It is a good way to begin coding. You don't need any previous experience to get started, although I think it would be handy. 3-week long live workshop gives you the opportunity to see whether you would like to continue and take a more serious step towards it. It was great!
It's a good start for people who have trouble following online courses. The weekly assignments and webinar format work well. A bit too rushed to learn things in depth, but as I said, a good start.

This workshop provided a great introduction to front-end developing. Taught in a wonderful and relaxed way, it was the perfect start to improve programming skills.
This course gave me the motivation to get back into coding with the confidence of knowing the basics of html, css and javaScript and skills to research problems that arise when learning something new. I would recommend if you want to know the basics in a timely manner.

SheCodes allowed me to learn the basics about front-end developing in a fun and inspiring environment. Having no previous coding experience I never though that I would be able to create a landing page after just 2 days - but I did and I am already eager to keep developing my skills.
Nothing better to feel welcomed in a new world than getting to know the language. Now the problem is you always find out there is more than one language, so you just have to keep learning. Just keep learning

If you want to actually learn HTML, CSS, and Javascript basics - take this course with Matt. After taking a bunch of other courses in-person and online, this is the only one where I truly felt that I understood everything. My goal was to have functional knowledge of Javascript basics, and I definitely gained those skills. I'm very excited to take the next step in learning more so I can make my designs and illustrations come to life.

SheCodes is a very interesting way to learn the bases of web development and understand it's not really rocket-science. The teaching method is very interactive, allowing us to apply the bases after each class and giving the tools to continue learning by ourselves!
My 1st ever experience with coding was about 20 years ago or so! Do you remember Geocities, at Yahoo? I remember I created a very rudimentary website with HTML there. Since then, my academic and working career has had nothing to do with coding at all. Lately I have become more interested at coding since I love learning new things and this workshop has been a nice challenge for me. It has also allowed me to explore my creativity and think about personal future projects. And definitely, it is an opportunity if you consider to change career. SheCodes allows you to take part in affordable fun workshops.
Matt is a great instructor. He presented all of the information in a way that was easy to understand. I feel that the material was structured very well with a good balance of live classes along with the convenience of learning at our own pace at home. I enjoyed the whole experience - learning, the homework, the project...all of it! I will be looking for the SheCodes Plus availability that will fit my schedule soon.

This course was an amazing challenge, allowing space to learn a lot about html, css and java script at a comfortable and at the same time fast pace. I think it's a great way to start learning and finding out whether one likes coding or not.
SheCodes helped me to understand better the basics of coding. The amount of homework and lessons were perfect to combine with your work or duty activities.
I attended to SheCodes Live Workshop, so I can only talk about that. The course itself is instructed nicely, however I believe the curriculum was not very well suited to the amount of money that you pay (at my time it was 99 euros). you are going to have Courses and homeworks for 2 weeks, and the whole third week is dedicated to your final project, which I believe it could be better if they would have some material for the 3rd week too (Matt is going to have live webinar for 4 times in total, once per week). If you are brand new in coding then yes that is a good way to start. Also the slack-chat environment has a really nice, helpful and friendly atmosphere. BUT for someone who has a tiny little bit of coding experience I wont recommend this course. you should look for more challenging homeworks and syllabus. They are at the starting point though, so most probably they are going to improve themselves a lot.
The videos are ok for a complete beginner, but the information is already available for free. I expected the live sessions to be denser and to go into detail much more. Also, I expected the courses to explain the theory and to show practical examples much more. I would only recommend this course to someone who has zero knowledge of HTML/CSS, but not to someone who's good at learning on their own or who already followed some tutorials. For the same price, you can get a 3-month subscription on a DEV-focused platform and learn all these skills, plus much more :). So in my case definitely the expectations were too high for what the course offers, especially when it comes to the live sessions.

SheCodes workshop was an amazing experience for me! I got to learn something that is usually perceived as complex and difficult in a really friendly environment. The program was really well planned and organized, the classroom atmosphere was very relaxed and positive, with classmates helping and encouraging one another during the exercises. SheCodes staff (including volunteers and technical assistants) were very attentive and supportive throughout the weekend and really made a difference in the experience (including Matt's playlists! :)) .
