Easy access to information, love the videos as a learning tool
I highly recommended SheCodes to those who wants to get into the tech world and start coding.The learning is simple, the videos very explicit and the challenges after each lesson motivate you more. I rally enjoyed these few days that I spent and it increased my passion for coding. Thank you very much to the SheCodes team and see you next time because I don't intended to stop here.
This course was so fun! I loved the format of videos with challenges and homework along the way. The team and SheCodes community are all so interactive on Slack, it was great to get feedback and interact with other students. I'm already looking forward to the next course 😊
It was very helpful to build the project alongside the videos. Then it was fun to go back at the end and make any tweaks to the project to really make it your own. I learned so much from working on this project!
Wow what a week it has been ! I cannot believe how much I have been able to achieve in such a short space of time with the SheCodes basic program. The format of the program allows you to move at your own pace with quality videos and challenges that really do motivate you to move onto the next lesson. I did not stop smiling after each homework review to see the longed for and beautiful words "Your solution is valid! Good job 👍" I am really pleased I have done this and look forward to what comes next for me with SheCodes!

The videos were a great help, especially when i was stuck i knew i can always refer back to them for some light. Matt is a great teacher. He made everything very understandable and enjoyable. I had so much fun learning to code and create things from scratch.

SheCodes Basics was fantastic! I'd never had any experience with coding before and I found this to be a great introduction. I work in learning design, and I loved the way the learning was paced, the short videos with an applied learning activity were fab. Can't wait to take another course!

The SheCodes Basic course is amazing! The content was challenging at times but the instructional videos made it easy to understand and were great to have to refer back to when completing homework assignments. If you're looking to enhance your coding skills, I highly recommend this course.
I really enjoyed this workshop. Matt explains everything in a simple, digestible way. I have ADD and long learning videos are usually super tiring for me, so the short moduls were great. Same for the challenges with deadlines - I learn best by physically doing the thing I'm studying (plus I'm more likely to actually practice, if someone else is "waiting" for a result), so this was great, aswell. Looking forward to the next one!
I truely liked the class, everything in the videos is explained clearly, and i liked the fact that i can practice after every video. Sooo thakful for the efforts given and for all the team behind this! :)
It was a great experience! Sometimes it was difficult, but interesting to find out how to fix a certain error yourself. As always, very cool videos and explanations!

One of my favorite workshops yet! I learned how to create an entire responsive webpage embedded with media such as videos, music, social media posts, etc. This was quite enlightening and overall fun!
I had a lot of fun and learned a lot from this workshop! I am excited to learn even more. The videos were very informational. I like that you can learn at your own speed and pause and restart as needed.
SheCodes Responsive was a very tough workshop. But with Matt's hands-on videos and explanations, he made it very easy to understand. At the end of this workshop, I realized I have learned so much! I enjoyed working on my portfolio and will definitely be using these techniques throughout my coding journey.
Being a part of the SheCodes family has been so much fun. Matt's straight-to-the-point videos make learning how to code so much more easier than you think. I would 100% recommend this course to any- and everybody!! In the meantime, my journey continues..

Great workshop! Learned a lot, also because I sometimes tried stuff before the explanation and only went further when it (finally) worked or I had ran out of ideas of how to make it work. As always, great videos that are easy to follow. Also good to see there are optional parts if you want the extra challenge.
I hade a long break over summer and came back this week and finished the final project, and I immediately got reminded how good the videos are and how fun it is to write code and get to see directly what you are creating.

This workshop really ties everything that we've learned so far together. It isn't too difficult to follow along with the videos to code alongside the instructor, and it's nice to be able to listen as he talks through how he is troubleshooting when something doesn't work as predicted.
This workshop was amazing. Matt's videos give us enough to understand what to do, but also allow us to push ourselves in the challenges. I love having the freedom to build my own projects at the end of each week because it gives me a sense of accomplishment. I already feel like I know so much, but I can't wait to keep going!
SheCodes has been such an amazing journey. I definitely would recommend anyone wanting to learn to code. The videos and interaction make it a breeze to go through and mostly you have access to people who are on the journey with you to assist you. I love that you are still able to do this while working and at your own pace and from home. Matt is amazing and explains everything in such good detail.

