my time on SHECODES basis was the best ever, it challenged me a bit cause was new to coding but the instructor matt made things easy for me a lot. I enjoyed creating my final project as it also challenged my thinking and skills, I acquired during the 3 weeks workshop program. So if I had to rate my experience I would say 100%.
At the end of 2023, I decided to challenge myself to learn coding again. The instructor simplified everything and made it easier to understand the concept. Thanks to Matt's method, I am able to write a simple code in a few weeks.
After completing the basics course with zero coding experience and unsure how I would do, I found the course to be well explained and fun. I decided to do the 'Plus' course to keep up momentum and carry on my learning experience. I enjoyed this course even more and liked the speed at which the classes are delivered and the explanation as to why things are being done. (Also, Matt's occassional chuckles and reassurances make the classes relatable and easy-going!) I love working things out and am really enjoying learning something that requires problem solving.. Now onto the next course..!
I did no´t know anything about coding. I thought as Matt said in the videos, It was rocket science.. I´m from a different field, I´m from Health science I studied Biomedical Science, and Clinical Microbiology with a master degree in sales and Marketing so I Work in Sales but I wanted to experience a different field to learn something totally new for me. I work a lot of hours during the day and travel a lot (but not for fun hahaha), Despite my busy busy life I could finish the three weeks workshop (In more time of course, because my agenda it´s pretty tight), but The way Matt teaches does everything easier to learn; I love the shorts and practical videos to understand everything. Right now I´m thinking in take a big step to try to learn more about this world, probably soon I will take the maximum level of these workshops. Thank you very much, to create such a magical way to learn a field that looks super difficult and "just for men"...

I've been fortunate enough to have been on a 2 year journey with shecodes; and something that started as a way of staying entertained through covid, quickly became somthing I was excited to come back to. The bite-sized videos and small hands on exercises each week, make it easy to break down and learn a lot of complicated concepts. It's practical and incredibly insightful, not to mention the Shecodes team are always happy to assist with any troubleshooting through slack. I've been extremely grateful to have gone from the intro workshops in HTML, CSS and Javascript, and now rounding it out with React. LOVED this course. I have always preferred self paced courses due to life's natural pivot to chaos. SheCodes has TONS of resources for when you run into a confusing section on a assignment, personal project, or you decide to take creative liberties elsewhere. The classes were very well organized to where I could go back to a previous lesson to help me understand what I'm doing incorrect outside of the course. I was able to learn so efficiently that I was hospitalized for a few days, bed rest for a month, and came back into the coursework with excitement and understanding. I am so grateful for this amazing opportunity to learn coding. I have experienced many educational programs in my life, I am a psychologist-coach, teacher and educational author, and I can honestly say that this was the best course ever. Course structure: The lessons are incredibly well structured, showing excellent insight in what the student is going through. For example, just when I felt like I needed to review the previous material because it was getting a little bit overwhelming, the next lesson - week 7- was a recap in which everything we had learnt was reviewed. Course content: Next to that, each lesson was a tiny step, so I never felt lost or confused. This is a key point to the course: it could seem incredibly overwhelming, but because of the small steps you suddenly arrive at the destination without realizing it! Individual learning path: The program also gives you the option to choose which level you want to engage in. For instance, the final project had two options, a basic and a more ellaborate one. And when working on the weekly challenges you can ask for help or get some hints if you want to. In terms of what we learn, I have consulted with software developers and they say it's a very complete program. Support! The SheCodes team is also very supportive and responsive: they are always available on Slack or email to answer any questions or help with any issues very quickly so when things got challenging it was nice to know that they were there. Their tone was always very friendly and they always put a smile on my face. Also, through Slack, other students help as well. SheCodes community: Last but not least, what really makes this experience unforgettable is the sense of community that the course creates. The SheCodes Radio we got from Matt just did it for me :) :). Thank you SheCodes! I enrolled in the Basic Course and then I immediately signed up for the Max course. Now that the Plus course is almost over, I am so glad I did, because I don't want to stop here! If you doubt whether to enrol or not, just DO IT! You will be so happy you did!

After trying the free class, I was a little concerned about how the lessons would go. But I had nothing to worry about - Matt's explanations were easy to follow, and I liked the provided challenges to help solidify what you just learned. The Slack community was also a great source to ask questions (chances are, someone already asked the same one before!), and so I felt like it was truly self-paced since I didn't need to wait for people to get back to me. I am so excited to keep learning!

