I have never expected that one day I could build something on the web. I always thought that I do not have the skills, I am not capable of, guess what? Of course, I don't know everything yet. A lot has to come, but I will face it. I trusted Matt Delac and their team to guide me through this. Finally, I believe Matt not only teaches code, but he also busts your confidence. For all women out there, yes you can do it!
This workshop has been an amazing learning experience! After only 3 weeks of hard work I understand the basics of html, css and javascript: enough to create a webpage from scratch =) Looking forward to what I can code next.

I have wanted a future in tech and I didn't know where to begin, everything seemed too intimidating. After the free trial with Matt, I got a better sense of my fear and decided to give SheCodes a try. I'm really glad I did. I spent hours on troubleshooting and restructuring because it was fun, not because I had to. Dedicating the time is key and so worth it.
I absolutely loved this workshop! Having no previous experience in coding I found the SheCodes lessons to be very easy to understand and follow along. This course was amazing, I really felt like I got a good grasp and handle on advanced JavaScript, which is quite difficult. The video tutorials made everything easy to understand and follow and I'm very proud of the weather app I built from scratch.
SheCodes Basics was a great introduction to front-end development for me. Although I'd rather have live classes, so it would feel more interactive, Matt's videos were clear and to the point, and I had no issues solving my doubts by searching the documentation. This is an awesome workshop for someone who wants to dive in to HTML, CSS and JavaScript if they don't have that much experience!

The SheCodes Basics workshop was really fun! I was surprised how much I looked forward to watching the videos and completing the challenges. It felt really empowering to understand something I had always assumed just wasn't "for me". Women are rarely encouraged to explore areas like coding so I really appreciated this environment and safe space. The problem-solving and creative elements were my favourites...I spent a lot of time playing with colour gradients for my final project! I would definitely recommend this workshop to anyone looking to explore something new!
Everything was EASY to follow. I tried many workshops/in-class programs in the past and I found it way too intimidating. SheCodes made it fun and relaxing to learn. I'm looking forward to learning more. π

I have been on and off again with learning JS. I decided to join SheCodes after reading many reviews left from other women. I like the fact that this platform is solely on women learning how to code therefore I decided to jump in and join. I enrolled in the Plus workshop and I just completed Coding Basics and I am already loving it. Coding was a skill that I knew would be useful for work. It was only after delving into the SheCodes activities did I realize that coding to be interesting and fun! My mathematical/puzzle/problem solving brain loved wrapping my head around the languages and troubleshooting any potential mistakes. SheCodes definitely piqued my interest in the coding world and I may have to dive in again soon!
I was always interested in coding but I was intimidated by it especially since it is a male-dominated field. After completing my SheCodes workshop I feel so empowered and I discovered that coding can actually be really fun once you get the hang of it. I love the community that SheCodes has created and I would highly recommend the course to all female-identifying people (even if you have no prior coding knowledge like me going into the course).

I have always enjoyed working on computers and I have seen advertisements for coding workshops but I never thought it was for me. Then I found SheCodes and fell in love! Javascript has been the most challenging part of learning to code for me personally but all the support from the SheCodes staff and other students has made it easier. Matt has an incredibly skilled way of breaking things down into bite sized pieces and making coding easy. I love that he doesn't just focus on teaching the coding concepts, but also on how to be resourceful if you do run into trouble (ie. even the most experienced coders Google things! You do not need to memorize every language). He doesn't edit his typos out of the videos-- which is also comforting, because it demonstrates that no matter how good the coder is, mistakes happen and that's ok. I signed up for the full package, and I'm very much looking forward to continuing on! :)

I loved the flexibility of this course. Being able to set my own schedule and work at my own pace was one of the reasons I wanted to get into coding in the first place. Mixing art & technical skills was another. So far, I'm absolutely loving what this new career path is giving me--freedom to work wherever, whenever I want, and purpose/drive that is extremely fulfilling for my brain. I'm extremely happy/proud of what I've accomplished so far; Matt's videos are very easy to follow/learn from, and I can't wait to see what's next!

It was really interesting and easy to follow along with each lesson. As someone with not previous experience or exposure, it really enjoyed it.
I enjoyed working on SheCodes projects and was also pleased with my accomplishment. I have learned a lot during the workshops. Matt is a helpful mentor with his teaching approach. I learned a lot of new things that are valuable to know. You won't regret choosing SheCodes.

