The Shecodes Plus offered to me as a Foundation Candidate helped me in Developing my skills from Basics to Plus. Now I'm able to create a website. I enjoyed the CSS. Doing this part of the course was very challenging, the tasks became more complex, but through the homework projects given, each challenge got better. I highly recommend practicing same time when Matt is explaining to ensure full understanding.

This was the toughest course from SheCodes by far! Not cause of Matt's teaching, but because React is difficult. The course is broken into bite size chunks and I'm really proud that I managed to make a working React Weather App by the end <3

I went to this course to boost my web development skills, following Matt's steps, I have built a real challenge weather app with Vanilla JS. I admit the 8-week course has been tough and sometimes a bit frustrating, but this is how resilience is now one of my skills.

I started off as a complete beginner not knowing a thing. I decided to take a chance one day and joined a free class, safe to say I was sold. I applied through the SheCodes Foundation and got accepted. I began my coding journey with SheCodes basics and was amazed by all of the things I was able to do with a few lines of code. Matt is an amazing teacher and explains everything so well. I enjoyed all the challenges as it made you think about every possible solution and although the homework made me want to cry when I finally got it right, I was super proud of myself. Overall, I would give this course a well-deserved 10 out of 10.
I would like to say a huge thank you to Matt and his team who were involved in SheCodes Plus. Diving deeper into HTML, CSS and JavaScript Matt came closer every week and prepared his students to create their first weather app. Having seen what can be created with the help of these tools that we used, I want to gain even more knowledge and skills in order to become more perfect.
Oh my Lord, This workshop was so far the hardest I have to say, If you are NOT well organized your responsive will be a nightmare. I absolutely loved building my AI recipe generator! I love how it turned out! Matt as always, is amazing at explaining things in ways that really make sense!
I really enjoyed building this landing page, where we learned to apply advanced techniques like CSS Filters, CSS Hero styling, HTML tables and Embeds as well as pure CSS grids and CSS responsive grids. Building a fully responsive website without using frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind, felt enormously empowering. Thanx to SheCodes and Matt Delac for another grand workshop.
I thrive on healthy challenges, and this project provides exactly that. Initially, I felt overwhelmed, so I took a much-needed break as advised by Matt. Upon returning, I felt refreshed and ready to tackle the project. This program encourages critical thinking and problem-solving from every possible angle. I'm grateful for both the new lessons and the refreshers it offers.

Lessons are very structured as always. I love that we are building towards working on building a functional web application, and the lessons throughout are broken down to teach the essentials we need to learn for the HTML, CSS, and JS + how to use GIT and deploy the website in the end. Felt like we have a goal to work towards while learning the harder concept. It's also always so good to see Matt code it from scratch at the videos and see the way he tries to debug the code when it's not working. so helpful.
I have zero background in the tech industry but after seeing the wonderful work life balance it has offered my husband, I became interested. I was scared to switch from something I am just getting comfortable with (nursing) and going to the complete polar opposite end. It really is like learning a new language but Matt and his SheCodes team have done a wonderful job of fitting it into bite sized pieces and offering enough opportunities to practice that you will in fact start speaking the language! It's a lot of fun. The best way I can describe it is being in an art class that asks you to replicate, or create, a piece of art with whatever means you know to get to it and its a puzzle! No one code is the same but the end product is very similar.
As amazing as the previous course. It offers a perfect balance between guidance and freedom. Matt explains everything step by step so you can't get lost, your homework is checked so you know you're on the right track, but you're also encouraged to incorporate your ideas into the coding and free to work at your own pace. The lessons motivated me to find out more about each topic and the project left me hungry to learn further.

React was a bit hectic although I learnt a lot of advanced shortcuts towards coding, it was a lot of work, but I easy understood everything with the help of Matt and Discord.

I joined this programme thinking I'd have a mountain to climb but I'm glad to say it was more of a walk in the park. I never thought coding or just creating a landing page would be something I could learn and do!!! I am actually still in disbelief after creating my own landing page (I think my personal creativity let me down though lol). I have also heard that JavaScript is so complex before learning how to code, and honestly I really understand the basics. Matt is such a great teacher and the SheCodes team as well as Athena (SheCodes' AI assistant) are always a great extra help. I 100% recommend this workshop to beginners especially those who are doubting they could ever learn how to code.
I learned how to harness the power of Bootstrap, Figma, and other tools while building on the coding knowledge from previous workshops. As always, Matt did a great job explaining concepts in simple terms. It was a fun experience to create a responsive multi-page portfolio.
