I have greatly benefited from the SheCodes Responsive course, which has provided me with invaluable knowledge and skills necessary to excel as a web developer. The comprehensive curriculum has empowered me to gain the confidence required to tackle diverse web development projects with ease.
As a UX designer, I just needed to gain a basic understanding of how coding worked. SheCodes laid everything out very clearly and provided plenty of opportunity for practice. I found it easy and fun and it was perfect for my needs!
As usual it was a fun experience, but the team exceeded my expectations this time around. I learned so much and had a fun time along the way! Matt explains the course well in my opinion! No wonder he's had many students!
I had been looking at doing this course for a while and it also came highly recommended to me. The lessons were straightforward to understand and most of the videos were between 5-10 minutes each which helped pace the course and keep my attention (I get easily distracted). Almost all the lessons have a mini challenge mode for what you just learned that helps reinforce the learning. It was a lot more enjoyable than I thought it was going to be! The only downside for me was that sometimes a challenge had a component that was extra and not covered by the lesson so I had to either use the Slack channels they have (which are amazingly helpful!) or had to Google to understand how it was used.
SheCodes Basics helped me understand the fundamentals of HTML, CSS and Javascript. From having only little knowledge about coding, I now have a better understanding on how to construct a web page. It is a fun creative process!
SheCodes is helping me understand and discover diverse areas of coding while having a flexibility to do so.

This was my first introduction to coding. The course was enjoyable and well broken down into bite-size pieces with fun challenges. I felt proud of my progress after completing the final project. Would recommend this to anyone wanting to learn coding for the first time!
This workshop is really fun! I like that each lesson is short and has a practice exercise to get hands on experience. I found the videos thorough, as a question would form in my head Matt would answer it!

A really challenging course but 10/10 worth sticking through it! There is a lot to take in but it's explained in a way that makes it digestible.

I NEVER KNEW I CAN CODE because I tried to self learn years prior and it never worked for me. I loved my experience because SheCodes has a team within my reach for help and yet I chose frustration and tried to solve things on my own and I was happy with my choices because I never knew i actually have the mental capacity to solve hard things. oh... and I did somehow abused my extension but every frustration was worth it because some lessons were more harder to comprehend and understand than others FOR ME. :)
I loved how easy the courses were! This was only possible because the course itself showed you how to find the answers through your own understanding. I was working mostly on my own and sometimes I would get stumped but thanks to the lessons I was able to work through these problems on my own.
The videos are easy to follow- realistic and human. The deadlines are do-able and extensions are a great bonus for when life kicks you in the rear. Showing us the 'real way' to google how to do what we want, or using the SheCodes AI, color palettes, gradients palettes, cheatsheets etc. is genius. The slack chat and community are such a great resources and bonus. Cannot wait to see what comes next.
This was an excellent course that was chocked full of really easy to understand modules. As someone who knew nothing about coding before starting this, I really appreciated the style of the videos, the online support, and the opportunity to come away with solid coding knowledge. Matt's passion for what he does shines through and really helps to get you excited about coding, while also making you feel like it's not rocket science and there are very logical steps to achieving the type of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc that you want.
Matt is great in explaining and homeworks are not very hard.

SheCodes Responsive Workshop allowed me to gain valuable insights and practical skills to create responsive websites. I got to know the meticulous processes behind its creation. Weekly deadlines allowed me to stay consistent but still left some breathing room for other things. As with previous SheCodes programs, I enjoyed the process and was happy to push myself a bit more!
I liked that this workshop was a parallel project to one from a previous workshop and allowed us to see how the development of a similar project can be done using React and what tools like React can afford.

It was a great experience once I got past a few speed bumps. I would recommend SheCodes if you are comfortable working at your own pace and making sure you set aside the right amount of time to take the information in.
