SheCodes Responsive was another great but challenging workshop. I felt during this workshop I really got to learn and implement a lot of fantastic skills. For a long time i wasn't sure what i wanted to do and i tried so many things. I knew always that my love was towards computers and technology. I tried a couple of times to learn programming by myself, but sadly it was so overwhelming and chaotic. Also i didn't have anyone to share my questions or my troubles which made it very frustrating and underwhelming. After 2 years and my life being not very easy i was thinking about my future and what i really love. And the answer was always there: Coding. But i was afraid and i didn't know how to start, till i found out about SheCodes and this amazing community with a really friendly CEO and an incredible teacher, Matt, who helped me found my passion again and this time in a very solid way. My journey won't stop here with the Basic Course, rather the opposite. My journey has just started. ☺

Coding has been something that I have longed to learn for a while. Previously I followed many youtube video but because i did not know which one is the correct path I ended up getting discouraged and stopped. Today I'm super proud of myself for completing the first step to my journey of becoming a Front-End developer. I am very thankful to Matt and the SheCodes team for bringing me this opportunity. With Matt's step by step explanations I managed to learn many new things and applied them to the exercises that we are given. The explanations are so clear and straight forward. It has been such an amazing journey. I'm looking forward to the next step.
I've really enjoyed the SheCodes Plus workshop. Mattheau is really good at explaining everything and has a great logic on how to introduce and relate each topic in a way that it all makes sense and is easy to understand. The workshop is well paced and structured. I work a full time job but still I was able to complete the SheCodes Plus in less than 5 weeks. I was totally new to coding and it´s been a challenge at times to understand some of the things Matt has been asking me to do! But it´s also been a lot of fun and it´s so rewarding to see my finished project. I´ve definitely caught the coding bug, and will be looking for new challenges to hone my skills. I´ d definitely recommend to anyone completely new to coding - the step by step videos, challenges and solutions are a great way to learn.
Matt did it again! This is another great workshop to push our limits. This time with focus on Responsive layout - without using any framework. Pure CSS Grids, HTML Tables, CSS Filters, CSS Hero, HTML Embeds, & Cards. 💪🏼

I am a beginner and before the course had zero knowledge in coding, but Matt explained everything step by step knowing what mistakes beginners usually do and prevented them. I really like it! Matt makes coding really really fun and exciting. I also like that all the challenges really require a bit of Google or analyzing, not just re-creacting stuff. This is how I have learnt something extra stuff. I also like that after every challenge we can watch a solution and there is always something new there. Thank you so much! I took a break between responsive and the add-on, which wasn't the best thing for continued development! But I was so glad that the classes made it easy for me to get back on the horse, and what I really appreciate is Matt not stopping and starting the video when something doesn't go his way. SheCodes Plus was so fun! I was so stoked to have created my very own live website! There were a couple times where I didn't understand the JavaScript, but rewatching the videos helped so much! Matt really explains the JavaScript thought process so well & he's not super technical with his explanation so anyone can understand him. I like how he mentions the common mistakes & he vocalizes his thought process even when the coding goes wrong - it reassuring. 😅 hehe. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed SheCodes Plus, but I still feel like there is plenty more to learn! Can't wait for the next workshop! - Happy Coder 😁
After completing Shecodes basics, I had to keep going and push myself. After completing plus, I feel incredibly accomplished. This program was tough to understand at first but there was no easier way to learn than under Matt's guidance. I had all the resources I needed to be successful. I was not thrown to the wolves. I will continue on my Shecodes journey here and keep learning and growing. I absolutely love these programs and I am excited for the doors this new knowledge will open for me.

This Workshop has been challenging, I almost thought I would give him coupled with the many challenges I faced. It was tough but Matt made the sessions fun and interesting. So many times I had to take long walks, and sometimes I had to take days off, but I realized every time I completed a week and submitted the Challenges, I felt this sense of fulfillment and achievement at the same time. the way Matt went through each week was like a refresher course which was very helpful. I am so grateful for this opportunity and I do not take it lightly.
I really enjoyed this basic course. It was very fun and beginner friendly. I really liked the assessments we had along the way as they helped us to apply our knowledge and identify any areas of weakness. I would highly recommend this workshop to absolutely anyone who is interested in pursuing coding as a career or even as a hobby. The lessons are explained in a matter where it is so easy to understand. I am taking this course while working over 65 hours a week at my current employment, and it allows me to understand in a short time and successfully complete my assignments. If i can do it anyone can do it.
This was an excellent course that was chocked full of really easy to understand modules. As someone who knew nothing about coding before starting this, I really appreciated the style of the videos, the online support, and the opportunity to come away with solid coding knowledge. Matt's passion for what he does shines through and really helps to get you excited about coding, while also making you feel like it's not rocket science and there are very logical steps to achieving the type of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc that you want.
I have really enjoyed this course! I always thought I would never be able to code, since I have never been particularly good in maths or scientific subjects. However, Matt has taught us that there's no need to be good in these disciplines to learn how to code. And he was right! I am looking forward to seeing where this journey will take me next :)

Learning React was challenging but the dopamine rush that you get when you fix those silly little mistakes such as forgetting to capitalize something or forgetting a comma, and then suddenly your app looks awesome and everything works the way you intended is so so so great! I will keep learning React because as Matt said, the best way to learn is to keep practicing it until everything makes sense.

The time flew and I finished my 8th Workshop. I should say that React was the hardest Workshop, but thanks to the SheCodes Team, the colleagues in Slack who answered all my questions and more, and of course Matt who explained really well, the end was really nice to learn. For someone without any Tech background, almost 40 years old, I could say that I recommend SheCodes for all the women who want to have all the ground knowledge about Front End. SheCodes is amazing! I got stuck a few times but was provided with many resources to solve the problem. Matt is encouraging and realistic about all of the activities.

I did the whole SheCodes Basic course! It was fun and easy to understand. But like everything else, coding needs a LOT of practice and I'm looking forward to practice some more. SheCodes Basic was a great introduction to coding, I had so much fun learning how to use HTML/ CSS and JavaScript. Matt gave a great overview on what to expect when learning code. For someone who had literally no knowledge of coding, learning to code can be daunting but the SheCode Basic course made me feel confident and left me wanting to learn more, which is something I will definitely pursue.
Shecodes is an amazing platform for women to learn coding! I loved it and learnt so alots. It was interesting, fun and very well designed and structured. the lessons by Matt Delac and the support from the polite and hardworking Slack team were amazing and kept me going.Thank you so much for providing this safe, non-judgmental, incredibly helpful and informative space and platform for women to be introduced to and learn how to code.
