I had zero knowledge in coding but had always been very interested. Since I'm in Law it's not usual to have access to any kind of class that would help me get to know this area better but now I can say that I at least know the basics and would be very much interested in continuing with other SheCodes workshops ! Loved the videos and Slack, everyone is very helpful and open to help whenever. Thank you SheCodes, Matt, Joao and my classmates !
I can't believe how much I learned since I started the SheCodes Plus workshop! Thank you SheCodes and SheCodes Foundation, and special thanks to Matt for being such a great teacher. I was overwhelmed at the beginning of the course. I didn’t expect that I would be able to understand the fundamentals of coding. And then the joy has started from lesson to lesson. Matt and the team were well built for this course. Can’t wait for the one. I truly recommended it!
I have LOVED doing this course and it felt like a natural continuation of the skills learned in the first two courses. Joined the 3 week workshop in sole intention to know what is coding all about and if I can get an idea of what these coders actually do😉!!But to my surprise ,Matt's course has designed the classes and exercises,challenges and homework in such a organized,easy and user friendly format that an avid amateur like me who knows nothing about coding or computer functions or computer languages was able to create a nice and attractive webpage at the end of workshop😜!! I was amazed by my learning and how much I learnt about coding and front end skills.Really awesome experience and worth doing this workshop and see for yourself as to how much fun,creative and inspiring it is to learn something which is indeed a great skill and asset to add to your professional profile🎯. I'd been thinking about taking a coding class for a long time, but it didn't know how to start. I saw ad for SheCodes on Facebook and I decided to give it a chance. Matt is great teacher and I really enjoyed first course!
Coding with SheCodes was a great experience in my life and Matt was one of best teachers I've ever had. As Matt always says, I really enjoys every second I spend learn coding and solve every session's challenges. The course was well-organized and clear and I really love it.
When I first started SheCodes, I didn't have a lot of confidence in myself that I would enjoy or understand the basics of coding. It turns out, all I needed was a positive mentor and teacher. Matt always emphasized that coding was fun and attainable during his lessons. When you make a mistake, it's okay, just try again. This workshop really made me understand CSS and HTML. I was so excited that by the final weeks I could predict what was going to happen next and my list of things that I needed to fix aligned with Matt's! Really important since everything is mobile-first these days!

It's been a few years since I've used code to build a website and SheCodes has been great for reminding me of the basics and challenging me to develop my skills further. Matt is explaining why things work (or don't) as well what guiding you through what to do. The short exercises are great for layering up your knowledge.
I love SheCodes! Matt's teaching style fit me well and the structure of the classes helped me stay accountable on my learning journey. I've tried other courses but had to take a break from them because they were overwhelming with information overload. I love how SheCodes teaches you what you have to know *at this level* so that you can practice and apply it. I learned some great HTML and CSS that I wish I learned in other classes, and picked up the basics of Javascript in last week! The final project was also really fun! I highly recommend SheCodes!
Through this SheCodes workshop, I learnt how to make websites that are both responsive and SEO-friendly. I enjoyed the process of being able to come up with my own portfolio design on Figma to then making it come alive using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. I now have the confidence that I need to build more responsive websites in the future, and I hope to use these new skills hand in hand with my other creative skills and interests. I was interested in coding but I found it hard to get started. SheCodes made coding engaging and accessible for beginners! In 3 weeks, I have learned a lot and also gained enough confidence that I want to continue learning to code. Matt is a great instructor who describes step-by-step and provides many tips on the best software and how to make your coding experience easier. The team were also helpful and replied fast when I was stuck.
This course was a challenge -one I am so grateful to have taken on. I learnt so much and have grown far more confident in my coding abilities. There may be more to learn, and always will be, but I realised towards the end of the course that I now had the wherewithal and confidence to tackle any issue. A wonderful course which was so well paced and explained (thank you Matt and team). Being an absolute novice was extremely intimidating...I wasn't sure what to expect. Matt's clear and concise demo/instructions, along with the small challenges allow you to PRACTICE little by little on your own, which surely allows you to build your confidence as you move through the courses. SheCodes has been the most pleasant learning experience of ANY subject I've ever taken, and I highly recommend to any woman willing to take the leap of faith like I did. This has been such an inspiration to me, that I'm taking the SheCodes React program next. I certainly am excited for the road ahead, and wouldn't have the confidence to pursue my career change if it wasn't for Matt and SheCodes!

This journey has been lifechanging. After finishing the SheCodes Basic I was so excited to learn about the world of coding with SheCodes Plus. Little did I know back then, how much I will learn both about coding and about my very self as well. SheCodes Plus dove me to learn more and more, to not be satisfied with the average but to go beyond my limits. I am so very grateful for this opportunity. Even though I was struggling a lot (especially with the unit the conversion lol :D), it brought me an unexpected feeling of satisfaction in the end. Creating something that actually works in the end feels wonderful. Not to even mention the amazing SheCodes team led by Matt in every video that is a pleasure to watch and consisting of so many kind people that always offer a help on Slack. Thank you SheCodes Plus! I highly recommend SheCodes as a platform for you to learn how to code. At first I really don't have any experiences in coding and I used to think that coding is so difficult that I can't never understand. I was hesitant to join at first, as I'm new to coding, and I've got a toddler and a new born. I wasn't sure if I would be able to manage the workload or the complexity of coding; however, the course is broken down in small sections, and is easy to follow along. Matt is also a great instructor; he knows what he is doing and is able to simplify it all. Not to mention the amazing SheCodes team, who are always there to lend a helping hand. I'm really enjoying the course thus far, and I'm excited for the new opportunities that will open up to me.

