaScript that were not as intuitive as html or css to logically understand, but that's alright. The cheat sheets were helpful to get through the course timely without needing to spend hours trying to make sense of it as a beginner.
I loved the course. It was easy enough to follow along with the videos. The tasks and homework kept me accountable.
This one was definitely a challenge. It goes more in-depth than the introductory course so it took me longer than I thought. I kept working on my project little by little, kept rewatching the old videos when needed and kept coding. So in my own tempo, I've graduated and now feeling confident and curious to play with my code, to learn more. And I've also found new friends through SheCodes community. What a success!
Yes, learning to code can be hard at times. You are learning a NEW LANGUAGE :) Thankfully Matt shows you step by step what to do and what NOT to do. Between the Slack student help channel and being able to rewatch videos as much as needed you can and WILL eventually figure it out and it will make sense. Take a break but do NOT give up! :)
Great learning experience. Videos were easy to follow as always. I like the variety of challenges. It was nice to be able to build two different projects - one that was familiar from a different workshop, and a completely new one that allowed me to solve different challenges and learn new things.

I had so much fun learning the basics of coding with the SheCodes basics workshop. I have no previous experience in coding at all. This course made it so easy to follow and understand. I love that the lesson videos are broken into shorter digestible snippets and have challenges to check your understanding. I took this course to test the waters and see if it is the direction I would like to go career-wise. So far I am loving it! I can say that I will definitely be taking the next workshop to further expand my knowdelge of coding.
The videos and instructions were very easy-going, these were MADE for beginners and I am so glad there is an entire organization out there dedicated to this and teaching women all around the world. I am so happy I took this workshop! :) I enjoyed it overall and learned so much in the process.
I really like how you explain basics in small videos so that you catch all the necessary information.
SheCodes Basic is a frontend web development course for beginners. Matt is really good at explaining and you can always go back, rewatch the videos, read up details using the provided references and resources. If you are interested in web development and don't quite know where to start, this course is a great entry point.
It has been awesome working on this project, lots of challenging moments honestly, i love that Matt instruction videos are easy to understand. i love it here
As a complete beginner, I started my coding journey with SheCodes in April 2022, which was purely coincidental. I can't believe I've come all the way to completing the React course! The videos are super fun and informative, as Matt guides you step-by-step on what you should be doing. Even 30 minutes a day will help you get a long way.
I found this course so exciting!! I learned so much about working with JS functions and targeting API data. The videos are easy to follow and Matt explains the coding process very well!
This was a great beginners course. Easy to follow and you can always go back and review things in the videos. An expert is always there when help is needed and the SheCodes community is there to help as well.
Observing how the development process is taking place is really useful. I mean we see in Matt's videos how he decides to choose one or another technique, tries something, something works - other things do not. And it is nice for newbies to see the process as it is.
Really enjoyed the process and learning the basics of HTML, CSS and Java Script. The videos were informative and supportive, with the challenges being a great way to test out the new found knowledge.
I can tell you that my 8weeks learning SheCodes Plus was really worth it, I enjoyed every bit of the training. The instructional videos with detailed explanations, challenges and homework made my learning easier and less stressful. Indeed, My instructor, Matt Delac is doing a great job.

