I really appreciated my first experience with coding, never really thought I would be into it! I'll definitely take the others workshops. I like that the videos are not too long and after there's always a challenge.
I have always wanted to learn to code but didnt know where to start, I had previously watched youtube videos and read online resources but found that none of them started right at the beginning. I really enjoyed these courses and the satisfaction of learning something new and being able to see my skills develop through the projects
This has been a great help for me, felt like I had a purpose again. I love coding but kept putting it off. Thank you for making this possible
I really enjoyed learning HTML, CSS and Javascript! The classes were user-friendly and it's been fun (although at times frustrating, ha!) to work on the challenges and project :)
I started out with the idea that coding and computer programs were intimidating and that I could never learn them. Having completed this three-week workshop, I feel confident in my abilities to partake in front-end coding. I also feel like I'm now at an advantage to learn more coding, and eventually pursue a career in this domain.
I have learned so much! I look forward to continue my coding journey!

This was a great introductory course! When I decided that I wanted to learn web development I was so overwhelmed and didn't know where to start. This course made it so manageable and fun! My experience and skills tend to be more on the qualitative, people side of things - think HR, accessibility, social programs. I wanted to solidify my basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and a quick intro to JS. I didn't know what to expect but got hooked after a couple lessons! Highly recommend.
SheCodes Basics is a great HTML, CSS, and JavaScript review/overview. It's clear, concise and playful. Perfect introduction for new coders too.

I've been wanting to start coding for over 3 years now and I'm absolutely thrilled that I was able to do so, while working full time. This course is very interactive, easy to understand and easy to navigate. I enjoyed every second of it!!! It helped me big time in my role, as a product manager.
I'm absolutely loving everything about SheCodes and learning a ton of things I either had forgotten or never knew. I can't wait to dive into all the rest of the workshops!

These first 3 weeks have been awesome! I came in to completely restart my passion for coding again after taking an almost 2-year break and have learned so much already! The tutorials have been easy to understanding while providing enough information.
SheCodes is a great program. It's very user-friendly and supportive. I find the classes are easy to follow while still being challenging. It is a great space to learn to code as a beginner, and it is excellent value for the cost. I highly recommend it to anyone curious about coding.

Joined the 3 week workshop in sole intention to know what is coding all about and if I can get an idea of what these coders actually do๐!!But to my surprise ,Matt's course has designed the classes and exercises,challenges and homework in such a organized,easy and user friendly format that an avid amateur like me who knows nothing about coding or computer functions or computer languages was able to create a nice and attractive webpage at the end of workshop๐!! I was amazed by my learning and how much I learnt about coding and front end skills.Really awesome experience and worth doing this workshop and see for yourself as to how much fun,creative and inspiring it is to learn something which is indeed a great skill and asset to add to your professional profile๐ฏ. I thought that I would learn the basics and be happy with just that. This is my third workshop and I continue to love coding and learning through SheCodes. Everybody at SheCodes are so helpful whether it be answering questions directly or showing you different websites that can answer my questions. I am so proud of what I have been able to accomplish and it is all thanks to them. I am looking forward to continuing my journey with the React workshops!
I started my coding journey at SheCodes with the Introduction to Coding course and I can't wait to continue it with the future courses ahead! I was able to learn about the web development concepts from CSS, HTML and JavaScript.
It was a great adventure, I put myself out of my comfort zone and I woke up every morning at 5:00 am to learn and complete the challenges. Definitely, this was the best way to start my day before going to work. Every night I felt the excitement for the next day because I knew HTML, CSS, and JavaScript were waiting for me lol

I had a really awesome time learning the basics of coding. This workshop is really well structured, using a method where you really understand everything and actually learn how to do things yourself!
I was hesitant to join at first, as I'm new to coding, and I've got a toddler and a new born. I wasn't sure if I would be able to manage the workload or the complexity of coding; however, the course is broken down in small sections, and is easy to follow along. Matt is also a great instructor; he knows what he is doing and is able to simplify it all. Not to mention the amazing SheCodes team, who are always there to lend a helping hand. I'm really enjoying the course thus far, and I'm excited for the new opportunities that will open up to me.
The lessons were easy to follow along with and fun to see the other side of the websites we all use! I joined with absolutely no knowledge of coding and really enjoyed the workshop course.

This was a great introduction to basics of coding.
This workshop is incredibly flexible and each module is very clear and understandable. The building blocks add up quickly and you will go from knowing nothing at all about coding (like me) to creating a formatted, interactive document from scratch. I'm really proud of myself for being able to do this in only a few weeks.

As a complete beginner, this was a great introduction to coding. I found the exercises well-organized with achievable objectives per lesson. Assistance from peers and moderators on the Slack site was incredibly helpful, and aided with my learning process. I thoroughly enjoyed the course overall, and also the fun project at the conclusion of the course to put my newfound skills to work. Thank you!

