What I like about SheCodes is that you can learn at your own pace, Matt walks you through the steps and you can always go back to watch previous videos, you can even take a week off if your feeling overwhelmed or unmotivated. I feel like I've just scraped the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Javascript and I'm excited to learn more.
SheCodes is a very fun way to try the languages of coding. It is a great learning experience for absolute beginners or as a refresher. It also has some great resources. I appreciated how each lesson was broken down into brief and concise lectures and challenges to follow. The amount of information presented between each individual lesson was enough to grasp whilst taking notes and perfecting each solution.
I was terrible at computer coding when I was in high school and really struggled with the basics. After watching the free class, I finally understood what my teacher had been trying to get through to me all those years ago. I've finished the first three weeks and I'm continuing on in the program. It's still a struggle sometimes, but there's lots of support from the SheCodes staff as well as all my fellow SheCoders, so I know I can succeed.
The SheCodes Basic is good starting point for anyone who would like to tap into the world of web design. Instructions are clear and easy to understand, had losts of fun throughout the 3-week program!

Coding was something I always wanted to get back to, after some exposure to C++ in school. This course reignited that passion for coding. I like how Matt teaches the elements but also encourages research during the homework and projects. I loved it a lot! Thank you!

I love learning new things and discovering how things 'work'. Coding has been on my to 'explore' list for a very long time, but I didn't know where to start. Most online courses seem to assume you have some kind of background in coding, and I didn't want to spend a small fortune or the time commitment required to attend a formal coding bootcamp, in case I didn't enjoy coding after all. I'm so glad I came across the SheCodes add on Instagram. In SheCodes Basics, Matt teaches the very basic fundamentals of coding, and slowly builds from there. He doesn't assume you know what he's talking about but takes the time to explain the concepts with lots of examples. I can't wait to continue learning and building on the knowledge and skills I've acquired from this course.
It was definitely a challenge but I enjoyed the structure and flexibility of the courses. I'm happy with how my coding journey is progressing and looking forward to continuing in the future.
The Introduction to Coding was fun and challenging. With no prior knowledge of coding, I learned a lot in the last three weeks. I am definitely looking forward to learning more in the SheCodes Plus program.

Before applying for coding, I was not completely sure that I'll understand coding very well at this coding workshop. I also suggest this workshop to my friends who were looking for coding. Love that Matt walks you logically through each step of the coding fundamentals. It's super beginner-friendly and the challenges that follow each exercise help to put to practice what you learn. The SheCodes team is amazing and very prompt in answering general questions about the workshop as well as troubleshooting when you get stuck (which you inevitably will, but that's all part of the coding process!).
I really enjoyed the learning experience. It was much easier than I thought it would be. I'll be joining the 3 month + react program.

The SheCodes Basics course was such a lovely introduction into coding. I found the lessons really engaging and informative. The structure for learning was perfect for me. The entire community of women were so supportive and inspiring. And although the workshop was challenging it was also highly rewarding. I cannot wait to complete future workshops!
For someone with zero coding or IT background, I enjoyed this Basic workshop more than I thought I would even with the challenges I faced. I am very keen to learn more in the advanced workshops.
SheCodes Workshops helped me regain knowledge I had lost about 10 years ago. In the first week, we were already covering things I hadn't been taught. I highly suggest taking these workshops if you want to get to know and work in the coding world!

Coding is a skill I truly believe everyone should learn however when first starting out just the word "coding" intimidated me. Especially seeing as how it is a male-dominated field and how it's represented in the media as complex words and numbers on a screen. However, after pushing myself to take this course I am so glad that I did as I now have a completely new perspective on coding! This course is structured in a very clear way of explaining and letting you apply the skills you learned!
SheCodes has helped me appreciate coding more than I thought I would. It is definitely worth a try and you get support from the SheCodes community.
I like that each lesson was followed by little tests or mini-quizzes. I find that it challenged me to ensure that I understood the content. I am also very thankful that we can request an extension. I overall have a very busy schedule so it is stressful when I make a small error which makes me feel like I can't meet the deadline. The extensions really help me manage and give me that extra day I need to complete my tasks.

I was always so intimidated by coding & web development, it always seemed like an exclusive boys club to get into. Matt made me realize that this is not the case even in the first free introductory class I tuned in to. His videos are super comprehensive & there is an open slack chat as well, these give you all the tools you need to succeed! :)

Building the weather app was so much fun! By the end of the project, I felt that I had a much better understanding of the JavaScript concepts that we covered earlier on.

No other course I took really compares to SheCodes, the ability to build a page from scratch, and Matt's amazing explanations on each concept is unmatched. I have learned so much in what feels like so little time!
I think the basic course was a great high level overview of the coding essentials. I was able to create a simple site that could interact with a hypothetical external user. 10 years ago I wouldn't imagine myself creating a site from scratch, but the sessions were broken down well and gave you the time to absorb. I'm excited to start SheCodesPlus!
SheCodes Plus is a great way to further your coding journey! It will be difficult at times, and occasionally you will feel like things are going over your head, but I promise it is worth it. I learnt so much through this course and can 100% say Matt has ignited a passion for coding.
