SheCodes Plus has been an exciting and interesting course that has allowed me to explore and further develop from the basic coding knowledge learnt in the previous course. Although some of this content was more complex, the lessons broke everything down into easy to follow steps and support was readily available from the SheCodes team if there was something I needed extra help with. Thank you Matt and SheCodes Team, i'm looking forward to starting the next course already!
This workshop is brilliant! I enjoyed every lesson. It is well-structured and easy to understand. Indeed, there are so many things to do and learn, but I feel I am on the right track. React workshop was an amazing experience!! Creating my a weather app in React was very fun and exciting. It was a bit challenging but this Matt has taught us so much about React! So grateful that i decided to take the leap and get out of my comfort zone and sign up for SheCodes. I am very excited to continue my coding journey.
I have been looking for a career change for a while where I can learn new things every time. I'm from a hospitality background where everything can be very repetitive. I'm glad I found the SheCodes, I never thought I will enjoy coding this much not knowing anything about it before. I thought it was very hard to learn but Matt made it very easy to understand.
I think I took every possible route into coding. Originally I started off of youtube university which was ok for the most part but I needed more guidance on the order I should learn things. I thought I'd join a bootcamp and by the second day, I was completely lost. I knew that I really wanted to code and it became a bit discouraging feeling like I couldn't grasp the information given. I gave it one more try with SheCodes basics and I am so glad I did. Matt explains everything so well especially for beginners with his metaphors and reasonings, I'm able to see code in my everyday life! I love that SheCodes challenges me through every lesson, I picked up so quickly and even had the confidence to help others with the same situations I faced. I'm so pleased to be apart of the SheCodes family!
I have a full time job and was more than able to keep up with and enjoy the class material, even with my work schedule. Matt has a great teaching style, easy to understand. I learned a lot very quickly, and am seriously considering sinking the money into one of the longer workshops. Fantastic experience.
I just uploaded a web application for weather report along with forecast for the coming days. I wrote all its codes myself. I understood it line by line. I joined this course because I wanted to really learn how to code and the basics was really superb. Being SheCodes Basic my first programming experience ever, I was hesitant that I would not be able to follow the lessons and fail in my quest to learn the basics of programming. Oh my goodness! I had so much fun and learnt so much. the lessons are not overwhelming at all, Matt explains every line of code. I had so much fun with this workshop. I was first curious and after taking the free coding workshop I knew I wanted to learn more. Coding has become a fun and creative way to create pages about things I like, while also learning skills to benefit my career growth. This was a really challenging! JS is something that makes my head turn around, I cannot say that I am completely comfortable with it. The lessons are very clear, watching coding step by step really helps as some things are really confusing. What I like the most – that Matt is explaining the logics behind every move he makes and underlines that there are more ways to achieve the same result. He pushes to find thing out by myself. Only that I feel that my brain in a bit behind still :) I hope that with time and more coding I will get used to JS and it will get better.
Matt's lessons are very well presented and easy to understand. This course allows you to learn while watching, with hands on challenges and homework. It is also nice to have help when needed on Slack.
React workshop is the last one in a series of Shecodes workshops I took part in. It was more tough with challenging homework but finally I could make it with the guidance of my Shecodes tutor Matt via lessons. The skills from this workshop will be really invaluable! I have particularly enjoyed this course because it's definitely boosted my confidence when it comes to JS functions. I do admit React can be quite counterintuitive at times but Matt has done an excellent job at explaining the process step-by-step. I am so very grateful to SheCodes for everything I have learned, I can't wait to learn more about React as it's definitely the field I would like to steer my career towards.
My husband is a web developer and has always encouraged me to learn how to code. I wasn't sure if I would like it so was looking for an introductory course that I could fit around working and being a mom of two young kids. I liked how I could do the lessons from home at times that suited me. The home work deadlines kept me accountable and encouraged me to stick to my learning schedule. Matt is a great instructor and my favourite part of the course was the challenges.

Round 3 of SheCodes workshops was as informative, interesting and entertaining as the first. I was able to use many of the HTML and CSS techniques we learned in Basics and Plus. I really enjoyed the creative freedom we got for this portfolio project. Though there were some moments of confusion and stress with my code, I was able to pull through with the help of Matt's lecture videos and the slack chats of fellow SheCodes students. I am really happy with my project and I can't wait to start on SheCodes React and Add-on projects.

A really hectic week. Very challenging, very informative. I've learnt so much from Matt's classes, the program is very supportive. I also love how the team isn't spoonfeeding, and leaves room for you to consult other resources such as Google in order to find ways to deal with other challenges as well as be creative. Genuinely loved every step of the way.

I found this workshop very intuitive and very enjoyable; Matt and his team did a really lovely job breaking everything down into digestible pieces. I've taken a few online courses over the years, but it is safe to say that SheCodes tops them all by far. Matt is highly skilled at breaking down complex information into manageable and understandable chunks in a logical order that allows you to gradually build a solid foundation of knowledge, which is further reinforced by the demonstrations and examples provided in the lessons, and your own practice via the lesson challenges, homework and projects. As a visual and practical learner, these methods have helped me so so much, and I've learned and retained so much more than I was ever expecting. Kudos to Matt and his team for developing a fun but informative way for women (especially busy working class females) to learn coding. This is a course that every female should pursue because not only are you armed with another skillset, but you will be in a network of smart females. My feedback on this course: I got value for my money, course was presented in a well written and sequential way. The course weekly assessments were of very high standard and the entire hands-on approach was what made this course suitable for females of every walks and background. I strongly recommend this coding course to every single females in every single country around the world!!!
SheCodes React was definitely the most challenging of the courses but totally worth it! I would highly recommend SheCodes. Not only is Matt a great teacher, but the fact that money from the workshops goes to fund the SheCodes Foundation to support women around the world is a bonus. Until now I have struggled with coding, it never seemed to 'click' with me. After being laid off from work the week before Christmas I decided to do something to boost my hireability. After completing this workshop I actually feel that I can code. It has been a major confidence boost and I look forward to continuing with more advanced SheCodes workshops.
