So far I am really enjoying my SheCodes workshop! The Basic workshop was a good way to refresh my memory on HTML and CSS, and learn a little Javascript. Super excited to see how my skills progress even more in the rest of the workshops!
It was more challenging than I thought but once you get the hang of the weekly assignments and lessons, it is very rewarding.
A great introduction to coding with html, css, and javascript. Having tried other programs and methods to learn coding, this is the most easy to understand and efficient curriculum so far. Thanks SheCodes!

I highly recommend this basic course for those who have no experience in programming and always wanted to try it. After taking the last six months to settle into life in Canada, I started feeling itchy to learn something new again. That's when I saw an ad for a free SheCodes intro session. Working in Marketing, I've always seen knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS as a desired skill and thanks to SheCodes, I now have that knowledge. The online course was so easy to follow - Matt explains everything at a great pace, with practical examples and shows you how to use what you're learning with intuitive tools. The challenges and homeworks also gave a good opportunity to put into practice what you've learned too and knowing that your solutions are verified by a real person is a good boost to the confidence. I was so pleased with how they structured the SheCodes Basics workshop. They gave just enough info at strategic times during the sequence of lessons so that I wasn't overwhelmed with extra info until I had already understood each step of the webpage-building process. I'm really happy with how fun they made the workshop with the challenges they chose to integrate into the lessons. The Slack community was great too for when I got stuck.
I was pleasantly surprised by this course. The lessons are interactive and keep you engaged. Projects are up to date with current trends and really fun to work on. Cant wait to learn more :)
SheCodes has provided me with the structure I need to succeed. The lessons for the week are broken into bite-sized pieces with little challenges after each lesson (like two-bite brownies!), which builds to the week's homework assignment. The assignment gives you the opportunity to apply all of the week's lessons to see how they work together. This two-bite brownie approach helps to remove the feeling of overwhelm and gives the feeling of satisfaction with each challenge. I'm so excited to see what I learn throughout the SheCodes React program.
Learning Web Development with SheCodes has been so good! I've found writing HTML, CSS, and JS code to be captivating and fun. Matthew's teaching is clear and simple and the practical challenges helped me to put the teaching into action!

I believe that it is an amazing experience to attend SheCodes classes. Moreover, it is so practical for those with a high tendency to learn web codes. I'm extremely satisfied to attend and learn to code professionally. I'm afraid of web coding because in my mind it is so severe and a little of people can learn these skills. At some points it was quite challenging to understand. But as you move forward, you begin to understand the logic. Good that everything is based on practice where you can learn with small steps.

I've been curious about learning how to code for a long time and finally decided to take the plunge with SheCodes. I've gone from really not understanding anything about basic coding to being able to implement effective tools when building websites / maintaining my own. I've really appreciated how straight forward the SheCodes instruction is, making learning a brand new skill totally possible and enjoyable, opposed to a chore. SheCodes has helped me get my foot in the coding world. Thanks to this course, I have developed basic coding skills. This course has been amazing and very accommodating to my busy, changing schedule as a high school student, and so I would highly recommend it as it is one of the few online courses I have found that offers so many extensions and opportunities for busy people.

The content has been so easy to follow along and I love the fact that I can revisit any previous lessons at anytime! The courses are done at my pace and I am able to soak up all the content Matt puts out fully. I really enjoyed seeing my first project completed, it brought a great sense of accomplishment when I hit that 'submit' button.

After two years of studying international relations, I understood that this is not the career I would like to pursue. I have always loved IT classes back in high school, so I feel like SheCodes is an excellent start on my way to the job of my dream.
Would recommend for someone looking to learn web development basics. Would be beneficial to have 6 weeks instead of 3 lets say, with more practice projects. Otherwise, really enjoyed the format of lessons and video instructions.

SheCodes has been such an accommodating learning resource because it has taken me over a year to finally complete this intro program (with full time studies and full time work). I think I may have undiagnosed ADHD so the many extensions that were provided to me were very reassuring. I appreciate how easy to follow the challenges were and I now have a solid introduction to html, css and js. I hope I can continue on this journey some time in the future!

I've always known a little bit of coding but never enough to confidently use like I've been able to learn so far with SheCodes. It's been a really good experience and done in such a way that I didn't feel too overwhelmed and felt like I had a lot of time to learn without feeling like I needed to rush to complete any of it.
It was really fun and I learned so much during the short 3 weeks I spent attending this class. Would definitely recommend to any programming beginners!
