I came across SheCodes this time last year and did the free introduction course. Happy to say I came across SheCodes again and the timing was right! Matt makes learning to code easy to understand and not intimidating. There's so many coding resources here like the gradient tool and even the radio is pretty sweet 💜. I also like having the homework and deadlines, it keeps me on track 🙌
I loved this course so much. I've done so many different, "self-paced" coding courses, and not a single one of them compared to this. This course was very easy to understand. I have never done coding before and from afar, felt it to be intimidating. How Matt taught it and built the knowledge up from the foundational skills was smooth and easy to understand. This is course is great for anyone who would like to keep their full-time job and learn a valuable skill on the side.

I had a great time with SheCodes and the workshop! Before joining SheCodes, I thought coding was a hard skill to learn and that I would never be able to accomplish anything like it. I joined the free lesson on a whim, not thinking I would complete the actual workshop, but once I started... I loved every minute of it!

I have just completed my third week at SheCodes and I feel I have learned so much about coding that I can't imagine how much I'm going to be able to do finishing the workshop. For this project, we were asked to create a landing page for something we are passionate about, and for me is entrepreneurship. So I decided to create the first page on an idea that had been rounding my mind. I'm so happy about all the skills I'm developing and how that's going to impact my professional career + how I'm going to better help the startups I work with.

I would definitely recommend SheCodes to my friends. I was hesitant before I started SheCodes Basics just because I thought coding was extremely difficult, but I was proved wrong. This was such a great learning experience for someone with no coding experience. It was challenging at times, but the structure of the classes, the informational videos, slack support, and various resources made it all come together. A challenging and interesting course with a lot of learning packed in!
This introductory course was well structured and easy-to-follow. One of the unique features of the course was teaching thought process rather than simply the syntax. With little I know now, I found out I can execute lots of ideas. Definitely still a lot to learn and a long way to go but I am sure that will be fun. Thanks Matt and the team!
This was such a fantastic course. I feel like I learned a lot and developed a skill set I will have forever. Matt does a wonderful job of teaching complex processes through an easy to understand format. I will definitely be taking the advanced course in the future.

This workshop gained me so much knowledge that I thought wouldn't be possible, courses are well instructed by Matt and he articulates in a way that is easy to understand. The team of instructors are speedy at answering any questions and resolving any issues that you may run into also! I had a lot of fun building my final project - I am looking forward to Plus! :)

I signed up for SheCodes Basics on International Women's Day as a way to celebrate womanhood. I wanted to learn a new skill and support a business that empowers women of all ages! I have to say, I cannot believe how fast 10 days went by, I had an incredible time learning and practising my newly found skills! I absolutely recommend SheCodes basics to anyone who is interested. The structure of the workshop was well-thought out, making challenges achievable and less intimidating. The weekly projects were a definite brain teaser, but once you complete them you can't help but feel proud and accomplished! I look forward to learning more!

I used to freak out when I saw any type of coding in front of me, but decided to learn it anyway. At first, I struggled to find a learning path that I could stick to. And SheCodes Basics was exactly what I needed. I went from 0 to my very first landing page!!! I look foward to the next steps on my coding journey and I want to change careers now, to something on Front-End.

SheCodes is a well-structured, concise and an easy-to-follow coding workshop. I enjoyed the exercises within each workshop and the homework project where you can create with what you've learned so far, and see the results for yourself 😊. SheCodes (Matt) makes coding fun 😄! Matt's approach makes you think, it makes you get creative, it makes you curious to learn more. His style of teaching isn't a strict "this is the only way" or "because I say so", rather he makes you wonder and explore and find solutions 🤓. I found the resources provided to aide us in the learning/creating, like the css color palattes, gradients, slack chat, etc. really helpful. I especially enjoyed the curated SheCodes Radio 📻🎶 I look forward to levelling up 🤩! Here we go 🙌🏽 !!

I honestly cannot believe how much time passes when you are having fun! I enjoyed every lesson/challenge and I made use of other materials provided. Sometimes, i get stuck on challenges but it only allowed me to learn more. Also the team on Slack are super helpful. Looking forward to more projects to come as I intend to become a full stack developer.
This bootcamp for intro to coding was fantastic! It was challenging, but we always had mentors in Slack to help us out. I highly recommend this program to any of the girls or women wanting to learn to code.

