SheCoes is definitively a good experience! We learnt a lot of coding for just two days, Matt was amazing with us and the matter was structured and clear! I'm very happy to have joined the course. I'm sure this news skills will help me on my work and open doors for news opportunities.
"SheCodes" is a good intensive workshop to learn some basics of HTML, Javascript and CSS! By being a project manager from the economic area and not knowing if, in fact, and if in the future, I will make some front end developer work, one thing I am sure: In the present, I will understand better my IT colleagues! In the end of the day, this course was worth every penny!
A very intensive weekend, very fast paced and very productive. Matt has an incredible ability to simplify the coding world by introducing us smoothly to it. Starting from understanding the frontend/backend differences, listing the several existing coding languages, to developing HTML, CSS and Javascript. I arrived to the workshop, from a working week, with lots of doubts on wether I would be able to understand anything. Guess what?! I left being able to distinguish the mechanics of coding and wanting to know a lot more about it. I highly recommend it! Thank you Matt and the team for all your effort!

In just two days we learned a lot of things: html, css and javascript. It is true that it was just an introduction to each of these languages, but this introduction allowed us to understand how each works, so we can learn more about them, or one of them, in the future. I recommend the workshop to anyone who wants to have some skills in this area, or to those who simply want to learn something new.
SheCodes Workshop is just what you need to get in touch with basic coding and understand if you would like to learn a bit more. It was an intense weekend to me, but it was totally worth it! We learned, not only how to think as a developer, but also what we can do professionally if we decide to go through this career. I really recommend this workshop for women some how interested in coding, or a career change, or even just some extra knowledge.
My decision to sign up for this course was 100% right. I wanted to try if coding was a good option for me, and it definitely helped me a lot since I’ve been able to get to know how simple and fun coding can be. SheCodes is a great stepping stone. I was clueless, did not know what to expect. Came out of this workshop thrilled and enthusiastic thinking that I have to continue this somehow. I came to this workshop with a little bit of fear inside my heart, doubting I'd be able to go through it, since coding always seemed like such an unattainable task. After SheCodes I can say that everything changed. Matt was amazing and was able to teach us with great aptitude and talent and the course is great at introducing us to the basics. I left the workshop uplifted and with a new goal in my life: to keep learning how to code, because it is fun and challenging! I chose to attend SheCodes because I wanted to learn more about code, especially JavaScript and was having a tough time doing it by myself. When the weekend was over I was really excited and I can say for sure it was totally worth it. It was very dynamic, fun and super informative. Everyone is incredibly nice and helpful. I never wanted to become a developer but I've always wanted to be able to communicate with the developers, so I could better understand their complaints, difficulties and requests. SheCodes Plus was, with no doubt, the opportunity I needed to gain this knowledge. I was not only able to gain a better knowledge regarding programming languages but also about the flow behind the scenes concerning management of an IT project. SheCodes Plus helped me to understand how developers think about problems and taught me the language that they use to go about solving them. This course has enabled me to have conversations with developers that are informed and efficient, exactly what a developer wants! I've learned a lot, but also learned more about what I don't know so that when I reach out for help, I know what I'm asking for, I have more realistic expectations for how long it will take (with ample time to fix bugs!) and we can all arrive at a better end product.
SheCodes is a great choice for someone who wants to learn more about web development and coding, even if you are not certain if this is the path for you. We got to implement more of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and learn about the framework React, which for me was a totally new world that I enjoyed implementing in my project! The classes were demanding but engaging, and we got work tasks which were important to keep track of what we were learning. She Codes was the program that I needed to finally get back to coding and made me certain that this is the path that I would like to follow in the future.
I found She Codes while I was looking for coding workshops and it was definitely the best option considering value for price. Additionally, I was stunned by how much I learned in such little time. Matt is a great teacher which also helped a lot for such a beginner like me with no coding or IT background whatsoever!

SheCodes was a fantastic opportunity to truly learn about the coding world and see results in a short amount of time. I've been interested in coding for a while, but until I learned about SheCodes, no other courses fit into/around everything else happening in my life. Especially since women aren't as strongly represented in STEM fields, this is a great first step to push me personally to bridge that gap in my career and other engagements. The course had an added benefit of meeting other women who are curious, engaged, and interested in growing professionally. I'm not entirely sure yet to what extent I will incorporate coding in my daily work and life, but I am sure that the skills I've learned in the past couple of months will be useful in many other ways as well - from communicating better with developers, to understanding, using, and analysing the data with which I work. I've walked away excited to learn more and to see in what way I can be part of the huge technological advances happening all around us.
It was an amazing weekend, it's impressive how so much information can be given in a short period of time. For me this was the first step to grow in this new career path. Besides coding, it was amazing to be able to know all these women and listen their stories.

The fact that we rely so many aspects of our daily-life into a technology we know little about was the main reason that made me join SheCodes; that sole curiosity of understanding the basic principles of coding and the will to challenge myself into trying something so out of my comfort zone (and also, in a way, the fact that developers can have a lifestyle which is pure #goals). The workshop was everything I expected: the cool environment, the super well-structured lessons and the continuous challenges and exercises we were given. I really enjoyed participating in She Codes. Not only due to what I learned during the weekend but also to the advices on how we could learn by ourselves after the workshop. My name is Maria Carolina and I am a master's student in management. I joined She Codes, first in the online session and was soon captivated. I joined the next live event and the experience was gratifying. I had no experience with programming languages and I feel that I learned the basics in a fun and didactic way. In the end I did a project about one of my passions where I put everything I learned into action, proving to myself that it is possible to learn the basics in one weekend. I think it's a great opportunity for all women who have an interest in this area.Matt is a great and fun teacher, I would really recommend it!
I have to confess I was a bit skeptical about learning coding and any programming language in only two days, but halfway through i got convinced that we could do amazing stuff on the SheCodes weekend. I tried to learn by myself before, there are a lot of theories about how and where we should start from, but none of them worked as efficient and quickly and Matt's way did. To combine the structural languages with a programming one, having people in the room to help you out is definitively the best way to do it if you don't have a clue of what you are doing. This said, obviously i am no master nor any of the girls who started with SheCodes workshop are (yet!), but now we have the basis to continue the work and to do it "our thing" if we decide so.
I really enjoyed learning to code in the fast-paced but fun environment of SheCodes. Coding skills are valuable in a wide variety of positions and anyone could benefit from a course like this. I look forward to putting my skills to use!

It was so cool to learn code for a whole weekend! If I had the opportunity, I would do it all over again.
We have the opportunity to learn a lot in just 2 days! In workshop we also had moments of hard work along with fun time breaks. At the end this experience makes us feel really proud of building a web page from scratch and I would definitely recommend this course!
