My educational background is in Neuropsychology. Although I was really fascinated by the world of tech, it was at the back of my mind. As a graduate, working in mental health and understanding the vast technology that can be put together to support and help has been at the forefront. Taking on Shecodes has been an exciting journey. I am all done with the basics now, and I am waiting to get onto Shecodes PLUS. It took a lot of discipline and dedication, but if I am honest, Matt makes it fun to want to tune in and engage. I never thought I would build an AI app from scratch but with SheCodes I did! There were some features I had never seen or heard of before. It was a bit daunting but Matt explained them and I was able to do more research about them (thanks to AI) as well. Out of all of the courses, I rank this one in the top 3.
I really enjoyed learning how to build a responsive website. Certainly the biggest mind work out yet, but I loved it! Matt's words at the end about growing the developer mindset and just trying something out even if you're not 100% sure really resonated with me.
Easy and engaging. I've tried other courses before that are very boring and have so much reading. The SheCodes videos are great and I love that Matt doesn't try to get you to memorize hundreds of elements and attributes. He just teaches you how to find what your looking for instead on trying to memorize.
Amazing workshop. Learned so much in such a short amount of time. And I love how Matthew explains everything in parts. I really love coding now and I'm super excited to keep learning and continuing this journey.

I really enjoyed SheCodes Basic course. I had the pleasure of creating a web page from scratch. Coming from the non-technical field area is not a joke. SheCodes is an amazing program to get introduced to the basics of front-end development and experiment with coding. Matt, is an excellent teacher and has created an informative platform for women coders. SheCodes have a great team too. Slack channel was very helpful in solving the doubts. I loved doing the homework at the end of each week lessons. One of the best coding classes I have ever come across.
This was a great introduction to coding. I feel like I know so much more than I started with. Matt was great and explained things well. It was a little challenging at times since everything was so new, but it felt so good when I figured it out.

When I started SheCodes I was a complete beginner. Now I have a basic understanding of what HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are, and I am able to put together a simple website. I've learned how to add links, images, and buttons to websites, and have prompts and alerts based on how the user responds. Matt makes learning easy and fun! The course work is well organized and easy to follow. There is always help available using the Slack app.
