Learning with SheCodes was amazing. I had never taken a coding class and each lesson was very easy to follow. The homework and project were fun and I enjoyed the challenges that came with completing them!

This was my first venture into coding. I wasn't really sure what to expect but I had a lot of fun. I like the way the course is set up with lessons, challenges and homework. I found it relatively easy to follow along, Matt explains things very well. All in all it was a great entry course. It really leaves you wanting to learn more!
I was interested in learning how to Code and the free 1 hour intro class really surprised me by getting me hooked. I proceeded to complete a course with SheCodes and loved every minute of it. Topics are explained at a slow, easy to understand pace and the Slack program was very helpful in getting assistance as needed. This course started my love for coding and now I can't stop. I had no previous coding experience and was able to learn enough HTML, CSS and JavaScript in the Basics Workshop to build a webpage. I learned well with Matt's video lessons combined with the weekly homework. It's been really cool to see the endless possibilities and I'm excited that this is only the beginning.
I really enjoyed my experience learning to code with the SheCodes Workshops. I had so much fun but also felt quite challenged at times so it definitely kept my mind stimulated. Matt is a great instructor and the SheCodes team was very helpful and quick to answer my questions on slack when I got stuck!

I completed the SheCodes Basics program with a working knowledge of basic HTML, CSS, and Javascript. I am able to create a basic, functioning, interactive webpage. I had tried a free coding camp previously but the content was not suited to my learning style, and they did not show us how to use actual coding tools such as VS Code and Colorzilla. I finished that course feeling more confused than when I started, online with SheCodes, where I actually learned useful things that I will be able to apply irl outside of the courses. The SheCodes course material is perfectly suited to my visual learning style, and being able to go back and reference the videos at any time, as well as work alongside them in real-time in VS Code, was extremely helpful. I feel confident in my knowledge and abilities. The Slack group is also an amazing resource and any question I asked was answered within an hour. There is a big sense of community and teamwork, and it is clear that everyone wants each other to succeed. I started the SheCodes Plus course this week and have already learned even more! What I really love about the experience is that I came into it not really knowing anything about computers, and thinking it would be hard to learn. However, Matt and the SheCodes team have created a program that is easy to learn, just the right amount of challenging, and most of all, fun! I will absolutely be recommending SheCodes to any woman in my life who may be interested in learning how to code. Its an amazing and extremely fun experience, and I cant wait to learn even more!
With no previous coding experience, I have learnt a lot in this class. Html and CSS weren't much of a problem. I had a bit of challenge with javascript. But then with constant practice it won't be a problem soon!
I'm a product designer with no previous coding knowledge. I really wanted to understand how to keep scope down in my projects at work, and learn how to work better with my developers so that I could speak the same language as them. After just 3 weeks, my communication has improved tremendously with my devs! I couldn't believe it, and neither could they honestly hahaha. So grateful to have taken this workshop!

Starting a change to a new career in programming I was very overwhelmed and scared by the complexity of the academic program as well as the language with which I started, however SheCodes helped me to realize that it is not only the language but also the way of transmitting knowledge and see it reflected in what is done, its connection with something real and tangible. Now I feel that I can learn to program and make beautiful, useful, functional and modern things.
I have enjoyed the journey so far and I am looking forward for the next steps. Thank you so much Matt Delac and of course, a big thank you to the community in Slack as well!
Great content for beginners who are looking to break through into the world of tech! Really teaches you the fundamentals and basics and throws in a little challenge on the mini-challenges to get you to do some research to practice and learn a little more on the side. I had always found coding to be very intimidating but since I began to learn with SheCodes I have really enjoyed it! Each lesson is very clear and easy to understand. I love that I was able to work at my own pace and had help from classmates on Slack. Any time I had any questions for the SheCodes team they got back to me right away, even on weekends, and were very helpful! I look forward to continuing into the next workshop.

This was a very interesting and fun learning experience for a total novice in the field of coding. The lessons were easy to follow. I had an absolute blast with the SheCodes Responsive course. The first thing that happened was my mind was completely blown when I learned about Boostrap css utility classes AND how easy it is to modify code for web responsive experiences. I heavily rely on these two things when I am building webpages now! I am a UX designer learning coding and use Figma daily. I am usually tasked with designing wireframes and desktop and mobile screens. It is really cool that now I know how developers take my design and code them. I loved that portion of the course when Matt showed us a Figma file and how the developer pokes through it - which also reinforces the importance of a clean design file! I found myself using the skills I am learning in the SheCodes workshops at work, and I have started working with our developers on my designs and found it easier to explain my stuff to them. I also find myself coding on evenings and weekends for fun, too! For any UX designers, I would say Responsive is THE course to take so you get a better idea of what happens to your designs when they are getting built, what developers looks for, and how it can make working with them fun and rewarding to make impactful features and products. Especially when it comes to responsive experiences! Thanks again SheCodes crew and Matt! I'll be seeing you next week in SheCodes React!

SheCodes helped me gain a basic understanding of coding with 0 experience or knowledge. It was easy to fit in to my schedule. Each topic was clearly explained, but Slack was available for help, and the SheCodes team is very responsive to messages.
Quick introduction on the subjects. A good way to start but a few things misssings. Loved the fact that the video are short and followed by an exercise on the subject.

There are a lot of free tutorials out there online, but I appreciate how SheCodes has been broken down into a progression of steps in a clear and concise format that can teach anyone how to code. The ease and comfort of using the videos and assignments is what makes the workshop very worthwhile over alternatives.

I enjoyed SheCodes SO much, much more than I thought I would. I heard so many great things and I found it so fun, the challenges were engaging, and I appreciated all the help they give. Lessons were thorough and worked for my busy schedule! I was able to learn the basics of coding without needing to pay a lot of money and Matt goes at a pace that makes it easier to understand. Assignments were fun and this made me feel like coding can be enjoyable!

Helpful and easy to follow
I had such a fun time with the SheCodes Basics Workshop. Matt makes it super easy to follow and I loved the little mini projects throughout the first two weeks - it really makes you put what you've learned into practice. While I only had time for the 3-week workshop, I'll probably come back to do one of the longer workshops later down the road. Highly recommend giving SheCodes a go, whether you're looking to expand your skillset for your career, or simply just want to do it for fun!
This workshop is extremely fun while also being challenging. I like working with the friendly staff who are ready to help you with any problems that you may encounter throughout the course.
