After I checked out the free intro class, I was so interested to start as soon as possible. Matt is so good at breaking everything down so anyone can understand the world of coding. The content has been so easy to follow along and I love the fact that I can revisit any previous lessons at anytime! The courses are done at my pace and I am able to soak up all the content Matt puts out fully. I really enjoyed seeing my first project completed, it brought a great sense of accomplishment when I hit that 'submit' button.
My professional background has absolutely nothing to do with utilizing technical skills. The soft skills I've acquired over the years have allowed me to be successful and well-rounded in my current career. However, I have always been intrigued with how and why things work. Web design courses were offered to me in middle school and college, even though it was a love-hate relationship, I loved the experience of creating something instantly. My current position is detailed oriented and the correlation between that and the classes offered by SheCodes made sense for me to change career paths. Technology will always be around and I want to be apart of seeing the growth and development of it. SheCodes classes are simplified and easy to follow. Matt does a great job explaining how and why everything works. I wish I had invested into this sooner!
It's been a month since I started passing SheCodes, a well-structured easy to understand coding program, that keeps you learn more and more day by day, and it's interesting so far! I've learned so much that already can create a small website about anything! Furthermore, I can't wait to see what I'll create in a year with SheCodes. This last module of SheCodes was challenging, to say the least, but extremely rewarding. It taught me that consistency and perseverance are key to accomplishing anything we put our minds to, even if the process might take longer than expected. I absolutely loved building on the learnings from the SheCodes Basic and to dive deeper into HTML5 , CSS and especially Javascript and API. Matt continues to impress me with his great teaching skills! 👨🏫 One thing I really like about all the SheCodes Workshops so far is that we get to design the projects all by ourselves. I don't have to build exactly the same as everyone else, in the end everyone has a completely unique project result. I believe this is very different to a lot of other courses and proves to me, that it was a great decision to choose SheCodes! I am excited to see what comes next and where this path will take me!

The school in my opinion is one of the best for girls and women! Which has no worthy analogues. Very clear and concise, with no unnecessary information laid out. During these three weeks, I learned that coding can be for those who want to learn it and that it is not as difficult as thought. Matt uses very simple language so everyone can understand what is being explained during the lessons. I've enjoyed everything that I learned and I think that I will be investing in my coding skills from now on!
This course pushed me in a way that was super satisfying. I've learned a lot!! I enjoyed it so much that I finished ahead of schedule and I love that I was able to do it at my own pace. I found it really interesting watching Matt code and I think it's great that he didn't edit out his little errors so we can see him correct them. I feel proud of my little weather site and am super excited to jump in to the next certificate!
Very happy but more sad that the workshops are over. I completed all of them with a long break halfway through. React was the best workshop as it was a lot about advancing in front-end frameworks, structuring code and building something very interesting from scratch. The projects were the parts I enjoyed most as for me it is more important to have something to show instead of "just" a certificate. I felt guided and supported throughout the workshops with a great balance between autonomy and dependence. I really liked that Matt is so authentic when the code didn't work, e.g. "my god this is the kind of stuff you could spend hours on fixing this" made my day. 🥐🥰
It was very interesting and challenging workshop! I'm shocked how much I learned, it was difficult in some places, but I could always ask for help and I'm very satisfied with the result. Honestly this workshop was a roller coaster ride. It was tasking in some aspects, I won't lie. I thoroughly enjoyed taking the self-paced Basics class at SheCodes. Matt is an awesome instructor and while classes are pre-recorded, I felt as if they were live because Matt was engaging, entertaining, and really broke down concepts to make them understandable. I loved having the lessons and homework as a I learn by doing. I also had a ton of support with the SheCodes Slack community and was able to ask for help when needed or check the threads for tips and guidance on assignments.

The SheCodes Basics workshop has been very useful for me as a complete beginner and has helped me to start my journey of coding. Reading the good reviews allowed me to trust SheCodes, but I was still a bit skeptical as I wasn't sure if it was for me. However, after just one lesson I was able to understand and learn things I never thought I'd learn. Joining SheCodes has been one of the best decisions of my life. I always found coding interesting but never thought I could do it as I have Dyslexia and struggle to stay focused, so I thought it would be way too hard to understand and learn. The way the lessons are built and presented makes it so easy to get things done because you can take your time, pause the videos and have as many breaks as you need, and Matt explains and demonstrates it in a way that somebody like me can fully understand. Having challenges to do was also really helpful because it's allowing you to practice and make sure you know what your doing before moving on. I would highly recommend She Codes to anyone whether or not you are a beginner in coding or have some experience. Although I had experience in Java and Python, I decided to enroll in She Codes because I'm always looking to improve my coding skills and also wanted to gain skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