I really enjoyed this course! I appreciate that we are provided the lessons and resources but that the time frame is a lot more flexible so it was easy to fit in the learning around other work and home life. Everyone seems so kind and excited to help which made for a really comfortable learning environment.

I'm absolutely loving SheCodes so far! The lessons are straightforward and easy to understand. You get so much guidance and support from the staff and fellow classmates. Not to mention the course load is manageable which is awesome!
I took this course because I am a UX Designer and wanted to get into the brain of a developer, so that I can work with them better on projects. It's funny because I use design programs on a daily basis, and now I know what REALLY goes into something as simple a centered text, colors, buttons, content, and and even simple shapes. I had a great time using SheCodes! Matt is an excellent teacher who goes through every step, but also surprises me with something new which gave me opportunity to learn something on my own. I love the accountability aspect of the program with due dates for your homework. This forced me to keep going because I find that I work best when there's some sort of deadline or pressure. The courses don't take too much time out of your week, and it's taught in a way that allows you to retain the information well. The Slack channel is AWESOME. I got stuck on my code for the final project and Joรฃo was very quick to help me out by pointing out where my code was going wrong. That final assignment WHEW! It was tricky because my design brain wanted to make it look flashy, so I rewatched the last few videos, went over old code from homework, and went online. Now I have something to show for my portfolio! I can't wait to continue by Shecode's journey as I advance into SheCodes Plus and Responsive!
It was my first time learning about coding and I had a lot of fun. I really enjoyed the challenges at the end of the weeks and connection with other SheCode's Coders through Slack. This was a great experience for me and thank you SheCodes team for all the support and Matt for creating this awesome course!

The SheCodes Plus workshop builds upon what we learned in the Basics workshop, and while it was more challenging, I think Matt did a great job at breaking down all the aspects into smaller, more manageable chunks! Super excited to continue on with the next workshop!

I began SheCodes Basic knowing very little about coding, but having completed the first workshop, I feel much more confident in my knowledge but also my capacity to learn how to code.

I really enjoyed this three week workshop! Coding has always piqued my interest, but I've never had the confidence to look into it. On a whim I took the one hour free workshop and was hooked for the whole hour. I then signed up for the three week beginner course and really enjoyed myself! I felt comfortable, was able to keep up, and felt supported when I was stuck. SheCodes has created a great environment to learn in.

Great learning structure from the easiest tasks to more difficult ones with optional extra levels of difficulty. The support from tutors is quick, friendly, and super-efficient.

Coding is fun once you get the hang of it. It requires a lot of focus and patience with yourself. I enjoyed the ability to learn on my own time, with the easy to follow tutorials. I watched the tutorials as many times as I needed too and took a lot of notes along the way to clarify things for myself. The exercises at the end of each lesson are good practice for your weekly projects.
This course takes it little by little so you understand how coding works, and has a simple and eye-catching interface. If you get stuck, there are plenty of resources offered directly through SheCodes. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and fitting for anyone who wants to know or is interested in the basics of coding!

This course was incredibly easy to follow and I am impressed with what I am able to do and understand in just a couple of weeks. Coding is quite enjoyable and although it can get a little frustrating when you're stuck, I still find it to be relaxing. It's like a fun puzzle & patience is the key! I look forward to practicing & continuing to learn with these courses in the near future!
SheCodes was a wonderful experience as a beginner! I come from a background in Healthcare and have always thought of tech and coding as intimidating; however, the lessons per week were well executed. Matt was able to teach the concepts with good detail and there was a lot of resource available, along with support on Slack. I thoroughly enjoyed how the pace was scheduled per week but you could also go through them at your own pace. The combination of lessons with the small challenges, weekly homework, and the final project allowed you to test your knowledge and skills. You are also taught how to use the internet to look for solutions or more explanations to the different concepts in HTML, CSS and JS, which was good practice for real world application. Overall, my experience doing the Basic Workshop has given me a new confidence in my new skillset in HTML, CSS and JS. This experience has filled me with excitement and looking forward to more opportunities in programming. Thank you to Matt and the SheCodes team!

The content of all the courses are laid out intuitively and comprehensibly; perfect for all types of learner wether it be visual, auditory or kinesthetic. The strong female presence has made SheCodes all the more encouraging and empowering. I'm driven to try and pass on the empathy and helpfulness of the SheCodes staff if I get the opportunity to help or collaborate with others in coding.
SheCodes Plus is a thrilling challenge that I enjoyed from start to finish. While there is a lot of content, Matt breaks it all down into small chunks and challenges that drive home the principles needed to complete a project I never would've thought I could create.
