SheCodes Basics was very helpful for someone like me who is totally new in the IT or coding industry. The instructions in each video by Matt were very clear and precise. The basic fundamentals that he taught us in each video were easy to follow and replicate in exercises. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested to learn more coding.

This is my second coding workshop with SheCodes and I would highly recommend signing up if you want to get into coding. I never considered coding, I've been in the healthcare field for 8 years. Since COVID it's been tough, and I was at a point where I wanted to do something, but I wasn't sure what. I came across an ad on Facebook for SheCodes. I thought "why not check it out?". I originally believed it was all about math, but was I wrong. After the introduction session, I signed up right away with SheCodes Basics, just to get my foot in the door and see what it was all about. Matt made it easy to follow along with the videos and the fact that even though after you submit you are given the solution, there's no one way to solve it. Knowing this, it made it all the better to not feel as if there's only ONE right way to do something. I've genuinely enjoyed myself so far and considering going back to school to turn this into a possible career for myself!

Absolutely loved the Responsive course. I already did SheCodes Basic and Plus, and Responsive is my favorite one so far! Learning all the Bootsrap tricks, deploying the website to Github, transforming a Figma design into code, and improving overall coding skills really make this programming journey rewarding. I learned a lot and really enjoyed creating the Portfolio webpage, so much that I even created two: my personal portfolio page, and an artist page. The course is very well constructed – the instruction videos by Matt are concrete and easy to follow, and are a really clear explanation for the corresponding homework assignments. When getting stuck, it was really easy to reach out to tutors and get all the help I needed on Slack, a special thanks for that!
I am very glad to have experienced React with the help of the SheCodes team! and oh boy, it was challenging but it was fun! Quite excited now, to start building more apps and refer back to these lessons when I need to! Thank you again Matt and the SheCodes team!
Believe it or not, I was skeptical (at first). I did not envision this introductory coding workshop to be THIS fun! I really enjoyed it from beginning to end! 10/10! 😊 Not only did they reinforce what were taught during the lessons, the weekly challenges and final project allowed for creativity, and actually motivated me to enjoy the coding experience even more! Slack was amazing as well! As someone with limited coding skills, these hands-on lessons gave me the confidence, now, coding in HTML/CSS/JavaScript and not scare me away! I knew nothing about React, but I learned a lot from this. I went through the videos and built my site as we went. Then, I tried altering the source code from Matt and building it. I got awesome results and learned a ton both ways. I'd recommend building the app multiple times with different methods for the best results!
I absolutely loved it! In just 3 weeks I learned so much. Matt has managed to break down all the information into easy to digest lessons. I especially loved the challenges and weekly deadlines. I can't wait to start the next course!
A rather brilliant introduction to the coding basics. Matt doesn't bombard you with too much information, but instead focuses on the core foundations you need to know to make something simple but effective.

Hello, I think taking Shecode workshop was defiantly a great decision. At first I was a little hesitant because I’m a busy mom of two toddlers. I spent about 1-2 hrs per day on the lessons. Matt is at amazing teacher he really breaks down each lesson for easy understanding. This workshop was 3 weeks long and it covered the fundamentals . I would defiantly take more shecodes workshops.
My journey as a frontend developer, has been an interesting one, Courtesy to Shecodes I can make a page responsive using media querry and bootstrap fot this has always been a challenge, but with matt class, i got a better understandeing on how to go about it an i got better. thanks shecodes for this great opportunity.

Coding is mostly PRACTICE and Matt knows it well, taking the education system to another level: smart, fun and productive, focusing on quality over quantity, as lessons are short but they give you ALL the tools you need to start coding on your own. SheCodes learning path is as simple as it is effective, and it is "programmed" for literally anyone. In only three weeks I was able to build a project which I really love and I am very proud of. And last but not least, the SheCodes Community is always there to whatever difficult you may encounter and is so supportive! Thank you SheCodes, I'd recommend it to anyone!

