Hello, I was always curious about coding. However, I was so scared to take step forward in this field. But I am so happy that I did and I enjoyed every bit of it. Matt Delac is a very good teacher and illustrator and i find it very easy to learn from SheCodes than from places like youTube and Google unless i am researching one thing in particular. I love how the topics are lined up, makes them easy to understand. They are challenging yes but with SheCodes i stand a better chance of becoming a professional developer.

I did few coding modules in my first year in university, and I found it challenging and disliked it then, but after I joined SheCodes workshop, I fell in love with coding. It is beginner friendly, fun, easy to understand and I am enjoying the projects. to Mattieu Delac, thank you for building such a platform.
SheCodes is one love. Every next workshop gives some new information and skills. Making a web application mobile-friendly is essential nowadays. I'd like to highlight things I liked the most about SheCodes courses: 1) on recorded videos you can see that Matt could mistype or make some mistakes, then he thinks how to correct them, how to improve how web page looks - and it's great that students are able to see real work of front-end developer, not an ideal scenario. It inspires 2) during Responsive workshop students were able to select one of three available option of design for the final project. And I would say nobody was restricted to follow them with 100% accuracy. I like that combination of freedom and template 3) as a result of every workshop a student has a final result that could be shared with friends and colleagues by just sending a link to web page!
This workshop has been an eye opener. Matt is an amazing Instructor and breaks down every topic into very understandable segments. I truly loved taking part of this workshop. I'm looking forward to the next.

I found this to be incredibly challenging; however, I have learned so much during my time doing this. At times, life and work commitments have gotten in the way of my learning; this also made me more determined, particularly in the last couple of weeks, to power on with this. I can see my progress during this, starting as a complete novice to coding before the free taster lesson, Basics, and Add-on courses. I can really appreciate just how much I have learned. The lessons are structured well; Matt gives logic, rationale, and explains thoroughly what is happening. While it is frustrating getting stuck on something, I found it quite reassuring that Matt also had moments where he made an error, which I found incredibly helpful for doing my own detective work to find issues in my code and working back systematically. There is always help on hand in the Stack community, and it's also extremely helpful to read through other people's questions; I found that at times they answered some of my own. I absolutely recommend this course. It's so satisfying seeing and submitting the final project. Don't underestimate taking some time out and coming back to your code with a fresh pair of eyes! I miraculously fixed a number of errors after taking a break!
I already had some experience coding from when I was still in school, but it was never really explained in a way that actually made it easy to understand or fun. Matt did a great job explaining everything, and it was very rewarding to see myself make such progress in a short amount of time. The weekly homework really helped when testing things out for yourself.
The videos were super informative but still easy to understand. Matt is really good at explaining difficult topics in a way that's easy to understand even if you never coded. It's very motivating that your able to a lot of things and see results in a very short amount of time.
I am so glad that I chose to enrol on SheCodes Plus. Although the concepts may be challenging, Matt always explains them very clearly. The project is fantastic, as it gives you the opportunity to take all the skills and new concepts you've learnt and put them into practice. Looking forward to starting Responsive and React :)
I was quite scared to join the course because I am afraid I could not catch up with the new knowledge. I have zero knowledge in coding. To my surprise, this course was quite easy to learn. Matt showed everything step by step and explained everything in details. It easy to understand what I am doing and the logic behind every code.
I've been very curious about learning code for years. But I also dreaded it a lot. I expected a steeper learning curve. Instead, I found that I am enjoying it enormously. I should thank Matt for this, as he showed me that coding can be fun. As the dawn of AI is upon us, I believe that programming languages and human-computer interactions will take their essential places in school curriculums.

I enjoyed this workshop! It wasn't overwhelming and was structured to allow you to continue to apply what you learned. The Slack channel was very helpful in checking if one of your questions had already been answered or if you wanted to ask a question about your code, the support available was great. Additionally, all of the resources Matt provided came in handy throughout the whole of the workshop. Overall, it was a great experience and I would 100% recommend this course for anyone learning to code for the first time or those wanting a refresher like myself!
It is incredible how simple it is to understand Matthieu's classes, even when he says "please pay attention because it might be a little confusing" 😄 SheCodes definitely changed my life and made me pursue a different career than what I thought I was meant to be. I took the SheCodes Basics and the SheCodes Basics Add-On workshops over a year and 6 months apart from each other. I was worried that I would be struggling to understand the concepts I learned the year before but thanks to Matt's teaching style, it didn't even matter! It was like I picked up right where I left off, despite the fact that I had not practiced the code being taught in that time frame. Every assignment was easy to understand and retain and he even had a little refresher at the beginning. It's very forgiving. So if you're worried about doing everything at once, don't. It's very intuitive!
