Having experience working with design software's like Photoshop and Illustrator the concept of CSS was fairly easy to grasp and made sense. JavaScript was a completely new language to me but reminded me of DAX functions that I've some, but limited, knowledge of. I consider myself more creative than analytical and the logic of JavaScript took some time figure out. The workshop was a lot of fun and Matt is very pedagogical and made it easy to follow and not get overwhelmed. The lessons gave me a great foundation to build on and now I know what to look for when I inspect the developer tool in the browser. The course left me wanting to learn more!

Well, what to add. The structure of course, hints from Matt, everything, literally everything was so good that I was able to do final project for 2.5 hours. Of couse, before of it were weeks (including so needed extensions) dedicated to deep learning of documentation and investigating, but in the end I'm very proud of myself. I did it, and you will.

I just finish SheCodes Basics and I was so motivate for learn more than I immediately started Basics Add On, even was Tuesday and all the courses start at Monday. I didn't want to wait another week :) Sometimes is a little bit harder because I have a 4 months old baby and I can only study at nights, but the way of the Lessons and how easy Matt explains, make smoothly that you can make more than 1 lesson at once. I've been already enrolled in Plus Workshop and I can't wait to keep learning.

It was immensely hard to make myself go against the flow and finally try doing what I actually secretly always aspired to try my hand at: coding. And I'm thankful that at that moment of decisiveness it was SheCodes I found. Navigating through it itself is quite an ordeal if you ask me, as there are so many fields and specialities and pipelines and skills required depending on the former mentioned and later omitted etc. But during a free introduction class which I was kind of sceptical to take at the beginning, Matt managed to keep it short, specific and really easy to wrap your head around. Yes, this was just a tip of the iceberg, but now that it has been reached, I felt like I could somehow see myself a person who goes on this adventure. The feeling was refreshing and, surprisingly, it never faded during the whole Basics Workshop. Here comes the "secondly". I was so happy to observe and experience how SheCodes works as a platform. Starting with design and going all the way to how neatly and user-friendly both the classes and the support are organised. The whole learning process just feels so natural and chill, the possibility to ask for an extension along with short and easy-to-understand lessons made this workshop somehow fit me like a glow. Last but not least, the content of the lessons is remarkable by itself. True, you will only hone some very basic skills, but if you want to continue learning these same skills would work as a pretty solid fundament for your future achievements. Still, if you want to join the workshop just for fun or for challenging your brain, you will complete it with a very real and very your own landing page to boast about (or to even use, why not) anyway. A win-win situation, if you ask me. To wrap it up, I want to thank Matt and SheCodes team for making entering the industry easily instead of gatekeeping it from beginners. Also, I'm endlessly grateful for the chance to study for free at these dire times! SheCodes must be known by everyone just for its Foundation program alone. And to all these still wondering whether to try it out or not: do not hesitate, you won't regret it.

What an amazing yet scary journey! This being something completely foreign, made it both scary and frustrating. However, I best channeled that energy by pushing myself to learn more and do more, and soon enough, the fear and frustration, added to the excitement - it motivated me to keep going. This has been a life-changing experience. I never thought I would embark on a journey to learn how to code because, in reality, opportunities like these are far too few for Black women, where I'm from (earth) and I am truly grateful for the opportunity and the doors that this course will open. I am sad this chapter is finished but extremely excited for what's yet to come!! This has been the most engaging online course I've ever enrolled in. I cannot thank Matt and the SheCodes team enough!

When I started learning coding, I thought this is too hard I won't be able to do this. But then it is not characteristic of me to start something without finishing it, so I pressed on and watched the videos over and over. Matt's videos are apt and I'd say it's been highly rewarding to embark on this journey. I am glad I did and I am so proud of myself. All thanks and credit to Shecodes. Shecodes you Rock!
The Basics Add-on course was great! I found it to be extremely helpful to work along with Matt while he was coding during the different lessons. The add-on course also offered a chance to use what we have learnt over the Basics course.
I decided to continue my SheCodes journey and work towards my Front-end Developer certification. It is exciting to learn more about coding and creating web pages. I never thought I would like coding, but now I absolutely love it. Thank you to Matt Delac and the SheCodes team for the inspiration to become a Front-end Developer.

Before SheCodes, I knew nothing about coding although I had attempted to learn online but I just couldn't understand and had no direction as I didn't know where to start. But Matt is such an amazing teacher and breaks down concepts so well that when you use another platform to learn and understand more, it all just makes sense. I thoroughly enjoyed learning with SheCodes!
This has been such a journey for me I began coding last year, but took a break from the course to improve my knowledge more in Frontend languages like Javascript and ReactJs. Matt's teaching accompanied with his amazing assistances who were helpful throughout the entire course were wonderful. Thank you for the skills that will carry me through my journey in tech I am very appreciative.
I loved getting back into coding after some hiatus with the new lessons and projects. It was really fun to learn together with Matt again and always the explanations were easily understandable and I loved that he repeated a few things from the past, because it made it easier to remember what I have already learned and haven't used for a while. Can't wait to continue with the rest of SheCodes Max and become a Front-end Developer. 🚀
I have tried other web courses and always got frustrated and gave up because it was too much information and I couldn't keep up. With SheCodes, I can follow the lessons and practice at the same time, while doing the challenges. Matt explains everything very clearly and in detail, which makes learning easier. Also, the support on Slack is amazing, both from the other students and the SheCodes assistants. I am excited to start the next module. ☺️