This workshop has been so great; I would highly recommend to anyone looking to learn about coding or web development! I've learned so much in just 3 weeks! The learn-then-apply format has been excellently executed by SheCodes, using a lesson + challenge + solution for each topic. This was super easy to follow and can be done at any pace, starting and stopping at any time. The cheat sheets are also great references for the homework, project, and future use. I like that the content of the workshop is modern and we learn to be resourceful in a modern way (using google searches to learn more, Slack channels to solve problems with our classmates, etc.). Great refresher!
I really enjoyed this workshop! I liked how the lessons were short and sweet. It didn't feel like one long lecture so it was easy to spread it out throughout the week. I also liked all the resources that were provided to help with the assignment such as the coding tools and Slack. I was intimidated to learn code for many years but this experience made it approachable.
So far so fun!
I was happy with how much I learnt in a matter of 3 weeks with HTML CSS and JS! I will practice using VS and prettier and always testing my code! Taking SheCodes has confirmed for me that I enjoy coding and that I am more confident and knowledgeable and ready for my career change in web development in the fall!

I wanted to do something new and different and I came across this SheCodes website. I wasn't sure at first if I'll like it or not, but as soon as I started learning how to code then boom! Here I am, finishing up my first-ever coding course. It was a lot of fun learning through this course and I think I found my new hobby:) I will for sure keep learning and stepping up to take more courses here.
I had a great time doing SheCodes basics. It is taught in a way that separates all the material in an easy and digestible way. I love having the little challenges to complete after each lesson!
Wow, what a journey! SheCodes Plus was definitely a challenge, but I feel so accomplished. We went from designing a simple wire-frame, to coding a functional weather app with real data. I never thought I'd go this far, but with patience and practice I created my very first web-app, how cool is that?!

Good instructional videos that are perfect for beginners and are in a format that allows you to work at your own pace. I had prevously seen some complaints about instructors' referral to online forums, but that is standard practice and also very useful so I wouldn't let that deter anyone. SheCodes basics is truly the basics, but I enjoyed it. Looking forward to moving on to SheCodes plus!

This is my 4th course with SheCodes and I'm really glad I took it. The first 3 courses taught me so much about numerous coding technologies, but what I created lacked the responsiveness on mobile devices - something that is so important in this day and age. It's still a long journey for me to become a full-fledged front-end developer, but SheCodes Responsive definitely gave me the knowledge I needed to take one step closer towards that goal.

I am a software engineer and I did have knowledge of HTML CSS and JS basics. However, I thoroughly enjoyed every step of the learning process. I was lost before but now I do not think of anything else besides frontend development for my career. Can't wait to meet React <3

SheCodes Plus was a huge challenge for me. But I learned a lot more and I feel like I am way more confident in my markup language skills and JavaScript. Lessons are always easy to follow and understand and complex subjects are explained in plain English so as to not confuse you more. I am grateful for the SheCodes team and all of the help they gave me when I was frustrated and needed help to solve a problem. This was an amazing introduction to the coding industry. I've been hearing about it from friends but never really thought I would dabble in it myself. Then during the pandemic, I thought, why not try something new? And here I was! It's nice that you can go at your own pace since I am also working full time as well so that was challenging but rewarding! Would definitely recommend trying something for yourself to see if you have a deeper interest :)

Wow... truly a fantastic course! I really LOVE the lesson format of SheCodes. Everything is in very manageable bite-sized pieces with the space to let you experiment a lot or a little with each lesson. I have a little bit of history with html and css, but I've always struggled with javascript... but Matt made it so easy to understand! Not only that but learning about VS Code and how to use it was incredibly valuable. I'm really looking forward to the next workshops! I'm gonna be a coding mastermind soon, just you wait and see! I just finished my first year of university for design and I had two computer science courses that I absolutely loved and showed immediate interest in. During my summer break, I decided to take up this SheCodes course to learn more about HTML and JavaScript which definitely broadened my knowledge from what I had learned in school.
I spent some time exploring other options to learn coding online, but SheCodes was the most fun since you get to put the code to use right away! I also appreciated all the tips on using real coding programs like VS Code since it makes all the learning quicker and more applicable in the future.
I really enjoyed the course and would highly recommend it to anyone. Matt is a very good instructor, all classes are easy to follow and the support team is incredible. I'm a graphic design student who's always curious on how to do coding and luckily enough, I saw from a friend's Instagram story, she join SheCodes 3 months ago and I look up at their website and thought it would be interesting to learn basic of coding and here I am just finish my final project and I absolutely love every course. Matt was incredible and he really taught us step by step through the process.