Just completed one more amazing WorkShop from SheCodes: React. It was new and challenging, I followed step by step Matt's lessons and then watched them again and again and redid the project few times but in the end I did it! Thank you for the great opportunity to learn and believe in myself.
I enjoyed learning about different programming languages other than R and Python, having experience in both helped me understand HTML, CSS, and Javascript more easily. I greatly enjoyed the creative aspect of CSS with all of the aesthetics that could be altered for the project. I also both hated and enjoyed functions in JavaScript and enjoyed learning from both Matt and looking for information and tutorials online. This was an enlightening experience and I have to say - more fun than function writing in Python.
I only just recently graduated from university and found myself questioning what the next chapter for me is. As I continued to do so, I bumped into SheCodes, allowing me to expand on other possible future careers I may be interested in. So far I only completed the first workshop which to my surprise was actually really fun and simple to follow thanks to Matt and his very helpful videos. Would strongly recommend SheCodes to anyone that is looking for a website that contains all the sources they need to learn the basics of coding - HTML, CSS etc.

I LOVED SheCodes Responsive. It's really exciting to learn how to make content responsive, especially in this mobile device heavy world. It was really fun being able to build a functional personal website as well. My greatest lessons from this project was to not overthink creating a dark theme page and to remember to edit photos before adding them to my html, not editing them in CSS. 😩 #matttaughtme
SheCodes provided simple and easy to understand tools, demonstrations, and platforms to use to ensure my success. Each lesson is broken down into short tutorials which held my attention and made it easier for me to refer back to specific topics when I needed to. As a busy mother who has to stop and go throughout the day, I did not feel overwhelmed with the lessons and challenges and I was actually excited to learn more and more each day. Our instructor, Matt, also allows us to learn from our mistakes and get into the practice of breaking down and inspecting code, so we gain as much understanding as possible. 100% recommend to ANY busy mother or woman who wants to jump into tech!

I came into the course with absolutely no knowledge or experience of coding. The first week was a bit overwhelming (as Matt predicted), but I am amazed by how much I learned and how much I was able to accomplish (through a lot of trial and error) in three weeks. The course is very well-organized, and the support of the SheCodes team very timely and effective. Initially, I did not believe that I would experience coding as a creative process. I was wrong.

I have had so much enjoyable time learning react with SheCodes; I had tried to learn react with Youtube videos, spent months on them, not much of a progress or a good foundation I could get...and here, thanks to Matt and SheCodes Team, in nearly 2 weeks I could understand everything! Loved that we built the same app that we completed with J.S.; this way the differences got noticeable!
A great, challenging course! Matt is an excellent teacher - the material was concise and easy to understand. I loved how well-structured the course is and the focus on practical/hands-on experience. It also helped that the course is self-paced and very flexible. It was fun building a webpage and learning in a supportive community. The Slack thread helped a lot. I don't think I would have had the motivation and guidance to learn coding by myself, so I highly recommend this course.
When I first heard about SheCodes, I wanted to see what it was really about. I purchased just the basic a few months ago, unfortunately I gotten behind. However, When I had the time to really study, that's when I went for it again. I never thought I would enjoy self paced course until I saw Matt's Videos. This project made me super confident to go through the JavaScript functions and looking for some other ideas to make and use the things which I learned within this course. It was super fun and I did never get bored among learning. Thank you Matt for your different teaching method, it is fabulous.

Brilliant teaching, would never have considered coding as a hobby prior to undertaking this class. It was something I never understood when I was younger in school but Matt explained it in a way that I was able to both understand the concepts but also practice them myself.

I have always been fascinated about coding , But either never had the time, thought it was impossible to learn at a short period or that it was time consuming. However to my greatest surprise when I heard about sheCodes from a tictoker, I enrolled immediately with the little money I had not knowing there was "sheCodes foundation" which I applied and my application was approved currently on the waiting list. I have gone ahead to finish the sheCodes basics and I am happy to have finished my project. though it wasn't an easy task juggling work and been a single mum but thank-God I did not give up. I will always recommend sheCodes to everywoman I know. Thankyou matt for making coding easy.🤗

I found the course SheCodes Basics course was a great start for beginners to test the waters in coding. I feel like I learned a lot..I took so many coding courses earlier but didn't finish even one of them. I always felt that coding is not my cup of coffee. SheCodes workshop is the first programming course that I've finished.I finished my course earlier than final deadline. Matt explains things really well and gives great tips on how to be more efficient while coding, I just wish the lessons had more depth and more small challenges.
