First time completing a course by choice! I have been thinking about trying out coding for a while and when I saw the advert on my Instagram feed I could not resist. I am a complete beginner with 0 experience or knowledge in coding, SheCodes teaching style is very helpful and easy to understand.
The hands-on approach, and the flexibility to complete it when one has time, made this a great course for me (an adult learner who's employed full-time).

Finally finished the last course offered by SheCodes! REACT was a super fun course where I have learned a lot. It had it's tricky moments but I certainly enjoyed every step of it. Alongside the help from Matt, the team, as well as other students, I have managed to learn a lot. I never thought I would be able to develop both an weather app AND a dictionary app. This was a really fun trajectory!
It`s been a wonderful experience and I would do it twice!! I will be recommending SheCodes workshops to more people. Everyone was so helpful and the tutorials were easy to follow!!

I came into this workshop not knowing anything about coding and I will admit I was super nervous that I wouldn't understand enough for the final project. Even after finishing the first two homework assignments I was worried I wouldn't finish my project in time. If this happens to you please keep going! Once I started working on the final project I realized that I retained way more information than I thought and I cant wait to start the next workshop!
I had zero coding experience before taking this course. Matt made it very easy to follow and fun to do. I loved the aspect of the challenges after each lesson so I could put what I learned to use! I cannot wait to learn more about coding. The basics that I learned here have provided me with a great foundation. Thank You!

I studied engineering, but never took coding classes and didn't realize how vital coding was to my career path until I got my first job. Working with my Controls counterparts taught me a lot, but most of all, it taught me that I had a lot to learn in terms of programming! One of my coworkers took this class and recommended it to me, so I figured I'd give it a shot and am very impressed with the amount of material that we covered in such a short time. It was very fun to make a webpage for the future (currently imaginary) bakery that my sisters want to open, and I learned a lot!
SheCodes Basics was a tremendous help in providing the necessary courses for the basics of coding, and the classes ended up inspiring me to continue coding through SheCodes. Doing the course actually helped me find a new niche of people and things I now love to do, regardless of how difficult the current material may be. Plus, with the additional resources and the videos provided, I never felt there was a time when I was overwhelmed to the point I was stuck since I could turn for help at any moment!
Coding is something I've dreamed of doing since my awesome dad let me see the first Matrix movie as a little girl. I always knew I had it in me but the path to get there seemed daunting. I had tried to teach myself but without a good teacher and organized lesson plan, I didn't make it very far. Thanks to Matt and SheCodes, I'm on my way to switching careers and hopefully starting my own business by the end of the year. Thank you, Matt! You were the missing ingredient!

I started with little to no coding skills, would start to lose interest in coding because I would get confused! But Matt explained everything so easily step-by-step in a way that is so easy to understand! I no longer lose interest in coding and now find it fun to do. Thanks SheCodes!

This workshop was challenging. My first time building with javascript. I absolutely loved this workshop. If you want to learn how to code, I highly recommend taking this workshop and learning from the challenges.
Being able to practice everything we learn is the key to learn. But with SheCodes you go one step forward because you learn the fundamentals and then you are able to explore and do everything for yourself!

Learning React has been quite a ride, I must say! It's difficult at times, but if you keep going and use all the help you can get through SheCodes, you can make it safely to the end. Despite some frustrating moments, I really enjoyed this adventure!

Hi, I took some computer science classes in college but couldn't code without looking at examples, or without help. Matt's way of teaching and the challenges has been invaluable; I now code off the top of my head.
SheCodes has been such an amazing experience! I've always been interested in coding and admired people in the profession, but I never thought I would be good at it. Matt made each lesson simple and enjoyable and the live support was a game-changer! If I had a question, I knew I wouldn't be alone. I could go straight to the Slack channel and find a solution from someone else who had the same issue. If anyone is interested in a great introduction to coding, I couldn't recommend SheCodes more! πΈ

I joined the SheCodes Basics workshop to try something new. I was a little worried about not having any prior knowledge of coding, but once I started the lessons I was greatly surprised and intrigued by how the source material was presented, how engaging the challenges were and the flexibility of the workshop. Overall, it was a great and enjoyable experience.
SheCodes is a great program! It has helped me understand computer languages and science. I run my own website so it has been helping me understand how to manage the backend of my development as well as communicate with my team developer when working on new projects:)
The Basics course is great for absolute beginners, and the learning style was perfect for me.
This was sooooo worth it :-) and it was fun! I can only emphasis that I highly recommend SheCodes: Matt and the Team and the workshops!
The course has great and very understandable content with which you can get started with frontend coding step by step. I like that it is completely online, so that you can do the work at your own time, at your own pace, wherever you are! I'm very happy I did it
I finished this in a week because the lessons were great and slack provides that human interaction. a lot of classes are just videos with no way to communicate with anyone regarding questions. This brought me back to myspace days when I would rush home to mess around with code all day!! highly recommend it.
I liked the fact that the course had structure and deadlines. Really helpful in making sure I kept up with the course. The support team was brilliant and amazing at what they do. I did find bits of it slow or tedious - but I actually enjoyed the final project. I will be continuing on to the next course. would recommend for complete beginners. the way Matt talks you through step by step really helps you focus. Would definitely need more time to practise and internalise but like he said...google things you don't understand..watch more videos/youtube etc to help. thanks team SheCodes

Before SheCodes I believed every clichΓ© about programming and I thought it wasn't for me. The free class was very important to demystify those ideas and made me curious to try it out and see if I could do it. Turns out I could not only do it, I could enjoy it.

3 months ago I didn't even know how to write a single line of HTML and now I've created 4 projects with SheCodes! I just turned 42- you are never to old to start something new. Matt and the SheCodes team are absolutely amazing. This is unlike any other bootcamp or workshop you may have tried before. The video's are structured in a way that anyone can learn. The community of teaching assistants Slack and other students are always there to help with any questions. The timing of the workshops can be done around any schedule - work, school kids if you have 15 minutes you have time for SheCodes. Thank you to Matt and the entire team for helping pursue new career opportunities.
Took me a little bit but I finally did it! I just graduated and have been trying to work on my portfolio but have always hesitated because I didn't know anything about code. I'm so glad I was able to build my coding skill and my portfolio at the same time!
This has been an amazing learning experience. I had a limited knowledge of coding beforehand but remembered how much I enjoyed it in school. It would benefit my career so I decided to take the courses. Best decision ever! Cannot recommend SheCodes enough. Great teachers, helpful community, and fun projects. I intend to continue learning and moving forward with their other courses.
This was the best coding course I've ever seen. The syllabus and the videos were perfectly designed to walk you through what you need to know about coding.

SheCodes Responsive is a great course which teaches you from A to Z to create your first portfolio. It gave me a lot more confidence to present myself to my potential future employer and also motivation to continue learning !
I really liked this course so far for its concreteness and helpful hints all around the platform. Even though I took a basic level workshop I was super motivated to collecting more knowledge that extended beyond the basics here. I can't wait to keep coding more.
I really enjoyed the flexibility of the programme and am looking forward to continuing onto the more advanced course!
