Learning through practice is a new experience for me. The course was not easy, but step by step we explained all the details of creating a small site to determine the weather. If you follow the instructions, everything will work out. We were left with space for self-expression, so at the end of the course we received a large number of different projects. I really liked that you can watch how other participants of the course performed the tasks. Thank you for an interesting and useful experience.

Through this first workshop, I gained some solid experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and was able to build a beautiful website about ballet! 🩰 Most importantly, I learned how to be self-sufficient and use a variety of resources to accomplish coding challenges. Having access to a strong mentor and a team of support is so helpful when learning, just as it will be throughout a fulfilling career in tech. :)

I liked it very much, gradually and not difficult
It was so short, sweet & easy-to-follow! Actually the first time I understood JavaScript (failed so many times before) and even felt an urge to improvise and code extra. Also loved the size of the lessons (5-10 minutes) so that even if you're busy it's still possible to study a bit.
I would highly recommend this course! It was fun, informative and very interactive with the learner.

I was first taught coding by my mother who had a Masters Degree in Computer Science over 30 years ago. That was when coding was young and all we could learn was DOS because none of these newer coding languages existed. This was my first time formally learning HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I can hardly believe that I was able to create real web pages so quickly. I have recently begun building No Code Apps and I am excited to enhance my projects by incorporating what I have learned through the SheCodes Basics Workshop. I could not be more excited about the opportunities that I foresee because I have begun to develop this new skillset. I am grateful.🙏🏾

SheCodes Basics was an excellent intro into HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I went from 0 coding knowledge to being able to build a webpage in 3 weeks! The videos are the perfect length to not lose focus!
I love SheCodes! I can't lie, I was a little skeptical, there are a MILLION coding bootcamps... however- I went from zero knowledge to building an interactive webpage, being able to inspect other pages proficiently, and the intimidation this field used to give me has been replaced by an eagerness to learn more!
The responsive workshop was so informative and vital for anyone frontend developer that works on web development. It was a lot of fun and Matt is a fun instructor always making me laugh watching his lessons!

I would recommend this course for people who wants to learn at their own pace. There is a lot of people to help in case you are confuse with assignment.
I really wanted to learn to code but with me having bad ADHD i was really worried i wouldn't be able focus on the lessons or challenges. Matt makes the lessons super interesting with cool pictures and colors also the way he explains things is just the best thing ever! It makes everything so much easier. Also the way the whole thing is set out has been amazing! and i have managed to complete 3 weeks with hardly any struggle even with the ADHD. This workshop is one of the best things i have ever done. SheCodes Plus was such a growing experience! Through Matt's instruction and challenges and the invaluable help from the team on Slack, I feel like we can now do wonderful things with Vanilla Javascript. Evreything was clear. I am not good enough in English, but it wasn't a problem at all. My previous experience with html was terrible, for a long time, I thought that all this is not for me. But now I understood, that I just had a bad teachers ;) It's not a black magic at all :)
If you do not know anything about code, but you are very excited to start creating interesting projects with your computer, then SheCodes Basics is great possibility to learn how to code and challenge yourself😊 The lessons are clear and easy to follow, also there is a tasks for self-learning. The last and final SheCodes Workshop proved to be the toughest yet in terms of learning as some of the concepts were tricky to grasp at first, like the map element. But, as with most things, the more you practice and implement them, the easier they are to understand. I really enjoyed my time learning React with Matt. I feel a sense of accomplishment and pride in what I have achieved with Matt's guidance and expertise. He is a gem. I wish there were more SheCodes workshops so I could continue my coding journey.

Thanks to Matt Delac and the SheCodes Team! I really enjoyed the SheCodes Basic workshop. This course is great for beginner coders, but also helps refreshing your memory in case your last encounter with html, CSS & Javascript has been a while back. I especially liked that you can take the course at your own pace, but are still motivated to push forward due to the homework deadlines. If you encounter any problems or have questions you have a great community of other coders welcome you to the class and help you with any problems. Also, the SheCodes Team itself is there to answer questions if one is in need. The review of the homework is done rather quick, so you receive your feedback quite fast. Most of the tasks I found relatively easy to handle due to the good explanations in the workshop videos. And with some more challenging tasks in between you really had to learn how to research answers by yourself which in my opinion prepares you well for the future as lots of times, you'll have to research how certain things are done. I am very motivated to continue deepening my skills and feel that I have a good foundation to build further knowledge upon.
I was happy to take this workshop! Great teacher and super team, bravo! I didn't expect that coding could be so interesting and creative! I look forward to continue the course!

I really enjoyed going through the challenges coding with React poses. I had to constantly debug, inspecting and reinspecting to find what was not working. It really is a logical and detail-oriented task, and you need to be very focused on it. I feel like I now have the skills to build applications like this on my own, and I will keep practicing and learning more so I can become a better coder everyday!

I never thought I would be able to learn the amount of information provided in such a short amount of time! The design of taking things step by step while still leaving room for challenges was such a great way to progress and comprehend through this course.
This work shop was definitely challenging but at the same time very rewarding. I got stuck a lot especially in JavaScript, but watching the instruction videos helped immensely when I couldn't debug my code by myself. Seeing my weather app work in real time as I integrated the API and seeing the final results of my hard was very satisfying.
Not an easy program but it actually feels like you're learning.
Matt is an amazing instructor. I was thoroughly impressed with how I had no issue with comprehending his teaching and also being able to enjoy his lessons at the same time. The lessons are short and straight to the point and very easy to grasp. The challenges were fun to do and provided necessary knowledge for me to apply on many of the assignments.
I love learning at SheCodes! I have recommended more than one student to study here. I used to start teaching JS many times, but I had a hard time understanding the process. Studying here is the best thing you can do when you are starting your education in coding.

Let me start with a little background. I graduated high school in 2011, took 1 recordkeeping and 1 accounting class, and have not touched a computer other than to surf the web since. I currently am self-employed, and run a home cleaning business. Before I started cleaning, I was a stay at home mom for 5 years. I have known that this was not the path I wanted for my life, but I was worried to try something new. A good friend of mine recommended SheCodes to me because I showed some interest in technology. I was nervous because I came into this not knowing ANYTHING about coding. Once I started on my lessons, I really got the hang of it fairly quickly, and it turns out I thoroughly enjoy it! I am so happy to have found SheCodes and everything I have learned so far.
