I really had so many pre-conceptions about coding! Luckily I joined Matt's free introductory talk and I was hooked. I have a digital marketing degree but have always wanted another skill to distinguish myself from others. Hence, I have taken up coding despite having no prior experience. This course has really helped me improve and refine my capabilities as a beginner coder and I could not be happier! Javascript was a bit trickier and sometimes frustrating, but it was the right kind of difficult to help one improve upon their skills. The videos from lessons were always detailed and easy to follow as well. In the worst-case scenario, the Slack group was very useful in me solving any difficulties I had. There are many tools at one's disposal in the event that they are stuck on anything. I learned a lot in the past couple of weeks and would recommend this course to anyone wishing to learn code!
We did it anyway! The wonderful ShΠ΅Π‘odes project allowed me to get acquainted with Web development, and this allows me to now plan my further professional path. Development was sometimes fun, and sometimes it was not easy. Thanks to the support of the team, everything worked out! Matt Delac explains the theory perfectly, gives a lot of examples, students have support in Slack I recommend this course to anyone who wants to tie their career into Web Development and is unsure where to start.

I have tried to learn to code a couple of times before but could never get into it. I signed up for SheCodes Basics on a whim, thinking a little bit of HTML knowledge might help me in my current role, but I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did - so much so that I am seriously considering changing careers! The way it is taught makes all of the difference. Short, well-explained, bite-sized lessons followed by practical exercises really help solidify what you are learning and make it fun and interesting. Plus, no maths in sight! I could not recommend the course enough!

I approached SheCodes because I wanted a change of career, I have always been fascinated about coding and everything it entails. SheCodes has helped me develop this interest as well as enlighten and piqued my interest to want to know more. The Basics workshop exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this program for busy women to learn code on a part-time basis. This was a great way to learn the foundations of coding and how webpages are built. The lessons were challenging, yet manageable. The instructors and fellow students are so helpful and engaging.