I really enjoyed the SheCodes Basics workshop. I've had some experience with HTML/CSS prior to the workshop, but it's been great to refresh my memory and learn a few new things. I really liked Matt's approach to JavaScript, since this was the subject that I was most worried about. But the lessons are understandable, and after a few exercises I've got the hang of it.

I was always very curious about coding and wanted to see if it was something I could learn. I took the free class to get some insight and found that Matt is a fantastic instructor and gave my the confidence to take the Basics class. I have enjoyed the past 3 weeks so much that I want to continue my coding journey. There are so many avenues of support you can receive so you never feel alone throughout the course.
I really appreciate that this add on went in depth on how to make a website more aesthetic and increased my knowledge on how to do themes. I was worried about the final project, but with Matt walking us through I had a lot more confidence.

A fantastic course for beginners! I remembered bits of coding from my earlier years which helped with the challenges. But I really loved learning the CSS and Javascript within the basics course. Matt explained everything thoroughly and he encourages learners to go out and look for coding by checking the source codes on various websites to get answers, ideas and inspiration. I have a full time job as a project analyst and a child to look after and I found 1 week was ample time to complete the lessons and challenges! SheCodes Plus course, here I come!
It's been a fun, challenging and humbling experience learning the basics of coding. I thoroughly enjoyed every step of the weekly challenges. Matt has been a phenomenal teacher by breaking down concepts to easily understand. I love how the program gives one a little independency and allows you to do some research on your own in some challenges. I can't wait to go on into the next course.
Prior to this workshop, I had no experience working with AI APIs or writing AI prompts. Instructor Matt did an excellent job of breaking down the concepts in order to make them easily understandable. The final project was a lot of fun and tied everything together nicely.

I really loved this workshop. It's something i was waiting since i started my SheCodes journey. I simply love creating webpages and giving them my personal design style. This workshop was all i was hoping for: i've learned how to prorpely code a responsive website, transforming designs into code and much more. I loved it so much and i most importantly i enjoyed the portofolio project more than anything. It gave me a lot of inspiration and motivation to focus transforming more existing designs into code. Another stage completed. It wasn't easy, but it was fun at the same time. Thanks to Matt and the simple and detailed way he teaches, I was able to learn the basics (sometimes not so much, lol) of React and knowing that I can now build a more complete and responsive application is very satisfying, even though I have a long way to go to improve my knowledge and techniques. That said, I look forward to the next challenges.

I had a wonderful coding experience in SheCodes basics, and I can't wait to unlock the next workshop so as to upgrade my coding skills.
Now, I can create awesome websites that look good and do really cool stuff. Connecting to APIs and learning a bit of advanced JavaScript was a blast. I was worried about understanding all the JavaScript covered in SheCodes Plus, it covered loads of new topics, but Matt really made sure to explain things to the tea so that it is easily understood.

Matt is very easy to understand and pushes students to take accountability for their learning by encouraging us to research outside of the course when we don't understand or need more information about a concept. Finding info on our own will be a real life scenario, so I appreciate that the answers are not always fed. Still, Matt does answer many of the questions that I feel other courses do not.

It is definitely not getting easier at this stage of the course but working on the practical assignments and building the application from scratch has given me the confidence to tackle some more complex challenges. The program's structure was well-designed, seamlessly transitioning from foundational concepts to more advanced topics. This course is incredibly relevant, and Matt does an excellent job explaining key concepts in a way that's easy to understand. Hey there! So, when I first started coding, I thought it was impossible to understand. But you know what? Each week that went by, I found myself amazed at how easily I could comprehend the material. I owe a huge thanks to Matt and the SheCodes Team for being such great teachers and making the learning process fun!
I am always amazed at how much I have progressed and learned by the end of each workshop and it is also true for the responsive workshop. The responsive workshop is by far my favourite one, we got to learn about media queries, and CSS variables, and also build on the learning from previous workshops. Matt's explanation for each new information we are learning is easy to understand and follow as well as how the learning can be applied in different ways.
I'm thrilled that I finally finished Shecodes Responsive. Thanks to Mattiu and his perfect team who were available any time to answer my questions and problems. I'm highly grateful for Shecode's support of Iranian women.
I'm so glad I found such a great project. I liked everything, Matt explains it in an understandable way, and you can immediately test your knowledge in the Challenges.