SheCodes Basics is really good for getting started with coding. Thanks to three weeks of regular classes, I realized that studying can be interesting. Accessible materials, meaningful videos and enough time for homework. I can make my own website now. Moreover, I happened to get acquainted with different platforms that help a web developer in his project. Many thanks to the SheCodes for supporting Ukrainian women during the war. I really enjoyed the videos and the challenges, as they are short but full of good content, always giving new information and new things to learn. Sometimes it is frustrating when I don't understand why something is not working ... it takes a lot of trial and error to get to make things work... but when it does work, it seems like I'm making magic and it is a good feeling to know that I can create something from scratch using coding! I barely finished SheCodes Basic workshop and I cannot wait to start the next one. I truly enjoyed everything about it! The weekly homework made me repeat what I've learned and also pushed me into searching other videos on Youtube and learning more in-depth. After becoming quite intrigued about the dazzling world of Information Technology through my expat students, I decided to take this course to dip my toes into coding. I REALLY enjoyed it! It's very well set-up and totally beginner-friendly. The length of the videos is perfect and I like that you are constantly challenged to put your new knowledge into practice. I loved these 3 weeks of coding workshops! I've learnt so much and the format makes it really enjoyable. It is very clear, user-friendly and the examples used are simple. Loved the length of the videos, they are quite short so it makes the course super easy to fit in a busy timetable. Would highly recommend to anyone interested in coding 😄
I really enjoyed Shecodes Basics and highly recommend it to everyone who want to get an idea what coding is about! It was fun to watch Matt's videos as they are easy to follow/understand. The challanges were a lot of fun too. But mostly I enjoyed doing my own project, because you can already play around with the skills you learnt. I will definitley enroll for the SheCodes Pro course as I now know that I absolutely wanna move on and become a professional front end developer!
SheCodes Plus is just what I have been looking for: very instructive short videos that motivate to learn to code. Now I seriously think of resigning from my job and becoming a FrontEnd developer. I just fell in love with coding.
I've really enjoyed my SheCodes basic course! I started doing it whilst on maternity leave with my 8 week old (probably not the best time to start learning something new - but I did it!). I realised that when I go back to work, I don't want to do what I was doing previously and want something which is more flexible. Matt made everything really easy to understand, and each video broke everything down well and the homework after each section was really helpful. I've really enjoyed the course so far, and look forward to continue with the next course when my little one is a bit older and we're in more of a routine. For the meantime, I will revisit the old videos and keep practicing to enhance my skills!
Challenging but rewarding sessions. As a visual learner I really benefitted from the clear and concise instruction through Matt's videos. The exercises build and layer quite quickly and each new item is practiced in several ways. By the end of the course, a lot of the new skills become automatic. A really engaging course which I enjoyed thoroughly.
Taking a coding class as a busy mom of 2 babies seemed hard, but this course made it doable! Small quick videos and engaging challenges made learning fun. I know that I will be able to continue to build upon the skills I have just learned.

Wanted to dip my feet in since I already have coding knowledge but wanted to expand some more, so this was more of a refresher of some sort. Thought that if my experience in the first course went well I would try out the other courses. I'll end up buying the next course, so for everyone who is scared of trying coding I think this is a good step in the right direction! It's super easy to follow and the videos are helpful. SheCodes has been great! I learned a lot. As someone who is easily distracted its been so nice to be able to rewatch videos over and over again. Matt is a great instructor and often made me chuckle lol. I work a ton and it's been a blessing to be able to complete this course on my own time. Can't wait to complete the next parts!!!
I really enjoyed this course and would highly recommend it to any woman who is interested in taking her first steps in coding. Another plus is the amazing support team that offers quick solutions in case you get stuck with any homework or challenge. The courses were simple to assist me to understand basic HTML, CSS, and Javascript. As I work as a Senior Technical Recruiter, this would benefit my interview skills with candidates and know their daily jobs better. I enjoyed this She Codes Basic Workshop. I really liked Matt's teaching style and well-structured videos. I love the challenge after each lesson. I worked as a backend developer and wanted to learn new skills in Frontend. Because of this workshop, I was able to update my existing knowledge. I am excited to continue with the rest of the Codes workshops. I highly recommend this course!
LOVED IT. The videos are well done and easy to follow. Learned a lot. Recommended it to two friends and they have been enjoying it a lot as well. I'm currently a teacher that hopes to get a better-paying job as a coder and I believe this workshop is a great step in that direction.

Joining SheCodes has been one of the best decisions of my life. I always found coding interesting but never thought I could do it as I have Dyslexia and struggle to stay focused, so I thought it would be way too hard to understand and learn. The way the lessons are built and presented makes it so easy to get things done because you can take your time, pause the videos and have as many breaks as you need, and Matt explains and demonstrates it in a way that somebody like me can fully understand. Having challenges to do was also really helpful because it's allowing you to practice and make sure you know what your doing before moving on. I had a lot of fun these past 3 weeks and i couldn't be more grateful to this program for what it has provided me with, I'm looking forward to starting the next workshop. Thanks so much SheCodes!

