As someone who had absolutely no prior IT experience, the course was not as tough as I thought. Our instructor, Matt thoroughly explained each and every step which made it so much easier for me. I just love how SheCodes is a safe space for women and I definitely recommended it for every woman wanting to break into the tech industry.
Imagine, within 8 weeks, you can learn how to code your very own weather application? With SheCodes, I was able to do so! All the topics were covered. Different tips and tricks when it comes to coding were also shared, and Matt is a very effective instructor. He explains the concepts in the simplest ways possible. I won't forget the SheCodes support team, as well, as they were always ready to lend a hand whenever I got stuck on a particular topic. I'm now able to apply all my learnings to my school projects. There are so many resources on SheCodes that can easily make it a playground for coding! The Slack group chats are very helpful too whenever I find myself stuck on something. As an aspiring developer, I look forward to learning more from this community and the lessons made by Matt!

I really enjoyed the lessons! Especially that after each lesson there is a challenge where you can consolidate your knowledge, and not just watch the video! Also great homework, my favourite is the weather page! I used to develop websites only on website builders, and I never would have thought that I could do it with a code! The SheCodes Plus workshop was challenging at first but as time passed I understood more of what I was doing. Matt makes coding easy as the content is explained in a manner where one can understand all the concepts and how they are applied in real life🤗.

I've loved learning again at my age, it's been fascinating working behind the scenes after being a graphic designer since the late 80s. I am super impressed with the set up of SheCodes and the very clear way in which the fantastic tutor, Matt, is able to explain the most seemingly confusing new language of numbers, letters and punctuation marks. I highly recommend this course, not just for those seeking a new career in coding but to widen your knowledge and have a better understanding of what your web designers do all day!
I was really nervous starting out at the workshop and I thought it would difficult for me but it has actually been the opposite. Before this course I could not have opened html and known what I was looking at. Now I can comfortably navigate and make a single page with interactions. This course means so much to me. So grateful that Matt and his team cared for those of us that don't have any other way of learning these skills at this price. I can't wait to keep learning and build on this knowledge foundation.

I am very grateful to Matt for helping me learn how to code via Shecodes. I am a mom to an 8 month old baby and it was not easy having to attend class and take care of my baby at the same time. However the way this workshop was design, it made it easy for me to learn whenever I was free. Due to this program I am now very much interested in doing more coding and furthering my studies.

Having completed the SheCodes Basics program, I was initially apprehensive about whether I would be able to keep up with the curriculum as it involved a new programming language (Javascript). However, from day one, Matt's lessons were comprehensive, the community was supportive. As I said in the previous testimonial I gave on completing the Basics, what I appreciated most about the SheCodes was the emphasis on hands-on, project-based learning. Instead of just reading about coding concepts in a textbook or watching lectures, we were actually coding from day one. Not only did this help solidify the concepts we were learning, but it also made the learning process more enjoyable and engaging. It's undeniable that there were hard times but going through the videos and working on the weekly projects helped me get better at it. Overall, I cannot recommend SheCodes enough to anyone interested in pursuing a career in coding. The experience was challenging, rewarding, and ultimately life-changing. Thank you for everything!
I spent weeks trying to learn HTML, CSS, and Java script. Matt explained it clearly in 3 days. I learned how to implement new design ideas and use basic functions. I am extremely impressed by this workshop. Since the workshop is go at your own pace, I completed the entire workshop in 3 days time and built a basic functional website that is appealing. Thank you!

Within 3 weeks with SheCodes, I've learnt how to do a landing page that I'm proud of. I can say that SheCodes helped with my confidence and self-esteem in this last few weeks. I never thought in my wildest dreams I'd ever find myself saying, "I love > code!" and I pretty much have Matt Delac and the amazing team at SheCodes to thank for that. They navigated me through this journey with such great ease and structure. On the days when it seemed like I just couldn't pull through, they ensured that I had access to all the necessary resources and they have such an amazing support community that's eager and ready to help at each step through the program. I really enjoyed this workshop, it give me a different perspective on coding I've never had before (and I've worked for over 8 years in the SaaS industry 😬 but in the Customer Success department). I've been away from coding for a wee while, I needed to get up to speed again, quite quickly. SheCodes Basics is a good course for newbies or those like myself who want to jump right back in with both feet and rediscover the enjoyment of coding once again. Individual experiences will vary, of course, but I found Matt's explanations of HTML, CSS and JS + related content really easy to understand. I love the PowerPuff girls-esk branding and the positive, supportive vibes from the SheCodes Slack community and the library of provided tools and resources from Matt. The feedback on weekly assignments, plus the accountability from setout timeframes is great for someone like myself with ADHD.

When I first started coding with sheCodes Basic I did not have any idea what I was doing. But after completing basics I got some confidence in coding. Also, I found it super fun thing to do. Today after completing the Plus workshop I feel like I have chose the prefect career for me, all thanks to SheCodes and Matt. The way this workshop is designed is awesome from basics to advance level. The online slack community is very useful, whenever I get any confusion I ask question on the slack and someone from the team get back to me really fast. Recently they have introduced Athena AI which I believe is super cool and useful feature. She could even write you a code if you are not sure how or from where to start. I am really very excited to start my next workshop- SheCodes Responsive😃.
it was an interesting experience🥰 i really enjoyed learning responsiveness using both the normal method and bootstrap. Though it can be time consuming but Matt is an amazing teacher 👨💻 and with what i have learnt i have gotten the courage to bid for freelancing works as a web developer. can't wait to learn Reactjs. I have really enjoyed learning something completely new and different from what I am used to.
