A challenging but extremely fulfilling next step on my journey of learning to code. A fairly big jump from Shecodes Basics but, again, I'm just so glad a course like this exists! Re-coding the same web app from scratch in the final two weeks was an excellent way to cement the knowledge of everything learned along the way. One of my favourite things about this course was actually its 'imperfections'... Matt making mistakes and still including them in the final recordings helps give a realistic view of the process of coding - no better way to learn than from mistakes! The Shecodes slack was incredibly helpful when something wasn't working out too. Thank you 💜

Growing up, I never saw myself being in the "tech world" because I always thought coding so difficult and only for "smart" people. SheCodes helped me realize that I'm also as smart as anyone out there and I'm glad I challenged myself by signing up for this workshop because it brought me so much joy to overcome the doubts I had about myself and showed me that I can do anything that I put my mind to no matter how difficult I think it is.
First Time learning how to code and I cant believe how far i've come. Matt explains each subject in such a way that a complete beginner with zero Coding experience can understand. This add-on is a nice little two-week addition to the Plus curriculum. I am encouraged to solidify my knowledge of concepts from earlier lessons and challenged to learn just a little bit more than before. These were the longest 8 weeks of my entire 26 years ,but i wouldn't trade them for anything because they have equiped me with such incredible skills and knowledge! I went from only being able to create a static page using HTML,CSS and basic JavaScript to creating my own weather application, which for me is beyond greatness because when i first started i didn't even know what HTML Elements were😂🤦♀️. I am going to keep working on mastering these 3 languages and add a forecast to my pride-themed weather application. I am grateful to Matt for making my coding journey so much fun and easy, he really knows how to explain things in a way that even if its hard you finally get to the point where you're like,"oh yeah, i see it now" and that is the best feeling. This was a really fun workshop! I learned so much about how to make a webpage responsive and SEO friendly, as well as how to link multiple webpages together. It's been a while since I started my coding journey, and what can I say? It's been a rollercoaster, but definitely worth it. I went from not knowing any coding to coding a whole functional website, and it's all thanks to Matt's teaching and the lovely community of She Codes. If you're looking to start, just start, for the only regret you will have is not starting earlier.