I enjoyed everything about SheCodes Basic and am thinking of continuing onto the next level! The instructor is very clear, the videos are bite-sized and easy to digest. There is a challenge after every video, to put in practice everything that we learn, followed by a solution to compare code and learn new things. The slack community offer a first port of call for queries and doubts. I highly recommend this short course to learn the ropes about HTML, JS and CSS.

SheCodes plus was a really fun experience for me and I learned a lot. I am very much excited to now know about all the interesting stuff such as API and GitHub which once seemed too complicated and scary to me! In fact I was so excited that I almost finished my weather app with all features by the sixth week and just followed the videos to make sure I know everything Matt wanted to teach us :)
Really helpful addition to the basics programme - I'm also doing Plus now, as think I can't stop now that I'm starting to learn more. Great teaching, clear explanation and step by step classes - so much better than trying to learn this myself from other online content or videos.
Highly recommend, audio volume could be better throughout videos. Challenging and great projects.

Quick learning course. I finished the bootcamp in 5 days, and I want to learn more and build on this skill. The videos are quick and taught me a lot. I liked the step-by-step learning, and I could do it on my own pace.
The SheCodes basics workshop was excellent! I had been debating a career change and was hesitant about diving in and spending a lot of time and money on something I wouldn't enjoy. The combination of short videos and homework assignments made coding easy to digest. Matt was comprehensive and to the point and with the help of the SheCodes slack team, I was able to complete all my assignments. I am finishing this course with the confidence to know I CAN code, and I will be enrolling in the SheCodes Max program next.
SheCodes Basic wasn't always easy, but the easy access to support, the well-made videos, the challenges/homework, and flexible yet straightforward structure with deadlines made it doable. I struggle with self-learning, but this structure was a good educational setup with autonomy. It was fun also. I highly recommend SheCodes!!
Coding is completely new to me and I have found SheCodes Basics to be a great introduction. Matt's videos are clear and informative and the exercises really help to consolidate learnings. I'm learning more than I ever thought possible. In college, I switched my major because I just couldn't understand the language. Matt makes it all so much more simple and he thoroughly explains everything. The videos are wonderful resources, especially if you're a visual learner like myself!
What a challenging but fun 8 weeks of coding! I definitely had days that were easier than others but with Matt's clear instructions and videos, I made it to the finish line and excited to jump into the next workshop! Thankful for the community of women in my workshop and the SheCodes staff that were so helpful whenever I was stuck during this amazing experience!

Absolutely adored this workshop! I've learned some basic HTML back in highschool, so week 1 lessons refreshed my memory, but week 2 and week 3 definetely taught me a lot of new things! When I first started I had no clue what HTLM,CSS and Javascript is and Matt took me step by step. I felt like a baby learning to walk but has a very good teacher. I kept going back to videos when I needed to refer and asking help from Slack and it made it an easy journey for me. I highly recommend SheCodes. May they keep up the good work.
I highly recommend SheCodes, it's beginner friendly, the videos are easy to follow and the SheCodes team is very helpful on slack whenever you are stuck. Working on the weather app was so much fun even with all the bumps on the road.
Shecodes really helped me, I had no background in Tech but now I can tell a different story. You get to learn and understand in the learning videos and be able to practice it the challenge they give you also they are platforms like Slack where you are able to ask all the questions you have relating in coding. Over the past decade or so, I have served as the head of various departments of technical engineers and developers. During this time, my daily routine has transitioned from hands-on engineering towards managing, strategising, and coordinating projects. Though I've made a few attempts at coding, the knowledge I've acquired has largely been left to gather dust in the back of my mind. Nonetheless, I've always harboured a desire to play a more hands-on role. With this in mind I decided to to reignite my passion and embarked on my SheCodes journey, starting with the Basics course. It's been nothing short of a revelation. This course has helped me reconnect with my natural coding ability, offering an enjoyable and exciting way back into the world of coding. The material was engaging and the videos are knowledgeable and approachable. The fact that I could study at my own pace, fitting the course around my schedule, was an added bonus. It was a joy to return to the nuts and bolts of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript after such a long hiatus. What I particularly appreciated was the process of re-engaging with problem-solving, the kind of critical thinking required to build something from the ground up. The course reminded me of how much I enjoy the creativity involved in coding, the challenge of making something functional and aesthetically pleasing. It's been a pleasure to have that part of my brain engaged again, and to feel my passion for coding rekindled. Looking ahead, I am particularly excited about starting the SheCodes Max course. I feel it is the perfect next step to dive deeper into coding and explore its many facets that blend creativity and engineering. So, to anyone considering a coding course, I would say go for it. Whether you are a seasoned developer or a beginner, SheCodes provides a fantastic environment for learning, growing and reigniting your passion for coding. It certainly did for me.

