I could not be more grateful for taking up this course. I thought coding was rocket science and something that I would not be able to do. Thanks to SheCodes and this incredible course, I have found out that coding is something that I enjoy doing, which has become my passion!!!. The course's design and the methodology that @Matthieu Melac uses make coding super enjoyable and easy to learn. Even when I got stuck, I discovered how by using the logic part of my mind, I was able to find not just one, but two o more solutions to a problem I can't wait to start SheCodes Plus and keep learning until becoming a professional developer to create solutions and services that contribute to current needs.

I have been wanting to undertake a coding course for a while but have been hesitant to invest time and money into larger courses in case it was not for me, the SheCodes Basics was perfect that I could sample coding and see if it is something I would like to continue with. A nice crash course into the fundamentals of html, css and javascript. Provides good tips with coding that can be applied to future personal projects.

SheCodes Basics is an easy step-by-step course that allows one to build knowledge regarding CSS and HTML. It was a very fun course to start learning coding.
SheCodes was my first ever attempt at coding. The whole process was very easy to follow, the online videos and group chats were a great help! I am very grateful for SheCodes for allowing me to explore the world of coding, I will definitely be completely my next coding course through SheCodes.
When I first began the workshop, I wasn't a stranger to coding but even when you are a computer science student and know the basics of coding, there are so much more that you can learn with SheCodes' workshops. I absolutely loved the content, challenges and the useful tools that SheCodes introduced to me. I now have a complete different perspective when it comes to coding. I'm also so thankful for the very supportive team that helped me with all my questions and problems.

Coding is pretty fun - Matt's step-by-step instructions are easy to follow.
SheCodes made coding achievable by breaking it down into smaller parts. You learn a part, practice your new skill and build on it with each lesson. There are also lots of resources available to help you, and the instructors are always there to help when needed.

That’s my 3rd attempt at taking coding classes. It’s the first time that I complete it. I have enjoyed the basics course so much that I’m gonna sign up for an upgrade. Coding is weirdly addictive.
I had so much fun doing in this workshop, it was very challenging but I really feel that I have improve a lot with this amazing project. I'm very proud of the final result and the knowledge obtain.

I really liked the sessions . The topics have been discussed very vastly which will help any beginner to start developing the web pages . My most favourite is the challenges after the sessions which helped me to practice all the learnings we got through the video tutorials
I have never described myself as tech-savvy, but for a while I've had an interest in seeing if I enjoyed coding. I read on the 80 000 hours website that software development is one of the most transferable and important technical skills you can develop. Then while I was having to isolate as a household Covid contact, I decided to try SheCodes. Creating a website on a topic that I'm passionate about was lots of fun, and learning the basics of coding was not as challenging as I thought it would be. Time in iso = well spent!

This was a great workshop experience! Matt's lessons are fun and really demystify it all. The team on Slack are supportive and respond very quickly for all those tricky coding moments. I loved producing a final project that I can feel proud of, even with zero prior coding knowledge. Would definitely recommend! It's also really uplifting to browse the constant stream of new projects from the SheCodes community, and see women from all over the world bring more diversity to the world of coding!

This is the most practical coding class for any beginners! All the lessons are thoughtfully structured with an easy-to-follow sequence. It is such a proud feeling to be able to put everything learnt into the final project!

I joined the SheCodes Basic workshop partly for fun, but also to learn some new skills in an effort to future proof my career. I felt a little nervous when it was due to start - would I be able to keep up? Was it going to be too complex? Would I just end up finding it boring? I didn't need to worry, as I found that the short and sharp videos from Matt were the perfect length to teach the fundamentals without being overwhelming, and I ended up really enjoying the challenges and project. I would often find myself losing track of time because I was so engrossed in what I was doing. I'm going on to SheCodes Plus shortly and really looking forward to seeing where my newfound basic skills will take me!

Been wanting to learn to code for awhile and took the leap to join SheCodes. It's been a really fun experience. The lessons were bite sized and easy to follow. Matt explained everything very well. I learnt a lot from this class, and it helps me to think and adapt to how the computer understands and reads commands. Also, it was fun and was not intimidating at all, a very easy transition into this new coding world for someone who does not have a computer degree at all.
I learnt HTML and CSS in the early 2000s and tried my hand at being a front-end developer. However, I felt like an imposter and lost my love for it because I couldn't get my head around JavaScript. After discovering SheCodes, I admittedly took a few months to finally take the plunge to enrol but I am extremely happy that I did! The way Matt breaks down each concept makes it incredibly easy to understand and apply. I truly wish SheCodes existed at the start of my career — my life would be very different today if it did. It's never too late though and I'm excited to start the next workshop!

SheCodes Plus further builds on skills/knowledge learned in SheCodes Basics, whilst introducing new, more challenging, and fun items. This was way more fun than I expected, and I really enjoyed playing around with the various HTML, CSS and JS elements to tweak the final webpage! Matt's guidance is really clear along the process, with encouragement given to try more things if one wishes.
SheCodes has been a great experience. I liked that the workshops were affordable, the lessons were easy to understand, and the homework was fun to complete. I very much enjoyed working on my final project and I am looking forward to continuing coding with the next workshop.

I used to do a little bit of coding as a hobby (no real training) when I was younger, but never really pursued it professionally. Now I'm older, I thought I'd give it another go and see where it takes me. I definitely enjoyed the Basics program. I think it's a great way to get started, dip your toes in coding, and see if it's something you'll enjoy. It's beginner friendly, and is also a great refresher if you're someone like me.
Thank you SheCodes Workshops and Mattieu (Matt) Delac Aussaguel! A few weeks ago I enrolled in SheCodes Basics, learnt the basics of HTML, CSS and Javascript. Lessons were well structured with plenty of resources and workshop videos were easy to follow. Challenges and homeworks were completed in a safe and supportive environment. Such a fun and easy way to learn coding! Only a few weeks and this is what I was able to achieve! Happy to have been able to learn and add a new skill!
This has been cleverly organised to curate the much-needed basic skills from a world of endless possibilities. It's a great way to kick-start the transition into this field. There is so much more to learn! Can't wait for the rest of the workshops.
I love the structure of the lessons. I find it hard to pay attention when someone is lecturing for hours or have to read chapters of text. Matt breaks it down into short videos and then you get to put the info into practice with the challenges. It is really engaging and Matt is great and explaining the new concepts

Hi Matt Thanks for the workshop. Due to work/life commitments it took me a lot longer to get started than expected. However once started (and I had a 2nd screen set up) I couldn't stop. Plus I got to use my sister's new business for final assignment. Great class and could only imagine how fun it would of been doing it with actual other shecodes ladies, instead of remotely. But still had heaps of fun. Fingers crossed I pass. Kat

This is definitely a fun and pleasant workshop to attend as an introduction to coding. I wanted to know just a bit more on how coding works to relate to the day to day programs I am using at work, SheCodes definitely delivered on that.
