Another workshop that taught me to much. I appreciate the flexibility to choose my own topic. I choose to create a website dedicated to pet rescue. Many of my family and friends are involved in or adopted from rescue groups. I wanted to showcase them so all the animals in the pictures were adopted/rescued/fostered by my friends and family. I learned how to embed social media into landing page which will hopefully increase the visibility of the animal rescue groups. I also learned about adding filters directly from the css which made modifying the images a bit easier to fit with the color scheme of the site. As always, the instruction was so well done, teaching not only the information but the process of coding. Thank you Matt and SheCodes. Another well designed workshop.

The project incorporated many of the skills required to build an actual website for a client. It was extremely helpful to watch the instructor, Matt, break down the project into smaller pieces. I loved SheCodes Basics. The short learning videos are almost always accompanied by a practical exercise so it makes it really hands on. I liked that the videos are to-the-point, concise and don't go in too much details. It's not a 3-hour long lecture : after 15min, you're actually getting your hands dirty and learning actionable stuff! For me, it was the reassuring phrases from Matt like "don't worry, nothing's going to explode, it's just not good practice to do it like this" or "this might be confusing but do it like this for now and it'll all come together in the next video" or "ok, this is a hard exercise but you can do it and don't forget the community and tools that can help you" and of course : "Happy coding!".
Joining SheCodes was one the best decisions I have made this year. Matt makes learning the concepts of coding super easy. Another great course taught by Matt who explains everything in such an easy to understand and engaging way! I really enjoy the format of his course which gives you the theory and code along but still enables you to actually code for yourself so you aren't in 'tutorial hell' like other courses
I've absolutely loved my coding journey on SheCodes so far ❣️ Matt is an amazing teacher and his videos were short, to the point and very easy to understand. The best thing about each lesson is the opportunity to immediately practice what you've just learnt. The solution is then available for you to view and check your code / method against Matt's. The project at the end of this SheCodes Basics course has also been really fun and enjoyable, allowing me the opportunity to apply everything that I've learnt over the last few weeks. I can't wait to start my next workshop and continue my coding journey 👩🏻💻 Thank you so much Matt and the SheCodes team for this amazing learning experience ❣️ 10/10!
Coding always intimidated me, it honestly looked like Greek to me. Since starting the Basic course with SheCodes I can say that I enjoy coding, Matt 's lessons are short, easy to understand and enjoyable.

It has been a fun couple of weeks (in fact nights ;) ) with Matt and the She Codes Basic pack! I have enjoyed it and learned a lot.