As a college student during the pandemic I have become well-versed in online classes. However, I've spent the last 5 months learning about HTML, CSS, JS, and React from SheCodes, and I learned more from these workshops than I did my entire freshman year at university. I have enjoyed these workshops so much. I can't believe it's finished!! I highly recommend them. Two months ago I had no idea what a function was, and I today I feel much closer to being able to ask for a job in the industry. A big shout out to Matt, he makes lessons fun, relaxed and also teaches to have patience while learning. It's not easy to teach technical stuff, but having the right teacher makes all the difference. This workshop is incredibly flexible and each module is very clear and understandable. The building blocks add up quickly and you will go from knowing nothing at all about coding (like me) to creating a formatted, interactive document from scratch. I'm really proud of myself for being able to do this in only a few weeks.
I highly recommend this course! I enjoyed coding step by step with Matt. He is great in explaining every aspects of the creation of the weather app from scratch. I am glad I did it and I cannot wait to keep going with the next SheCodes workshop.
So far i'm loving the courses and the way that Matt teaches. You have a great support system with the slack group. I look forward to seeing what pro has to offer. I have been utilizing other resources as well which I think helps the learning process, but it has been quite a seamless transition from a "somewhat tech driven nurse practitioner" to a now building my own sites! I joined the free coding class without any specific expectations and enjoyed it so much that I ended up registering for the SheCodes basics course. I don't regret it at all, I would say I made a great decision because Matt explains everything making it look easy and that makes it more dynamic to learn. I also loved that in every lesson you get to practice what you learnt, which I believe is what makes you actually learn it. I personally liked coding because it is quite interactive and you also feel fulfilled when you see in a visual way what you created.

I had some knowledge of HTML and CSS since I meddled in coding and everyone had blogs in the 2000s. However, I knew nothing of Javascript and knew very little about the several aspects of CSS. What a fun and challenging journey it has been! I now understand why JS tends to give developers a headache 😅I have learned so much, and Matt managed to make all this information so much easier and fun to digest. I loved taking Matt's course and he explains things a lot better than other resources and I've tried several while self-learning. I think it's great how I can always refer back to SheCodes for learning resources. He simplifies a complex process and makes coding exciting! It is also great that the SheCodes team can help everyone figure out their errors and correct themselves versus struggling to fix the code which could take much longer, save yourself the time and stress and take the course!
After finishing SheCodes Basics, I got a message from Matt asking what my next steps were in my coding journey. I had already enrolled in a longer Full-Stack bootcamp so I told him that I had only planned on taking the SheCodes Basics workshop as an intro into coding. Well, a few weeks into the longer bootcamp and I missed Matt's teaching style and the layout of SheCodes so much that I signed up for SheCodes Plus and attempted both courses at the same time! 😍 Not only was SheCodes Plus an amazing experience that grew my knowledge and confidence in coding, but it helped me understand concepts I was also learning in my longer bootcamp. I can't say enough good things about SheCodes. Will I sign up for SheCodes Responsive next, even though I am still in my bootcamp? The answer is probably, most likely! 😄 Thank you SheCodes! 🙌
I really enjoyed learning about coding with this course! Everything was explained so clearly with such great videos. Each challenge was definitely a "challenge" but Matt taught everything in such a way that I was fully prepared to tackle anything. I also really appreciated the support provided on slack and to feel connected to a community. I am really considering enrolling in the SheCodes Pro!!

Started from SheCodes Basics to React, by far this was the most challenging course. No doubt the learning curve for React was steep, at times the new concepts and functions were hard to grasp. However, Matt's videos always made easier to comprehend. I can't believe that I was able to build 2 React apps within 8 weeks! Looking forward to what's coming next
Did it again! I love and look forward to every lesson on SheCodes. With the amazing SheCode team and Matt's calm voice helped me go through this Plus workshop. It has been challenging but also, fulfilling. I'm super excited. I now, have stop doubting myself and it feels like I can do anything! Now moving on to React.....
These first couple of weeks of SheCodes Basics has been awesome, I really enjoyed learning the basics of how to create a landing page! I think so far this was my favorite workshop! I loved learning about the responsiveness and getting insight on how homepage layouts change on mobile devices as well as SEO - something we use every day. I really haven't put too much thought into how all of this actually works so far but it was really, really interesting to learn and actually not as difficult as I thought it would be. Matt is a great teacher and I can't believe how much I have learned in just a couple months. There is one last workshop to complete for me and I am really excited to unlock even more skills and knowledge!

Amazing!! it's such a great feeling to know I have learned a new skill and with it can create projects like the Weather App. There are many pros to SheCodes, but the one thing I absolutely love about it is the fact that Matt teaches with real-life examples.

I love SheCodes! Matt makes everything very easy to understand and even when I get stuck, other members are on Slack who might be having the same issue and you will find what you need. Matt even encourages you to google when you can't find an answer on Slack. I've only gotten stuck twice and found the solution easily by ways of Slack or a simple google search. Matt's voice is highly addictive, lessons are short and sweet, all little projects along the way are motivators and the support team is always there. As a matter of fact I was always intimidated by coding; now I can't recommend it enough. It was a life-changing experience.
When I did the challenges, I barely needed to check for similar problems, I think that Matt explains every lesson perfectly and in a way that everyone can understand, and I think it's exactly what a beginner needs.
It may seem challenging at first but Matt explains it in a very simple way. It is really fun!
I think it was my best decision to join SheCodes! 🤩 This real-life weather app project showed the whole process of development totally from scratch. Starting with just as little as the framework, you continually growing up and gain knowledge on how to build the app step by step, function by function. I would highly recommend this course for anyone eager to learn to creat a webpage. You are led by our instructor Matt and given step-by-step instructions on how to work on your project. Moreover, you can get really creative and implement your own design!