I found the SheCodes Plus workshops challenging but fun. I learnt a lot, and really expanded the skills gained in the Basics programme. The early weeks go over what was previously learnt and I found that a useful way of consolidating my learning, and building my skills. I was really pleased with the project I was able to create in such a short space of time. For absolute beginners, like myself, this is a perfect combination of hand-holding (via the informative videos) and encouraging you to find solutions. A really interesting and informative course.
I really enjoyed learning more about coding and with the easy to watch videos, engaging assignments, and Matt's finesse guiding you through building your first websites in the SheCodes Basic workshop, you are set up for success from day 1! *sighs* What a challenging 3 weeks learning coding with no I.T. background. I really learnt how to be patient with myself although it was frustrating at times. Must say the videos Matt created are quite helpful and make it very easy to learn and apply. At times it was a tad confusing and even overwhelming, especially having no prior experience in coding. But the community here is always eager to help, and the resources online make it possible for you to keep pushing through! I enjoy Matt's teaching style and how he doesn't edit his videos to the point where he seamlessly eases through the lesson. Mistakes are shown and corrected, and that's what truly helps me learn!

I've enjoyed the SheCodes basics course way more than I expected - so much so that I plan to upgrade to pro! Matt is a great teacher and I love the format of short videos with embedded challenges. It's so much easier to focus and to practise skills straight away rather than watching long videos and trying to remember everything. Would highly recommend.

Matt is a wonderful teacher, and the program is well designed. After watching short videos, there are challenges that helped me to learn better. I always wanted to learn to code, but thought it would be too complex and time-consuming. But this program changed my perception about coding. I would like to appreciate sheCodes team for their efforts in providing the program and supporting learners like me.

As with the Basic and Basic Add-On courses, It was super fun and I learned a lot, Matt's videos were very well done and easy to understand, while still leaving enough of a challenge for you to problem solve and learn!! I also had a blast working on the final project!! I super excited to start my next course after the summer!!!

Creating the weather app was both challenging and fun. Having the videos nice and short allows you to progress at your own pace and get a better understanding for each lesson.

SheCodes was a wonderful experience. The videos were very easy to follow and easy to understand. Matt is correct that it is fun to try and figure things out how to make your code unique and fun. I can now look at a piece of code and get a general idea of what it means and how it functions. I still have a lot to learn, but the basics is great and I feel like I learned a lot!
I really enjoyed this course! Matt explained everything very clearly and having access to the videos 24/7 allows you to learn at your own pace, which is very helpful. The challenges were engaging and allowed you to apply and test what was taught in each lesson. I felt this was a very safe space to begin learning to code.

I loved this course, I've tried multiple other courses before but they all got me at learning JavaScript. It all seemed too complicated and there were no videos to help. Matt explains everything in a fun way so now I understand what I am doing and what I need to do to fix problems.
It was hard at first to take in so much information at once, I even had to watch more than a few videos multiple times because I didn't understand it the first time around. I feel so proud of myself now that I finished the first course. I'm excited to keep learning more in-depth material!
I wanted to learn Coding for a long time and this was the perfect course to for me as I had zero previous knowledge about Coding. I really enjoyed how the lecture videos were set up as I am more of a visual learner and it was quite easy to understand. I will most definitely continue with Coding !
This was the most interactive and fun Workshop I have ever taken.
