SheCodes was the perfect way for me to start learning how to code! The structure of the course is really good - with live classes and several tutorials, challenges and homework to work on during the following week. Matt is also super clear during the classes which are so well prepared too. I highly recommend this course for who, as me before, wanted to give a first step into coding. It was a great experience! 😊👩🏽💻
I attended to SheCodes Live Workshop, so I can only talk about that. The course itself is instructed nicely, however I believe the curriculum was not very well suited to the amount of money that you pay (at my time it was 99 euros). you are going to have Courses and homeworks for 2 weeks, and the whole third week is dedicated to your final project, which I believe it could be better if they would have some material for the 3rd week too (Matt is going to have live webinar for 4 times in total, once per week). If you are brand new in coding then yes that is a good way to start. Also the slack-chat environment has a really nice, helpful and friendly atmosphere. BUT for someone who has a tiny little bit of coding experience I wont recommend this course. you should look for more challenging homeworks and syllabus. They are at the starting point though, so most probably they are going to improve themselves a lot.

SheCodes surprised me with what I've achieved in four weeks! The course is accessible for everyone and you don't need any experience. I'm truly happy that I've learned "my first steps' with Matt, our code instructor.

I always thought that programming and code writing wasn't for me. It simply felt like something unachievable, to be completely honest. I am an Engineer student but unfortunately, I was never exposed to code in such a way that felt or seemed attractive. SheCodes workshop is a fast-paced crash course program that gives you a basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript and is the perfect place to understand whether coding is for you without committing too much time or money. SheCodes workshop was an amazing experience for me! I got to learn something that is usually perceived as complex and difficult in a really friendly environment. The program was really well planned and organized, the classroom atmosphere was very relaxed and positive, with classmates helping and encouraging one another during the exercises. SheCodes staff (including volunteers and technical assistants) were very attentive and supportive throughout the weekend and really made a difference in the experience (including Matt's playlists! :)) . Thank you all! I am looking forward to learning more about coding in the next program I got enrolled into - SheCodes Plus - and to build an app at the end of the program.
The SheCodes Workshop has opened a new world to me. I gave it a go just to try a new skill and see if coding could be a path for me. Turns out I have achieved much more than I expected in a fast, but totally effective way. The learning environment is great, with all the girls helping each other and Matt does a great job!

I attended one of the coding workshops in Lisbon. While the 2 day workshop is quite intense and fast paced, Matt's instruction is highly effective. My expectations for the ability to grasp the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript were exceeded. This was a pleasant surprise me as I knew almost nothing about coding beforehand. For any lady who is interested in a career as a developer, SheCodes is the perfect starting point.
Definitely SheCodes was the best way to start learning how to code. This intense workshop gives you the basic knowledge on HTML, CSS, JS and Matt teaches you also how to push yourself further to search for more information about it, in order to improve your knowledge. Coding was "out of this world" to me! In just one(very intense) weekend, Matt was able to teach me in such a way that I was able to come up with a final project that I'm proud of. This intense weekend helped me feel confident that I too can gain this skill! Despite the fast pace, Matt answered every question and the team helped us at every practical challenge. When I started this workshop I didn't know anything about code. Matt managed to explain everything in a very approachable, sucint and humored way. The workshop was very cool. Not only you learn how to code in three different languages, but you also learn the appropriate terminology, a little bit of the history behind coding, resources coders use, and how it is to work in the world of code. Also, Matt is a good lecturer - he's honest, funny, knows what to say in order for you to understand what you are doing and puts up exercises for you to practice what you learned. A very intensive weekend, very fast paced and very productive. Matt has an incredible ability to simplify the coding world by introducing us smoothly to it. I came to this workshop with a little bit of fear inside my heart, doubting I'd be able to go through it, since coding always seemed like such an unattainable task. After SheCodes I can say that everything changed. Matt was amazing and was able to teach us with great aptitude and talent and the course is great at introducing us to the basics. I left the workshop uplifted and with a new goal in my life: to keep learning how to code, because it is fun and challenging! I have to confess I was a bit skeptical about learning coding and any programming language in only two days, but halfway through i got convinced that we could do amazing stuff on the SheCodes weekend. I tried to learn by myself before, there are a lot of theories about how and where we should start from, but none of them worked as efficient and quickly and Matt's way did. To combine the structural languages with a programming one, having people in the room to help you out is definitively the best way to do it if you don't have a clue of what you are doing. This said, obviously i am no master nor any of the girls who started with SheCodes workshop are (yet!), but now we have the basis to continue the work and to do it "our thing" if we decide so.
It was a very good experience and I am eager to learn more! The main diference from other trainings is the broader view that Matt generously introduces as well as the real possibilities in this field. And of course: the bright girls and women that you meet!

She Codes has been another step for me to release my creativity. Yes, contrary to popular belief, coding takes a creative mind ! Such a great experience! All women that want to discover more about coding should definitely do the She Codes workshop! It is the best way to take the first step into this incredible world of coding. I ensure anyone will learn a lot and have lots of fun! Matt is the best teacher and his team is amazing!
It was the first time where I interacted with code and I totally loved it! It was a very intensive weekend, a lot of shared knowledge, experience and also a lot of fun! Matt is a great teacher, he makes it sound almost easy to learn. I highly recommend She Codes to anyone who feels curious about coding and needs a little push to start.
She Codes is a great workshop to learn more about frontend development magic. One weekend where you'll have the chance to understand HTML, CSS and Javascript appears to be a lot but it's possible with Matt's help. She Codes was an incredible experience and definitely worth having! Thank you all :)
She Codes was an amazing chance not only to have an introduction to front-end development but also meeting a lot of great people from very diffrent background giving their first steps into coding. It was an intense course but Matt made it understandible to all and was a very friendly and patient teacher.
"She Codes", it's definitively the best way to start coding! By learning these three languages, we are able to understand how web pages, from our daily, work. Although, this course was a bit intensive, with the Matt's good humour, I didn't feel the time passing and I don't regret for lost this sunny weekend! This was only the beginning!

When we start by learning alone, we always end up discouraging, and here is when She Codes has more value. I realized that it would be a plus have the opportunity to learn to program with Matt, someone experienced, who directs us and make everything much easier and faster. In addition to being a lot of fun we received the first bases for a great career in this art.