SheCodes Plus Responsive was great fun and I learned a lot! Matt's videos are great and he demonstrates everything in a clear and easy to follow manner. Building the portfolio website was challenging at times, but it was great to put the learning into practice and really rewarding to have the end product. I enjoyed having the freedom to get creative and put my own spin on Matt's design. Highly recommend giving the Responsive workshop a try!

I tried every book and online workshop there was to try to learn coding but nothing worked until I decided to try SheCodes. The videos are very detailed and easy to follow and the team is very supportive and quick to respond if you get stuck and need help.
Prior to starting SheCodes, I had no coding experience nor knew if it was something I'd enjoy, but Matt's videos are fun and super easy to follow. The challenges in between lessons are a perfect test of what was just learned. Even if I didn't grasp a concept initially, I could always go back and watch the lessons; even from previous modules. What I really enjoyed is I could watch the videos and do my homework from anywhere in the world, on my own time. I am also grateful for the amazing SheCodes team who were quick, kind and patient when answering questions. Thanks!!
I had always thought that coding and programming languages were so difficult and totally unlearnable, but only 3 weeks in my coding journey and I can't believe I am totally killing it! They teaching videos are so simplified and easy to grasp. They challenges after each lesson encourages practices and mastery and are fun to do. They projects are a total game-changer. The way the class is built is just perfeeeect! 💜It's super easy to follow and to understand in a short amount of time (actually, a lot less than I thought it would take!). 💜The classes are divided into bite sized videos, never too long, never boring, just straight to the point. 💜The comprehension of the given material is helped (a lot) by the mandatory (and short) exercices. 💜The fact that you have to send the exercises after each important class and that you have “specific dates” to give them back, makes me feel accountable for my own progress. 💜Also, the flexibility of the curriculum make the workshops a lot more fun (for me at least!) because there is no pressure at all. Cannot wait to continue to the next workshops. 🤗

I am happy that I decided to take this workshop, every week was challenging but it was satisfying to see how in the end it all came together. The instructional videos were very useful as I keep referring back to them and having access to the slack community helped me keep pushing forward whenever I was getting stuck on a homework problem. SheCodes Plus was much challenging as compared to SheCodes Basic. Even then, the advantage of SheCodes courses is that we can re-watch the videos, and we are able to get great help from the SheCodes Team on the Slack channel, who answer our questions ever so patiently and promptly. It is also great that Matt will explain the rationale behind certain concepts and some good practices, rather than just step-by-step theory. It is a sense of achievement and joy when we see the codes work properly! Lastly, it is inspiring and fun to browse the projects of other students! Thank you SheCodes Team!

Very easy to understand videos with plenty of tips and tricks to help you figure things out on your own. It definitely came to together for me doing the project at the end of the three weeks.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Plus course and working on the final project - it really helped me to consolidate my knowledge of Javascript and built my confidence in my ability to code on my own! The Slack channels were really helpful for discussing problems and getting quick responses, and I also found it helped to be able to read through other people's questions and see their code. Being able to work on all the mini-challenges without worrying about failing or being assessed, but knowing there were solution videos accessible if I got stuck, also made a big difference to feeling like I was free to see how far I could get on my own and helped build my confidence in my own abilities.
Great balance between information given in videos and knowledge a student must find on her own. Greatly structured cheatsheets and good recommendations on sources to be used to fill in the gaps.
I truly love how the class were being conducted, even though the videos were pre-recorded but everything that was inside was very relatable. I love the challenges that were given too.
SheCodes has an awesome platform! It was so easy to follow along with the videos and the corresponding challenges. Having a solution video made me feel less anxious about not getting the full solution the first time. Highly recommend!
I enjoyed learning HTML, CSS, and JS in the SheCodes Basics course. The videos are short and straightforward making them easy to understand. Also, there are so many good projects for each lesson, which make learning more active.