I have always wanted to learn to code; at least basics. Before applying to SheCodes, I have tried couple other platforms but I used to get boring and gave up right after the first lesson.I was thinking that I will never be able to learn it. However, SheCodes workshops changed my whole perception. I loved it. Mat is a great teacher and he explains everything so clearly. The lessons are not overwhelming like others. The tasks are interesting and fun. The team is very supportive. I have enjoyed every single minute of passed three weeks. When I look at my codes, I feel so proud of how much I managed to learn. Thank you SheCodes, thank you Mat!!!
SheCodes helped me learn about the basics of coding. I took the 3-weeks course and they teach you everything step by step making it more comprehensible for everyone especially to people who don't have much clue on how to code. I would definitely recommend this to everyone who wants to learn and develop this skill.
5/5 - I would highly recommend! The course itself was designed in a way to incorporate instructional content with challenges that make sure you are grasping concepts as you learn. I feel that the challenges and assignments were well thought out and really encapsulated all aspects of what we were taught. Coming from a minimal tech background, I felt this course was easy to follow and the support from SheCodes staff was great. SheCodes has created a community that makes you feel like you're not in this alone.
One morning I was scrolling through Instagram and randomly came across a free 60-minutes coding course from SheCodes. I usually don't bother about these things, but I just decided to go through it. It was one my best impulse decisions. Now, thanks to SheCodes, I am excited to start my coding journey and see where this takes me. Matt is a great teacher. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐SheCodes deserves these stars! The basics has been an amazingly fun and interesting to me as a beginner. Having no previous knowledge in I.T, SheCodes molded me and I can see myself moving from zero to hero!. I am so hooked and thinking loud......, why not switch careers?. I love SheCodes! I was really nervous before starting this workshop, because I knew nothing about coding! But Matt's lessons were so easy to follow and the challenges were really fun to complete! I am a SheCodes React student finishing her SheCodes Basics workshop. It has been an amazing 2 weeks journey and I feel so happy with my decision to join SheCodes. Matt is amazing and everything is made so much simpler to understand. PLUS, you get all these other tools from SheCodes that you can use to create your projects and website. I've wanted to change careers for a long time but have felt stuck and discouraged at the prospect. After seeing ads for SheCodes I decided to take the free class on a whim, thinking what do I have to lose? I never thought coding would be something I could do but I liked the free class so much I signed up for Basics right away. The lessons were easy to follow and the challenges were really fun. I can actually see myself working in the tech field now and I definitely plan on continuing my education through SheCodes. If you want to see if coding is for you or learn the basics I cannot recommend SheCodes enough!
I started working in the hospitality industry years ago while completing my University degree. When I graduated, I wasn't very sure what direction to go so I decided to travel the world instead. 🌎 After working my way up in the hospitality industry while globetrotting, I realized I have a love for software and processes. I decided to take the risk and switch industries! Since then, I feel like I'm finally able to apply my education to something I'm passionate about. It was actually a client of mine that recommended I sign up for SheCodes so with the support of my Manager, I decided to take the leap and start learning how to code. I've really enjoyed this course and can't wait to learn even more with the hopes I can apply this knowledge in my current position and assist with my career development moving forward.🚀

I was afraid to learn how to code because I had always thought coding was intimidating but taking this beginners course had helped me realized that coding is very fun and anyone is capable of learning the basics! I loved every moment of it, and I plan on taking more courses to further my learning.
The learning platform is super interactive and the pace is perfect! There's always someone ready to answer questions (and even if you don't have questions, reading through others' and their answers is very useful!). All this made learning the basics of coding a breeze :)

Great course! I come from an entirely different field (HR) and this course has given me the confidence to take on a career change. I found myself excited to learn and obsessing over coding! It's so much fun to learn and be creative.

I am a woman who wears so many hats, and the way the course is structured is perfect for me. The chapters are not overwhelming, and Matt is a very good teacher. Community support is also a big plus as if you're stuck; it doesn't take long to get help. The assignments are very practical applications of the concept discussed in each chapter. I had to extend my classes many times because of different circumstances, and the program was flexible enough to finish the course at my own pace. As a project manager who works with developers on a daily basis, I signed up to this course hoping to learn some basics of coding to expand my knowledge. I was not disappointed. I was very impressed with the quality and detail of the course, but also the way it was delivered was very clear. It ensured the student wasn't just watching a YouTube video, but actually put into practice the lessons learned. The timing of the work was perfect for me, five hours per week is doable for someone with a full time job (or someone who is a new mother). It allowed me to focus on lessons, complete my assignments and absorb the learning properly.

This is my third workshop with SheCodes, and I'll definitely be coming back to learn React! There's just enough information in these courses to teach you the foundational knowledge you need to become a developer without holding your hand every step of the way. This was definitely a challenging final project, but there's nothing more satisfying than learning from your mistakes!
